Abstract

This study aims to determine the current condition of groundwater quality in the city of Magelang due to the disposal of domestic and industrial waste. The analysis used was to measure physical, chemical, and biological parameters in situ and ex-situ. The research method used purposive sampling and then analyzed descriptively using water quality standards. The results showed that the physical parameters were still in good condition, while the values (TSS) of Total Suspended Solid and Total Dissolved Solid was 3.7 mg / L and 227.95 mg / L. On the other hand, there was a fluctuation in the pH value at several water stations which showed a tendency to be acidic. Furthermore, the nitrate levels at research stations 1,6,7 and 9 showed values that exceeded the established threshold of 10 mg/L. Furthermore, for the BOD value that has a value of more than 2 mg / L as a requirement for entering class 1, groundwater quality is safe for hygienic, Chemical Oxygen Demand has a value that exceeds the maximum requirement of 10 mg/L in all research station and is categorized as heavy pollution. The total coliform value that exceeds the water quality standard for sanitation hygiene according to Permenkes No. 32 of 2017 at 50 MPN / 100ml. The quality of groundwater in the Magelang can be used for drinking water, provided that its use must go through the cooking process first. Keywords: Groundwater quality, waste, Magelang

Abstract

Parasite infections in aquaculture can trigger primary infections due to decreased fish immunity making it easier for other microorganisms, both bacteria and viruses, to enter the fish's body. This study aims to identify, calculate the prevalence and intensity of parasites that found in catfish ponds of the "Mino Ngremboko" fish farmers group in Grabag Village, Grabag District, Purworejo Regency. This study used the scraping method by reviewing the gills, mucus from the skin, fins and digestive tract onto a glass object which was then observed microscopically using a light microscope with a magnification of 10-40x. The parasites found were ectoparasites consisting of 6 species; Trichodina sp., Tetrahymena sp., Gyrodactylus sp., Epistylis sp., and Dactylogyrus sp. No parasites were found from the endoparasite and hematozoa groups. The highest prevalence was Dactylogyrus sp. with a prevalence rate of 54% and the lowest was Dinoflagella with a prevalence rate of 10%. The highest and lowest parasite intensities were Epistylis sp. (18,0 ind./infected fish) and Dactylogyrus sp. (2,8 ind./infected fish), respectively. It can be concluded that the level of parasitic infections in the fish farmer groups ponds was at the "common-usually” level based on William and Bunkley's prevalence criteria.Key words: Clarias sp., identification of Parasite, prevalence, intensity, Mino Ngremboko

Abstract

Abstract

The raw water is the main water used as a medium carp hatchery process performed by the unit Pengelolah freshwater aquaculture (UPBAT) Pandaan conducted, in this case the raw water is derived from well water and river water. In order to make the program successful that CPIB Central Government digalahkan, this water must be considered and examined since water is the main medium in the vaccination process, and also water is also very susceptible to pollution. But the facts on the ground show that there are still many farmers who are still underestimated and do not pay attention to the heavy metal content in the raw water in the vaccination process of carp. Based on this study, it is necessary to determine the content of heavy metals lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd) in raw water for carp fish farming (Osphronemus gouramy). Data recovery method uses appropriate samples. Water samples were taken from 2 different points and analyzed using the AAS method (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry). The results of the measurement of heavy metals Pb, Hg and Cd, showing the difference between river water and well water. The content of heavy metals from river water and well water is Pb or 0.0031 mg / l - 0.0033 mg / l and 0.0001 mg / l; 0.0011 mg / L -0.0012 mg / L and 0.00071 mg / L-0.00072 mg / L; Cd 0.0052 mg / l -0.0054 mg / l and 0.0012 mg / l -0.0013 mg / l. And the water source still does not exceed government quality standards.
