Abstract

Giving a device to children who are too early is one example of parents' indifference to the child's development. This is due to the lack of knowledge and understanding of parents in educating and caring for children in the family. This study aims to analyze the effect of parenting programs on the knowledge and attitudes of parents in meeting the basic needs of children in Karangtanjung Village. This research is a descriptive study with the subject of research are 10 parents with different professional backgrounds in Karangtanjung Village. The research instrument used in the form of pretest and posttest questions, questionnaires, and interviews. The data analysis technique uses descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the existence of the Parenting Program can: (1) Increase parents 'knowledge of correct parenting according to the stage of child development, (2) Increase parents' concern for balanced nutrition which is important for children's growth and development. (3) Increase parents 'understanding of the importance of parents' participation in the child's learning process at home.

Abstract

AbstractParental participation and learning motivation are efforts to improve student’s natural science learning outcomes so that those need to be applied at the elementary school level. The study aimed to examine the effects of parental participation and learning motivation on natural science learning outcomes to fourth grade students of public elementary schools in Kebumen Sub-district in academic year of 2020/2021. It was a quantitative research with multiple regression method. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and tests. The prerequisite test used normality, linearity, and multicollinearity tests. Data analysis used multiple regression test and Pearson product moment correlation with a significance level of 5%, adjusted R square, and relative contributions. The results indicated that Parental participation and learning motivation had positive effects on natural science learning outcomes to fourth grade students of public elementary schools in Kebumen Sub-district in academic year of 2020/2021. The F arithmetic value was 42.421 > F table 3.023 and r arithmetic value was 0.457 > r table 0.108. It meant that the higher parental participation and learning motivation, the higher natural science learning outcomes.Keywords: parental participation, learning motivation, natural science learning outcomes AbstrakPartisipasi orang tua dan motivasi belajar merupakan upaya meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa, sehingga perlu diterapkan pada jenjang sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh partisipasi orang tua dan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IV SD Negeri se-Kecamatan Kebumen tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode regresi berganda. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan tes. Uji prasyarat menggunakan uji normalitas, linieritas dan multikolineritas. Analisis data menggunakan uji regresi berganda dan korelasi pearson product moment dengan taraf signifikansi 5% serta menggunakan sumbangan efektif dan relatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan partisipasi orang tua dan motivasi belajar berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IV SDN se-Kecamatan Kebumen tahun ajaran 2020/2021 dengan nilai F hitung 42,421 > F tabel 3,023 dan r hitung 0,457 > r tabel 0,108, artinya semakin tinggi partisipasi orang tua dan motivasi belajar maka semakin tinggi pula hasil belajar IPA siswa.Kata kunci: partisipasi orang tua, motivasi belajar, hasil belajar.
