Abstract

The introduction of tourism development at the Junior High School level is indispensable. This is because the workforce in the tourism industry is dominated by education graduates up to Junior High School. By providing knowledge about tourism from an early age, it is hoped that it can produce competent and competitive human resourcesThe partner of this activity is SMP Negeri 2 Kelapa Dua Tangerang. The purpose of this activity is to increase students' knowledge about tourism in Indonesia and profession in travel industry. The method is carried out in several stages starting with surveys, coordination with partners, preparation of materials, implementation, and evaluation. This activity was attended by participants as many as 50 students. The results of this activity can be declared successful. This can be seen from (1) the level of attendance of the participants (2) the level of understanding of the participants, and (3) the realization of cooperation. The implication of this activity is to increase students' knowledge about tourism and to understand the profession in the tourism travel industry.

Abstract

Spiritual tourism is a form of tourism where one of the objectives is to seek peace of mind and spirituality. Spiritual tourism has been around for a long time, but recently it has experienced an increasing trend with many young people needing a break from their routine and seeking spiritual peace. There are various choices of spiritual tourism destinations, but there are still few studies that find out the background of tourists' decision making to visit. This study was conducted to try to find out this. This study uses two price and attractiveness variables as the antecedent variables of the decision to visit. The study was carried out by distributing questionnaires to tourists taking spiritual tourism trips to St. Mary Grotto Kerep Ambarawa. The results of the questionnaire were then processed using multiple linear regression methods. The results of the study show that both price and attractiveness have an influence on tourists' visiting decisions to a spiritual tourism destination.

Abstract

Urban tourism growing rapidly around the world, with shopping centers (malls) progressively situated as urban tourism centers that coordinated retail, excitement, eating, and social encounters. This research analyzes the perceived value of shopping centers as urban attractions within the Tangerang region, centering on the transaction between tourist perceptions, tourist experience, and the affect on perceived value. Employing a quantitative investigate approach, information were collected from 150 respondents whose the shopping center guests through a organized overview. The study employed Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze the relationships among the variables. The results of the analysis indicate that Tourist Perception and Tourist Experience has a significant influence on Perceived Value. This study contributes to the urban tourism literature by highlighting the role of malls as multifunctional tourist attractions and providing practical recommendations for tourism planners and mall developers in Tangerang, so that malls are carefully planned and intended to be a tourist destination that produces sustainable benefits. By increasing the attractiveness of malls through improving visitor perceptions and experiences, malls as one of the urban tourist destinations will be known as attractive and most sought-after places by tourists who want to get a memorable tourist experience.
