Abstract

Along with the development of technology and the needs of society, the production of packaged food and beverages is growing rapidly. Various materials are used as containers, mostly plastic, especially as drink containers. Besides being relatively cheap, lightweight, hygienic, it is also easy to process into an aesthetic and functional form. Unfortunately, this material is very difficult to decompose, so it has the potential to become waste that damages the environment and disturbs the view. Students at Islamic boarding schools are the next generation of the nation. Apart from primarily studying religious knowledge, they are also responsible for protecting and saving the environment. With self-financing, Raudhatul Ishlah Islamic Boarding School has limited funds to carry out daily student activities. For this reason, training that provides additional skills will be very beneficial for the students. The training method begins with a basic lecture on colors, design principles, an overview of the work to be made and tries to develop the creativity of the students by utilizing plastic bottle waste combined with natural materials around the pesantren. From this training, students get additional useful knowledge and skills so that they are more creative and productive. so that it can help students fill their spare time with positive activities and produce products according to the needs of students in Islamic boarding schools

Abstract

AbstractCanteen almost always exist in all campus in Indonesia, usually canteen become place to gather for any students, lecturers and another staffs. Activities usually do inside canteen is order, take, pay and seat. To become a good canteen must have facility that suffice from comfort, layout, till circulation of the user’s motion in canteen. Therefore need standardization magnitude of space in canteen to run accord to function.Magnitude of space is place for human activities with some considerations which include person, anthropomorphic person (ergonomic), person quantities, activity, facility and circulation theory which include circulation type, circulation requirement, circulation pattern and circulation system demand. On the basis of that theory this writing is made to know and analytics whether the facilities in the canteen are adequate. From the result of the research, it can be concluded that at the FSRD canteen, the distance between counter, human distance and furniture and insufficient food activity. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the zone of food and beverage counter area to maximize the area of the cafeteria so as to increase the human comfort that is in the canteenKeywords: canteen, magnitude of space, circulation AbstrakKantin pada umumnya adalah sebuah tempat khusus yang dapat digunakan pengunjungnya untuk makan, baik makanan yang dibawa sendiri maupun yang dibeli ditempat. Kantin hampir selalu ada di setiap kampus di Indonesia, biasanya kantin menjadi tempat berkumpul bagi para mahasiswa, dosen, dan staf lainnya. Aktivitas yang biasa dilakukan di dalam kantin adalah pesan, ambil, bayar, dan duduk. Untuk menjadi kantin yang baik harus memiliki fasilitas yang memadai baik dari segi kenyamanan, tata letak, hingga sirkulasi gerak pengguna pada kantin. Untuk itu diperlukan standarisasi besaran ruang pada kantin agar berjalan sesuai dengan fungsinya. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, serta teknik analisa data pendekatan kualitatif. Besaran ruang merupakantempat beraktivitas manusia dengan sejumlah pertimbangan yang mencakup pelaku, besaran antropomorfik pelaku (ergonomi), jumlah pelaku, aktivitas, fasilitas dan teori sirkulasi yang meliputi jenis sirkulasi, syarat sirkulasi, pola sirkulasi, serta tuntutan sistem sirkulasi. Berdasarkan aspek-aspek tersebut dijadikan dasar dari penelitian untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis apakah fasilitas dalam kantin tersebut sudah memadai. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pada kantin FSRD Universitas Trisakti, sirkulasi utama, jarak antar counter, jarak manusia, dan furnitur serta aktivitas makan belum mencukupi. Untuk itu diperlukan adanya pengaturan zona area countermakanan dan minuman agar dapat memaksimalkan area pada kantin tersebut sehingga menambah kenyamanan pengguna yang berada dalam kantin

Abstract

AbstractAnalysis of Material Use at Lubuk Bauk Surau. Batipuh Baruah, Batipuh, Tanah Datar District, West Sumatra. Lubuk Bauk surau is a historical cultural heritage building that is more than a hundred years old and still stands firm without significantchanges despite being renovated. The use of Surian wood material which has its own characteristics in the building, it is interesting to study the suitability of its use with the activities carried out in surau, as well as to find guidance on the type of material that is compatible with the surau building in the Lubuk Bauk area. This research is a qualitative research approach to the building of the Lubuk Bauk surau, and analyzes it using descriptive analysis techniques. The use of Surian wood as the main material in Lubuk Bauk surau is appropriate and supports the activities carried out in it. From the results of the analysis, it is known that the wood material used was chosen based on considerations: the potential of local wood sources, the ease of obtaining and processingraw materials and the characteristics of materials that are durable and lowmaintenance. AbstrakAnalisis Penggunaan Material Pada Surau Lubuk Bauk. Surau Lubuk Baukmerupakan bangunan cagar budaya bernilai sejarah yang telah berusia lebih dari seratus tahun namun masih berdiri kokoh dengan perubahan yang tidak berarti walau telah direnovasi. Penggunaan bahan kayu Surian yang memiliki karakteristik tersendiri pada bangunan, merupakan daya tarik untuk diteliti kesesuaian pemakaian material dengan kegiatan yang dilakukan di dalamnya serta untuk menemukan panduan jenis material yang sesuai dengan bangunan surau di daerah Lubuk Bauk. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan melakukan pendekatan pada bangunan surau Lubuk Bauk, menganalisa dengan menggunakan teknik analisa deskriptif. Penggunaan kayu Surian sebagai material utama pada surau Lubuk Bauk telah sesuai dan mendukung kegiatan yang dilakukan di dalamnya. Pemilihan kayu yang digunakan, berdasarkan pertimbangan potensi sumber kayu setempat, kemudahan untuk memperoleh dan mengolah bahan baku, serta karakteristik material yang tahan lama dan mudah perawatannya

Abstract

Minangkabau is an ethnic group in West Sumatra with a matrilineal ideology. The tradition of eating bajamba is an activity that has many meanings and is closely related to the role of women. For this reason, this research was conducted to find out how the role of women and the meaning implied in the tradition of eating bajamba in the rumah gadang. The ethnographic research method was used to obtain literature and field data with a qualitative research approach and descriptive analysis. From the results of the study, it was found that the role of women greatly influenced the process and layout of the area when eating bajamba at the rumah gadang. Research findings can be used as a guide and preserve the implementation of Bajamba eating activities so that they are not eroded by time. Minangkabau adalah kelompok suku-suku di Sumatera Barat yang berpaham matrilineal. Tradisi makan bajamba merupakan kegiatan yang memiliki banyak makna dan sangat berkaitan dengan peran perempuan, karenanya penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran perempuan dan makna yang tersirat dalam tradisi makan bajamba di rumah gadang. Metode penelitian etnografi digunakan untuk memperoleh data literatur dan lapangan dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif serta analisis deskriptif. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa peran perempuan sangat mempengaruhi proses dan tata letak area pada saat makan bajamba di rumah gadang. Temuan penelitian dapat dijadikan panduan serta melestarikan pelaksanakan kegiatan makan bajamba agar tidak tergerus oleh zaman.
