Abstract

Jakarta sebagai kota metropolitan dengan jumlah penduduk yang hampir mencapai 13 juta jiwa tidak terlepas dari tuntutan penyediaan kawasan rekreasi yang memadai bagi penduduknya. Kebutuhan masyarakat akan rekreasi sudah tidak dapat dihindari lagi, sehingga walaupun krisis ekonomi masih melanda Indonesia sejak tahun 1997, tempat-tempat rekreasi yang ada tetap dikunjungi oleh masyarakat. Taman Impian Jaya Ancol (TIJA) yang lebih dikenal dengan nama Ancol adalah salah satu tempat rekreasi yang paling populer di Jakarta. Sebagai dampak dari keadaan unit-unit rekreasinya yang berada dalam tahap maturity, TIJA menghadapi permasalahan yang cukup serius yaitu permasalahan yang berkaitan dengan jumlah pengunjung yang tentunya berpengaruh pada jumlah pendapatannya. Salah satu faktor penting untuk dapat bertahan yaitu melalui kualitas pelayanan yang baik. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis mengumpulkan data primer melalui kuesioner dan wawancara kepada pengunjung. Hasil dari penelitian ini merupakan persepsi dari konsumen terhadap pelayanan petugas Dunia Fantasi Ancol dan saran yang dapat diterapkan untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan yang kemudian dapat meningkatkan jumlah kunjungan konsumen ke Dunia Fantasi Ancol.

Abstract

Tourism must be directed to truly realize capacity, equity, empowerment and sustainability in building communities. Especially in the era of the pandemic, with the new normal, it is hoped that tourism can become one of the pillars of people's lives. Kampung Keranggan, located in South Tangerang, is one of the tourist villages that has been recognized by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy as being in the "Developing" category. This study wants to examine how the implementation of tourism village development in Keranggan Village through the principles of sustainable tourism in accordance with the four pillars in Ministerial Regulation no. 14 of 2016 / Ministerial Regulation No. 9 of 2021, namely management, economic, socio-cultural and environmental sustainability. This study method is descriptive qualitative analysis, with data collection through interviews, field surveys and implementation of focus group discussions. From the study, it is identified that Kampung Keranggan has begun to implement the four pillars of sustainable tourism destinations, although there are still several aspects that need to be improved.

Abstract

Traditional Indonesian martial art called Pencak Silat , as one of the nation's cultural assets, pencak silat is increasingly developing in Indonesian society, both from the sports and from the socio-cultural. The purposed of this research was conducted to determine the potential development of pencak silat at Merpati Putih as a cultural tourism attraction. The research was conducted on active and passive members (who had been members) of the Merpati Putih Pencak Silat  (with total 612 of respondents). pencak silat  “Merpati Putih” (known as PPS Betako Merpati Putih) was formed around the 1550s BC. This research used a qualitative descriptive method, with primary data from the results of the questionnaire, and enriched with secondary data obtained from the internet and several other sources to complement this research. This research used a qualitative descriptive method, explaining the situation and facts found in the field. To explore members' perceptions of the potential development of pencak silat “Merpati Putih” as a cultural tourism attraction, questionnaires, online observations and interview conducted on the members of PPS Betako Merpati Putih. Pencak silat “Merpati Putih” has the potential to be developed as a cultural tourism attraction, by developing and managing it more professional so that it becomes a cultural tourism asset in term of tourists interest.

Abstract

Effectiveness Of Promotion To Increase Sales In Maxx Coffee Benton Junction. Maxx Coffee is one of the local coffee shops under Lippo Group Company. This business does promotion to increase its sales. The purpose of this research is to identify the promotion strategies and analyze their effectiveness by using advertising, sales promotion, publication personal selling, and merchendise. This internship report uses the qualitative approach. The methods are interviewing the chosen respondents the understand the problem of the research and observing the promotion and respondents’ response toward it. The result of this research shows that promotion strategies by advertising, sales promotion, publication personal selling, and merchandise are effective to increase the sales.

Abstract

Lombok island is one of the priority destinations of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in West Nusa Tenggara, which the government is developing, especially in Kuta Madalika. The number of tourists out of the island of Lombok continued to increase, in 2016 reached 3,094,437 people. This data shows the existence of potential business needs that support tourism, whereas one of them is the need of tourism transportation services. This research was conducted to confirm the interest and need for tourism transportation in the form of buses at Lombok Island. The research study was conducted using a survey method with a questionnaire and supported by interviews. Based on the data collected, it can be concluded that the interests and demands for transportation services for Lombok island. The existence of tourist buses will support the development of tourism in the area.

Abstract

The purpose of this research paper to identify the impact of sustainable tourism management towards the economic conditions of a community. In 2018, Pandawa Beach has won first rank for Indonesia Sustainable Tourism Awards (ISTA) in the field of economic utilization to local communities hence the author decided to use Pandawa Beach for the research. The qualitative data were collected from interviews and the quantitative data were collected from questionnaires. The method for analyzing the data is using descriptive analysis. The research result shows that sustainable tourism gives positive impacts towards the economic conditions on Kutuh Village. 72 people out of 90 are satisfied with the current economic welfare of the local community. The data is also valid because the AVE and CR results are all above 0.7 which means the results are acceptable. Abstract

Impacts of COVID-19 on the global economy and international tourism are disastrous. This pandemic has lasted longer than other previous epidemics, and no single one-time solution could be adopted in the whole period. This research examines those financial impacts during pandemic and how a budget hotel has innovated continuously to sustain economically within a crisis management framework. The data was collected from hotel internal documents and were then discussed in form of interview with the hotel manager. The outcome shows that the pandemic affected differently throughout the period depending on government regulation. During this uncertainty, strategy need to synergize with innovation for flexibility and decision making. Facing exponential decrease in occupancies, process innovation as the driver for cost efficiencies is a must. However, organizational innovations as being able to respond to government actions and applying the right marketing innovations to grab extended stay in accordance with the new operation health and safety protocols are more crucial to achieve economic sustainability in the long run. This critical case study can then help to exemplify even other larger, better equipped, and stronger brand hotels on how to strategize effectively in this pandemic.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the potential of community-based village tourism in West Java. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative method. The informants in this study were tourism stakeholders in West Java Province, which were determined by purposive technique with a total of 9 people. The results showed that West Java Province has tourism villages with nature-based tourist attractions in the form of lakes, waterfalls and mountains with unique views, cultural tourism attractions in the form of cultural heritage where there are caves with historical relics, as well as museums that are rich in original collections. The government has a strong desire to develop original and nature-based tourist attractions. Utilization of social media and organizing events are used as a means of tourism promotion. Acceleration in the development of community-based tourism villages in West Java Province is  collaboration from stakeholders,  requires support from the government and awareness of village communities in management requires support for rural communities for development and efforts for promotion.
