Abstract

Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of the analysis of observations in class V SD Negeri Babakanjati which shows the condition of low student learning outcomes accompanied by a lack of variation in using project-based learning models on the water cycle material. Referring to these problems, this study aims to determine student learning outcomes through the application of modelsProject Based Learning on water cycle material in class V Elementary School.Subject this study is a class studentV even semester of the 2022/2023 Academic Year, with a total of 19 students consisting of 11 female students and 8 male students. The research results show that application of modelsProject Based Learning can improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students on the water cycle material. This matter it can be seen from the results of student mastery in cycle I by 21% with the category "Very Low" experiencing an increase of 63% in cycle II. Then the completeness of student learning outcomes in cycle 2 becomes 84% in the "High" category. So it can be concluded that application of modelsProject Based Learning can improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students on the water cycle material. The results of this study are expected to help teachers in make use of models Project Based Learning as an effort to improve student learning outcomes and can be used as an option in implementing meaningful learning by applying various models and innovative learning methods. Abstract

The problem that occurred in the classroom action research conducted was regarding mathematics, where mathematics is considered a subject that is quite difficult to understand and understand. So that the value obtained from the learning outcomes of students has not reached the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) or has not met the complete category. The research conducted aims to improve student learning outcomes in mathematics through the application of project based learning learning models. The type of research used is in the form of classroom action research and the approach used in this classroom action research is a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches, while the data collection technique uses test and non-test techniques. The results and discussion regarding classroom action research through the application of problem-based learning models in mathematics subjects can improve student learning outcomes. So that the learning outcomes of the students were shown by the presentation of the mastery of the learning outcomes of the students which increased from cycle I to cycle II, where the percentage in cycle one was 63.7% while in cycle II it was 92.4%.

Abstract

Problem-solving ability is a fundamental competence that must be mastered by students. Consequently, the educational orientation across various stages of learning should emphasize the development of this competence. The objective of this study is to enhance problem-solving skills among sixth-grade students at SDN Munjul 03 through the implementation of Project-Based Learning model with a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach. The research approach employed is quantitative, employing a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample comprises 41 sixth-grade students at SDN Munjul 03. Data for this study were collected through observation, interviews, and tests. The findings of the research reveal that the average scores in the problem-solving skills test after the implementation of the Project-Based Learning model with the STEM approach are significantly better than before. Descriptive analysis of these results indicates a notable enhancement in problem-solving skills among students following the Project-Based Learning treatment with a STEM approach. The results of the hypothesis testing, utilizing the paired sample t-test method, also indicate that the difference between pre-treatment and post-treatment problem-solving skills test scores is statistically significant. Consequently, it can be deduced that a tangible improvement has occurred in the problem-solving abilities among the experimental class students. The conclusion drawn from this study is that the Project-Based Learning model with a STEM approach is effective in elevating problem-solving skills. The implementation of the Project-Based Learning model through the STEM approach can be regarded as one of the alternative solutions available to educators for enhancing students' problem-solving capabilities.

Abstract

Non-communicable degenerative diseases in Indonesia are increasing. Prevention efforts with herbal and traditional treatments are often and still believed by the community as alternative medicine, as well as the perception of avoiding the side effects of a drug. The current trend of switching herbs and traditional medicine to honey is increasingly rife. Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic metabolic disease characterized by hyperglycemia, as an indicator of reduced body response to insulin as a regulator of sugar metabolism in the body. The implementation method begins with observation to Kalibaru Village Head partners, distribution of activity flyers 1 week before the activity, with implementation on Friday, December 22, 2023 at 08.00-11.00; located at Kalibaru Village hall, Tengah Tani District with official lecturer team participants; STFMC students; Village head, apparatus, village midwife, and Kalibaru villagers. From the results of the activity, there was quite a lot of public interest in the concern of blood sugar checks, there was an active discussion of the audience about counseling and responses to herbal drinks. From 59 respondents, data were obtained on checking glucose levels for 2 hours of fasting for 30 residents <115 mg / dl, 22 residents 116 - 200 mg / dl, 4 residents 201-300 mg / dl, and 3 residents > 300 mg / dl. With counseling activities, it is expected to increase citizens' awareness of health, and the government's synergy efforts in controlling deadly degenerative diseases can be controlled together with all parties.
