Abstract

This study analyzes the constraints of vehicle type databases in the process of verifying progressive tax files at UPPPD Samsat West Jakarta. The research uses a qualitative approach. Data were obtained through interviews with three main informants, observation, and documentation. Qualitative analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions; then the two results were integrated. Of the 4,445 taxpayers examined during June 2025-June 2026, 2,928 taxpayers (65.87%) had complete files and 1,517 taxpayers (34.13%) were incomplete. The main obstacles include vehicle data mismatches, input errors, delays in synchronization between agencies, and ownership data that has not been updated. These obstacles extend verification, increase workload, hinder progressive tax determination, and increase service queues. Improvements require data updates, inter-agency coordination, system integration, taxpayer socialization, and officer competency improvement.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between Social Media Addiction, Fear of Missing Out (FoMO), Digital Distraction, and Employee Performance among Generation Z employees in Jakarta. This study involved 96 respondents, with the sample size determined using the Lemeshow formula. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that Social Media Addiction and Fear of Missing Out have a positive and significant effect on Digital Distraction. Digital Distraction has a negative and significant effect on Employee Performance. In addition, Social Media Addiction and Fear of Missing Out have negative and significant direct effects on Employee Performance. Digital Distraction also significantly mediates the relationship between Social Media Addiction and Fear of Missing Out and Employee Performance. The findings indicate that increased social media addiction and Fear of Missing Out may increase digital distraction, which subsequently reduces employee performance. These findings provide practical implications for organizations in managing digital behavior and minimizing distractions in the workplace, particularly among Generation Z employees.
