Abstract

This study examines the relationship between humor, emotional intelligence and personality types. Based on the limitations of various studies on humor it is important to agree with intelligence as well as the type of ownership they have. This is because considering subjects who have certain personality types will choose a different style of humor. Personality in this case is OCEAN consists of five type, those are openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness dan neuroticism.  Humor consist of three types, those are cognitive humor, neutral humor, and violence humor. Likewise, emotional intelligence possessed by individuals will determine how each of them use humor in everyday life. Youth research subjects from several schools and universities. The sampling method uses convenience sampling technique. Respondent in this research is 1000, consist of male 425 subject (42,5%) and female 575 subject (57.5%). This research produces findings that show a significant relationship between variables and the greatest value in agreeableness personality with emotional intelligence in r = 0.265, p = 0.000 <0.05. The next significant relationship is cognitive humor with emotional intelligence in r = 0.083, p = 0.009 <0.05. The last significant relationship is neutral humor with consciousness personality in r = 0.119, p = 0.000 < 0.05.

Abstract

This study wanted to test the role of humor towards stress, with emotional intelligence as a mediator variable in adolescent. Research on humor in Indonesia has been done by involving the subject of a student who is writing a thesis, a student in the first year, a graduate student, as well as in middle adulthood. Based on this, researchers want to do further research to emphasize the role of humor with emotional intelligence as a mediator in adolescent. Research is done early in adolescent because the stressful sources of school and the peer group as part of the developmental tasks. Based on the results of this study found emotional intelligence has a role as a variable mediator of superiority humor and cognitive humor to stress. Keywords: Humor, emotional intelligence, stress, adolescent.

Abstract

Humor among teenagers is one form of language. Known language is an important basis for conveying messages, intentions, or objectives as the easiest container for disseminating popular elements within the community (DeVito, 2001). Research on humor has been done by linking humor with psychological aspects, but without the norm of the measuring instrument used. Based on the research on humor with emotional intelligence done by Wijaya and Basaria (2016) using a measuring instrument of emotional intelligence of humor, showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between emotional intelligence and humor neutral. As a follow-up to the results of it, we made instrument norm of sense of humor and also norms of emotional intelligence measuring instrument. The purpose of this study is to make the norms of measuring emotional intelligence and measuring instruments of humor in adolescents, aged 11-19 years old.      Keywords: Emotional intelligence instrument, humor instrument, norm

Abstract

Students' perception of school is an important factor in student development in school. This study aims to determine the description of quality of school life of students SDN X in Jakarta. the physical condition of the school that previously suffered total physical damage such as unfit for use, until it undergoes a total renovation and can be reused. The physical condition of the school affects the students' perception of the quality of the students in their school. Quality of school life is a positive or negative experience and other feelings related to the dimensions of school life, in general and in particular. It is the main indicators of the quality of school life for students, to the satisfaction and dissatisfaction, associated with the dimension and results. Research method used is mix method. The subjects of this study are the students of grade IV to VI in SDN X Jakarta amounting to 124 students who distributed questionnaires and 4 students to be interviewed. From the results of quantitative research can be concluded that the picture of quality of school life in SDN X Jakarta tends to be high and students' perceptions of the condition of schools that have been renovated more positive than schools that are still in physical damage, especially in dimensions general satisfaction, negative feelings, and achievement. Based on these results that the physical condition of the school affects students' perceptions of school and student achievement in school. Key words: Quality of school life, primary school, dimension of QSL

