Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an increase in learning outcomes of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Ambon by using the Think Talk Write learning model on the material of One Variable Linear Equations and Inequalities. The subjects in this study were students of class VII-7 SMP Negeri 2 Ambon in the 2019/2020 academic year. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) with a teacher who acts as a teacher and takes place in 2 cycles. Data collection was carried out using tests and observation sheets. The data analysis technique used is quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques. The results of data analysis show that there is an increase in learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II, namely in cycle I the percentage of learning outcomes is 50% (15) of students who reach KKM ≥ 70 and the percentage of learning outcomes in cycle II is 73.33% (22) students who obtaining the value of student learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II increased 23.33%. Thus the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model can improve the learning outcomes of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Ambon on the material of One Variable Linear Equations and Inequalities

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada permasalahan yang terjadi saat proses belajar mengajar dan pemahaman siswa dalam materi kubus dan balok masih kurang sehingga berdampak pada hasil belajar siswa yang rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi kubus dan balok dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif Tipe Group Investigation pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 20 Ambon. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang berlangsung selama 2 siklus. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan pada siklus I menunjukkan bahwa ketuntasan siswa adalah 53%. Selanjutnya pada siklus II ketuntasan siswa meningkat menjadi 80%. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa telah meningkat 27% dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Group Investigation (GI) pada materi kubus dan balok.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability to understand the concept of fractions in grade VII students of SMP Kristen Kusu-Kusu Sereh Ambon. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive research. This research was carried out at SMP Kristen Kusu-Kusu Sereh Ambon, with the data source being class VII-1 students totaling 20 students, and the research subjects selected to be interviewed were three students. Researchers describe students' ability to understand fractional concepts by looking at the results of student answers and interviews. The results of this student's test refer to the question instructions and the student's accuracy in answering. The accuracy of the student's answers is adjusted to the assessment criteria for the test questions and the scoring criteria for the ability to understand fractional concepts with four indicators, namely indicators of the ability to provide examples and non-examples, indicators of the ability to present concepts in various forms of mathematical representation, indicators of the ability to use, utilize and select specific procedures or operations and indicators of the ability to apply concepts or algorithms in problem-solving. Based on the results of the fractional concept comprehension ability test and student interviews, one student met three indicators of concept understanding ability, namely indicators of the ability to provide examples and non-examples, the ability to present concepts in various forms of mathematical representation, and the ability to apply concepts or algorithms in problem-solving, and two students who met one indicator of concept understanding ability, namely indicators of ability to provide an example and non-example.
