Abstract

The method used to increase the lung capacity value is to practice using a wind instrument, one of which is the traditional Makassar wind instrument, the Pui-Pui. The purpose of this study was to look at the description of the lung capacity values of pui-pui wind instrument players in Makassar City. This research was conducted at the Pulmonary Polyclinic of Wahidin Sudirohusodo General Hospital with 27 smokers using a purposive sampling technique. Examination of lung capacity is carried out using a spirometry device by converting its value based on values based on Pneumobile Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that smokers who have been "Pui-Pui" blown music artists for more than 6 years have lung function: 24 people (89%) who have normal lung impression, 2 people (7.4%) mild obstruction, and 1 person (3.7) mild restriction. The conclusion is the occurrence of lung function disorders due to smoking is minimized by the habit of playing a wind instrument "Pui-Pui", so that this can be used as a medium of prevention or treatment to improve the lung function of those who have smoking habits.

The research method that has been used was cross-sectional, using stratified random sampling method to determine the research sample. There are 536 respondents from 3 universities in Makassar City. The results of this study found that the level of knowledge of students about HIV / AIDS was good at 75.4% (404 respondents) and 24.6% (132 respondents) were poorly informed. Students with no-risk sexual behavior were 346 respondents (64.6%) and 190 respondents were at risk (35.4). Bivariate test results found there was no relationship between knowledge about HIV / AIDS with sexual behavior of undergraduate students with p value 0.155. Abstract

Background: The current earthquake disaster in Lombok, Indonesia, in July 2018 has caused 564 deaths, and 445.343 were evacuated to refugee camps, including children. Disasters have the potential in resulting short-and long-term effects on the psychological functioning, emotional adjustment, health, and developmental trajectory of children. Nurses play a significant role when a disaster occurs. One of the nurses’ roles is to give a traumatic healing intervention to the victims Objective: This study sought to assess children’s psychosocial state after the 2018 Lombok earthquake. Methods: A total of 189 children from five regencies in Lombok were selected to participate in the study using accidental sampling. Data were collected using the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ). Descriptive statistics and cross-tabulation were used for data analysis. Results: The participants consisted of 98 girls (51.9%) and 91 boys (48.1%), with the majority (n = 142 [75.1%]) being from school-aged children. The SDQ results showed that most of the children were at the abnormal stage for difficulties (n = 103 [54.5%]), and most of them were at a normal stage for strength (n = 97 [51.3%]). The cross-tabulation analysis revealed that gender might influence the SDQ score for the strength (p = 0.034), but not for difficulties (p = 0.482). However, age did not have a correlation with SDQ score, either for strength (p = 0.475) or difficulties (p = 0.836), respectively. Conclusion: The study found that children in Lombok generally displayed positive behavior and emotional progress after the earthquake. However, some children remained in distress and thus required more observation from parents or other social welfare agencies. This research may help nurses decide on their nursing care for children who experience disasters.

The 24HFR system will integrate the roles of nurses and nutritionists in hospitals to understand patient eating behaviour and formulate nutrition education for patients. This system is built based on the SDLC stages, from the needs analysis stage to testing and implementing the program. The usability test results using SEQ show that health workers can easily use the website-based 24HFR system.

Schools are one of the potential settings for community empowerment in efforts to implement the Healthy Living Community Movement (Germas). SMA Negeri 7 Takalar is one of the schools in Takalar Regency with 2 (two) priority problems, namely 1) the health service sector, there is no education and routine health screening carried out in schools so that health literacy is low; 2) in the area of availability of health service facilities in schools, there is no information media about health in the school environment and facilities for monitoring student health. Activities carried out to resolve partner problems include peer educator training and empowering academics in schools. This service program runs well and smoothly. This service program, through health education activities and peer educator training that has been carried out, is able to increase the knowledge and skills of students and teachers. It is hoped that all academic members can implement Germas in the school structure so that healthy and intelligent students and a healthy school environment can be created
