Abstract

This research aims to discover the relation between sound and meaning in the Arabic words. Sound, as the smallest contrastive linguistic unit has a huge influence on bringing change of meaning. The preference of certain phoneme on a word may produce certain meaning inside it. Therefore, a singel word with different phonemes produces different meaning. This research based on library research, a research proceed by gathering some facts from various books, articles, and other literatures related to the subject. This research combines semantical approach and phonological approach with analytic description method. From this research, it is found that Arabic words use certain phoneme to express certain meaning; phoneme with heavy articulation oftenly uses to express heavy activity, and phonems with light articulation oftenly uses to express light acivity.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilandasi dari fenomena perubahan metode pembelajaran dari luring ke daring akibat pandemi covid-19. Salah satu inovasi dalam pendidikan daring adalah pembentukan Madrasah Virtual Ulul Albab Yogyakarta yang mengusung konsep pendidikan Islam Rahmatan Lil Alamin berbasis digital. Namun, proses pembelajaran daring menghadapi berbagai hambatan, seperti noise, jaringan yang buruk, perbedaan waktu dan bahasa, serta adaptasi metode pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis upaya Madrasah Virtual Ulul Albab Yogyakarta dalam mengenalkan pendidikan Islam Rahmatan Lil Alamin di era digital. Dengan menggunakan metode observasi non-partisipan, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan analisis data berdasarkan teori perencanaan, penelitian ini menghasilkan beberapa temuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pemanfaatan media sosial dan platform daring sebagai upaya utama, meskipun tantangan transformasi metode pembelajaran masih signifikan. Strategi perencanaan dirancang untuk menciptakan peluang dan meminimalkan kendala. Kolaborasi, evaluasi berkala, pelatihan pengajar, serta pengembangan strategi pembelajaran daring menjadi elemen penting untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi pengenalan pendidikan Islam Rahmatan Lil Alamin. Dengan demikian, Madrasah Virtual Ulul Albab Yogyakarta dapat terus memperkuat posisinya sebagai medium pendidikan agama yang unggul di era digital.

Abstract

This article aims to discuss as well as actualize the concept of al-mantuq wa al-mafhum from the us}ul fiqh perspective in the discussion of Qur’anic interpretation. This article will focus on how Qur’anic interpretation can be approached by other discipline, namely usul fiqh, and how can the result of this approach be actualized in current situation. This Article is counted as library research, which is proceed by gathering some facts from various literatures related to the subject, and it uses analytic description method to discuss the subject. There are three main points that are found from this research: firstly, the concept of al-mantuq wa al-mafhum can be used to understand original meaning of the verse, secondly, the concept of al-mantuq wa al-mafhum can also be used to produce a new and contemporary meaning which is more suitable to current situation, and lastly, the production of those new contemporary meaning can be used as the basis of the production of law, which is known as istinbath al-hukm.

Abstract

Lembaga Dakwah Nahdhotul Ulama Yogyakarta merupakan organisasi yang terdiri dari dai-dai muda yang ada di Yogyakarta. Organisasi ini merupakan bagian dari salah satu organisasi Islam terbesar di Indonesia, yakni Nahdhotul Ulama. Organisasi ini berfungsi sebagai wadah bagi dai-dai muda untuk hadir secara aktif di tengah masyarakat melalui program dakwah, baik yang terjadwal maupun yang tidak terjadwal, misalnya kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui kajian rutinan. Namun, sejak pandemi Covid-19 masuk di Indonesia, masyarakat dituntut untuk melakukan hamper seluruh kegiatan seperti belajar, bekerja, beribadah serta aktivitas lainnya di rumah, termasuk tentu saja aktivitas dakwah. Hal tersebut dilakukan guna memutus mata rantai penyebaran virus. Untuk itulah LDNU Yogyakarta kemudian melakukan berbagai adaptasi kegiatan terutama yang berkaitan dengan kontak fisik ke dalam kegiatan online. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik deskriptif analitik dengan harapan penelitian ini dapat mendeskripsikan serta mempetakan problematika perubahan pola dakwah LDNU Yogyakarta demi tetap eksis di tengah masa pandemi covid-19. Dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa selama masa pandemi, LDNU telah beradaptasi dengan situasi yang terjadi dengan melakukan beberapa pergeseran metode dan pola dakwah, dari pola dakwah yang sebelumnya bersifat konvensional, yakni dengan off-line preaching ke dakwah yang lebih bersifat virtual, atau online preaching. Di antara program dakwah tersebut adalah ngaji online, siaran on-air by phone, dan masih banyak lagi.

Abstract

It is well known that the issue of teaching Arabic language remains essential, not only for non-native speakers but also for native speakers' children alike. As for grammar, it is more challenging to teach and comprehend due to its numerous rules interconnected with each other. Students often claim difficulty in understanding these complex rules, exacerbated by teachers' inadequate application of effective teaching methods. This research aims to explore the teaching of grammar rules, discussing the problems encountered by students in learning them and suggesting solutions, alongside a concise explanation of the essence of grammar education. This study is a qualitative conceptual research using a structural educational approach and based on library research. The data consist of classical and modern grammar books, teaching materials, and academic articles. Findings indicate that students’ aversion to Arabic grammar stems from multiple factors, including the abstract nature of grammar, inconsistent pedagogical strategies, the rigidity of traditional textbooks, and limited contextualization of grammatical examples. The proposed solution for both students and teachers involves increasing practice, clarifying and simplifying grammar, among other strategies. Keywords – Arabic, Problems, Solution, Teaching.

Abstract

Abstract: This article mainly discusses the case of structural reposition in the Arabic language and the interrelated complexities occur within the case. Technically, the case of structural reposition, to some extent, is closely similar to the terms of at-taqdīm wa at-ta’khīr in Arabic linguistic tradition. Several studies as well as researches concerning this issue have been done, mainly to describe structural elements of this case. There are mainly three elements that this article focusses on: linguistic style (deviation), linguistic structure (relation), and the implied meaning (implication). The result of this article shows that there are at least three linguistic elements (style, structure, and meaning) occur within the case of structural reposition. Those three elements have a close interrelated function that operate simultaneously (mutazāmin wa mutaẓāfir) in each linguistic unit within the case. In this sense, the structural reposition of linguistic units represents deviation, while the connection occurs between the existing units represents relation, whereas both deviation and relation can provide direct implication in producing certain meaning