Abstract

Kecerdasan emosional adalah kemampuan menerapkan daya dan kepekaan emosi. Prestasi akademik adalah hasil proses belajar. Job performance adalah penilaian dan evaluasi tugas. Belum ada penelitian mengenai hubungan antara kecerdasan emosi, prestasi akademik, dan job performance pada konteks organisasi kemahasiswaan di Indonesia sehingga tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui hubungan ketiga variabel di organisasi kemahasiswaan. Penelitian ini melibatkan 284 mahasiswa yang terlibat di organisasi kemahasiswaan (DPM dan BEM). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tiga temuan utama. Pertama, ada hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan job performance ditinjau dari diri sendiri (r=0,338, p=0,013) tetapi tidak ada hubungan ditinjau dari rekan kerja (r = 0,080, p = 0,177), maupun dari ketua (r= -0,108, p= 0,069). Kedua, ada hubungan antara prestasi akademik dengan job performance ditinjau dari ketua organisasi kemahasiswaan (r = 0,147; p= 0,00), tetapi tidak ada hubungan jika ditinjau dari diri sendiri (r= -0,013, p = 0,830), maupun rekan kerja (r= 0,056, p= 0,352). Ketiga, tidak terdapat hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dan prestasi akademik pada mahasiswa yang terlibat di organisasi kemahasiswaan (r= -0,13, p= 0,83).

Abstract

Perubahan yang terjadi pada ibu pasca melahirkan dapat membawa dampak terutama dalam hubungan terhadap pasangan. Perubahan tersebut antara lain perubahan fisik, perubahan dalam melakukan hubungan seksual, perubahan emosi dan mengurus anak. Fenomena perubahan yang terjadi pada ibu setelah pasca melahirkan dapat berdampak pada hubungan terhadap pasangan terutama dalam hal intimacy, passion, dan commitment. Robert Sternberg mengemukakan ketiga unsur cinta yaitu intimacy, passion, dan commitment haruslah seimbang agar menciptakan hubungan yang baik dan tahan lama (Papalia et al., 2009). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran triangular of love pada pasutri pasca melahirkan. Pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 12 April 2015 di Jakarta dengan melibatkan 392 pasang suami istri sebagai partisipan. Kriteria subyek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pasangan suami istri yang berusia 21-40 tahun dan memiliki anak yang berusia enam minggu hingga empat tahun. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Sternberg Triangular Love Scale. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari ketiga dimensi yaitu intimacy, passion, dan commitment dimensi passion adalah dimensi yang paling rendah diantara dimensi intimacy dan commitment pada pasangan pasca melahirkan. Hasil juga menunjukan jika dilihat dari triangular love suami dari 392 subyek yaitu; a) 1 subyek cenderung rendah pada dimensi intimacy suami, b) 10 subyek cenderung rendah pada dimensi passion suami, dan c) cenderung tinggi 392 subyek pada dimensi commitment suami. Sedangkan, pada triangular love istri dari 392 subyek didapatkan hasil berupa; a) 6 orang cenderung rendah pada dimensi intimacy istri, b) 5 orang cenderung rendah pada dimensi passion istri, dan c) cenderung tinggi 392 subyek pada dimensi commitment istri.

Abstract

Selama masa pandemi, memberikan pengaruh pada aspek-aspek kehidupan masyarakat, terutama pada pendidikan. Proses pembelajaran yang awalnya dilakukan secara offline sekarang dilakukan secara online. Hal ini pun memberikan dampak pada kepuasan hidup mahasiswa. Pada penelitian sebelumnya, masyarakat China dan Amerika telah menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif pada kontrol diri dan kepuasan hidup (Li et al., 2016). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kontrol diri terhadap kepuasan hidup mahasiswa selama masa pandemi. Oleh karena itu, untuk mendukung penelitian ini, penulis memperoleh partisipan penelitian sebanyak 431 mahasiswa/i yang berusia antara 18 – 25 tahun. Selanjutnya, peneliti menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling dengan jenis sampel yaitu convenience sampling untuk mencari partisipan. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini, yaitu Brief Self - Control Scale yang telah diadaptasikan versi Indonesia oleh Arifin dan Milla (2020) dan Satisfaction with Life Scale. Melalui uji regresi linear, telah dibuktikan bahwa kontrol diri memiliki pengaruh positif secara signifikan terhadap kepuasan hidup mahasiswa selama masa pandemi (F= 8.683, t=2.947, p < 0.05), yang berarti individu yang memiliki kontrol diri yang tinggi, maka memiliki kepuasan hidup yang tinggi.
