Abstract

This article aims to explain the coral reef fish relationship of the Chaetodontidae family based on the Chytocrome Oxydase Imarkers (COI). This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. This qualitative descriptive study aims to determine the sequence of nucleotide bases offish Chaetodontidae in the COI area through the reading of sequences which are then used as material for making phylogenetic trees. Analyzes were performed using MEGA 10 software. The analysis was based on previous research, it was obtained the types of reef fish that inhabit the waters of the Taman Pulau Kecil of the city of Padang. The species are scattered in two zones, namely the core zone and the limited use zone in the Taman Pulau Kecil area of ​​Padang city. From the results of the analysis using MEGA 10 software, it was obtained that the level of kinship between the species tested was very close, including the species Chaetodon trifasciatus, Chaetodon vagabandus, Chaetodon triangulum, and Chaetodon lineolatus. The genetic mean distance of all species was 0.02. In general, the species relatedness found are several species found in the same location with almost the same morphology and food. By obtaining the results of the phylogenetic analysis which directly describes the level of the kinship of the Chaetodontidae group, these results can be used as the material in the development of molecular ecology and a reference in environmental conservation.

Abstract

Apis cerana, which is often known as honey bee, has spread from Afghanistan, China, Japan, to Indonesia. This distribution cannot be separated from Apis cerana's ability to survive by needing food. Pollen and nectar are the main food sources for Apis cerana in maintaining life. Apis cerana is widely cultivated by the community with its potential. This article aims to describe in more detail about the forage plants from Apis cerana and how the feeding strategies of honey bees were assembled from several studies in various regions, both in Indonesia and outside Indonesia as well as comparing these daily activities with other Apidae. The discussion is focused on the comparative analysis of the daily activities of Apis cerana with other Apidae to see the uniqueness of Apis cerana which is a factor in the number of bees being cultivated.

Abstract

Pendidikan sangat berperan penting dalam memfasilitasi siswa dalam memahami konsep dari peristiwa yang belakangan muncul seperti pandemi COVID-19. Peran pendidikan secara penuh adalah dalam menuntun siswa untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai COVID-19 salah satunya melalui pembelajaran biologi yang memiliki materi relevan dengan COVID-19. Ketersediaan informasi mengenai COVID-19 dan cara menyikapinya ditentukan oleh kemampuan literasi sains dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat tingkat kemampuan literasi sains dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siwa mengenai COVID-19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang dilakukan di SMAN 16 Padang. Hasil peneltian menunjukkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa terhadap COVID-19 berdasarkan materi biologi yang relevan adalah 57,4 dengan kriteria sedang. Sedangkan tingkat keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa terhadap COVID-19 adalah 60.8% dengan kriteria rendah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya materi pembelajaran yang mengarahkan dan melatih siswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains dan keterampilan berpikir kritis, karena kedua kemampuan tersebut sangat dibutuhkan dalam menjaga keselamatan diri menghadapi pandemi. Sangat diperlukan sebuah rancangan untuk mengembangkan materi pembelajaran biologi untuk meningkatkan kedua kemampuan tersebut.

Abstract

The science of taxonomy animal is a science that is constantly experiencing growth. One of the objects of study of the taxonomy of animals is a superclass Pisces that its application is also done at the school through the teaching of biology. To expand the repertoire of science knowledge regarding Pisces, not be separated from research that are continuously being developed by experts to produce discoveries about the Pisces superclass which also have an impact on the discovery of new concepts. Will but the content material superclass Pisces on learning and several book packages that use has not been demonstrated progress hot, even still finding misconception. This is certainly not appropriate if it is still implemented. Through the articles of this author will give a review of the science regarding the reason for the importance of increasing the relevance of the content material to expose the data and facts state of content material superclass Pisces during this. Articles of this come through research by using approach qualitative type of study library (library research). Abstrak. Ilmu taksonomi hewan merupakan ilmu yang senantiasa mengalami perkembangan. Salah satu objek kajian taksonomi hewan adalah superkelas pisces yang penerapannya juga dilakukan di sekolah melalui pembelajaran biologi. Untuk memperluas khasanah ilmu pengetahuan mengenai pisces, tidak akan lepas dari penelitian-penelitian yang terus dikembangkan oleh para ahli untuk menghasilkan penemuan-penemuan baru tentang superkelas pisces yang juga berdampak kepada penemuan konsep-konsep baru. Akan tetapi konten materi superkelas pisces pada pembelajaran dan beberapa buku paket yang digunakan belum menunjukkan perkembangan terkini, bahkan masih ditemukannya miskonsepsi. Hal ini tentu tidak tepat jika masih diterapkan. Melalui artikel ini penulis akan memberikan kajian ilmiah mengenai alasan pentingnya meningkatkan relevansi konten materi dengan memaparkan data dan fakta keadaan konten materi superkelas pisces selama ini. Artikel ini hadir melalui penelitian dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif tipe studi pustaka (library research).
