Abstract

Probiotics from coconut water lactic acid bacteria have not isolated nor identified them, and no one has studied that these probiotics can help cure Covid-19 patients. This study aimed to isolate and identify probiotic lactic acid bacteria in coconut water, both morphologically, physiologically, and biochemically. Further studied his ability to help cure Covid-19 patients. Using coconut water samples, probiotics are isolated by isolating lactic acid bacteria through dilution methods and pour plate methods. The medium used is MRSA+ CaCO3 0.3%. Physiological and morphological identification. The following identification is to perform biochemical tests such as the Gram test. The results showed that there were 73 bacterial isolates and 24 fungal isolates, consisting of 4 species of bacteria, Pediococcus sp, Lactobacillus paracasei, and Lactobacillus plantarum, as well as candida sp and rhizopus fungi. In comparison, the results of the antimicrobial analysis showed that Lactobacillus plantarum has better antimicrobial ability against the pathogen bacteria Pseudomonas aureginosa. Lactobacillus plantarum's antimicrobial ability is less good against S. aureus bacteria. These findings suggest that probiotics from coconut water can be isolated and may aid the healing of Covid-19 patients. This study has implications that in the future Covid-19 patients can be helped with coconut water.

Abstract

Penelitian tentang “ Pengaruh Pemberian Beberapa Dosis Cangkang Telur Terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) “ dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan dan laboratorium Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Barat. Tujuan Penelitian, untuk mendapatkan dosis cangkang telur yang tepat untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman Sorghum. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK), dengan 4 taraf dan 4 ulangan yaitu : dosis dosis cangkang telur, 0, 5, 10, dan 15 g/plot. Data pengamatan dianalisis secara statistika dengan uji F pada taraf nyata 5 %. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan dosis 15 g/plot memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil cukup baik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench). Key words : Cangkang Telur dan Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench).

Abstract

Penelitian dalam bentuk percobaan lapangan dengan judul “RESPONPERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN BAWANG DAUN ( Allium fistulosum L )AKIBAT PEMBERIAN BEBERAPA JENIS PUPUK KANDANG”, telah dilaksanakanpada kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Barat dikelurahan Tanjung Gadang Kecamatan Payakumbuh Barat Kota Payakumbuh Percobaan inidimulai dari September sampai dengan Desember 2015.Percobaan ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 4 perlakuandan 3 kelompok, sehingga seluruhnya terdiri dari 12 petak.Setiap petak terdapat 25 tanamandan 3 sebagai tanaman sampel. Perlakuan dalam percobaan ini adalah sebagai berikut : A =Tanpa Pupuk Kandang, B = Pupuk Kandang Sapi, C = Pupuk Kandang Ayam, D = PupukKanadang Sapi, dengan dosis 15 ton/Ha setara dengan 1,5 Kg/petak. Data hasil pengamatandirata-ratakan dan dianalisis secara statistika dengan uji F pada taraf nyata 5% bila F hitunglebih besar dari F tabel maka dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test(DNMRT) pada taraf nyata 5%.Dari hasil percobaan dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa pemberian pupuk kandangayam dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang daun.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan kosentrasi pupuk organik cair Jakaba yang optimal dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit. Penelitian dilaksanakan sejak bulan Januari sampai bulan Maret 2023 di Kebun percobaan Fakultas pertanian Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Barat. Rancangan penelitian adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan 4 kelompok. Data pengamatan dianalisis menggunakan uji F yang dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) pada taraf nyata 5% dengan perlakuannya adalah beberapa kosentrasi pupuk organik cair (POC) Jakaba 0 ml/L air, 150 ml/L air, 300 ml/L air, 450 ml/L air dan 600 ml/L air. Variabel pengamatan adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, Panjang daun terpanjang, lebar daun terlebar, diameter batang, berat basah dan berat kering bibit sawit. Hasil penelitian didapatkan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair (POC) Jakaba 450 ml/L air mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit. Abstract

The partner of the Community Service Team chaired by Prof. Dr. Suryani, MSi is KWT "Bengke Sakato" a partner from Padang Pariaman Regency. KWT "Bengke Sakato" has long been engaged in having a Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) production business, because in addition to the natural products where KWT is domiciled abundantly with coconut trees, this group has also been given training on how to make VCO. This VCO production waste has not been maximized, even though the waste such as coconut husk can be used as cocopeat and cocofiber, and shells can be used as charcoal, bags and tiles or tiles. The method used has several stages, namely Socialization, Workshop, Monitoring and Evaluation as well as mentoring. This program successfully trains people to make bags and tiles from coconut shells using machines provided by the Service Team. With the training of these KWT members, they process VCO waste into various products, it can increase the income of this group. From 500 coconut shells can earn Rp. 5,900,000. And can also increase his knowledge by 79.33%. Thus, this activity of service in the future can contribute to community income.
