Abstract

The development of the shipping and shipyard industries in Indonesia over the past ten years has been very slow. Some of the causes, including low productivity and capacity, are the main reasons for this industry's penetration. In addition, the weakening of the national economy as a result of the weakening of the global economy also affected the domestic shipping industry. The competitiveness of the shipping and shipyard industry is influenced by industrial competitiveness and national competitiveness, so that shipyard industry problems must be solved comprehensively, accompanied by strategic and systematic steps in order to be able to compete sustainably. This study aims to analyze the strategies used by several shipping companies and shipyard companies to be able to survive and compete to win and get through severe conditions. This study uses descriptive qualitative method, which is supported by semi-structured interview techniques to obtain the data used in determining the resource person, using a purposive sampling method. The data collected is then tested for validity by using the triangulation of data sources to process the data obtained in developing alternative strategies using SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, Threat) In addition to the combination of SWOT methods. The findings of the research results state that all companies carry out defensive strategies so that they are a company that still exists today.

Abstract

This study was proposed to determine how much influence the liquidity ratio, sales growth and activity have on profitability in automotive sub-sector companies. This study uses secondary data, the financial data of automotive companies listed on the IDX for the period 2018 – 2022. The sample technique uses purposive sampling and the analytical tool technique uses simple linear and multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that liquidity ratio, sales growth ratio and activity ratio partially have effect on profit. The Liquidity ratio, sales growth ratio and activity ratio simultaneously also have effect on profit growth. The variables show effect on profit, with an Adjusted R2 value of 0.0596 (59.6%), which means that the variables, Current Ratio, sales growth and Inventory Turnover, have effect on profit 59.6 % while the remaining 40.4% is explained by other variables beyond this. Partially the quality of the liquidity ratio, sales growth and activities have effect on profit.

Abstract

Persaingan yang terjadi pada dunia kerja saat ini tidaklah mudah. Persaingan yang ketat megharuskan setiap individu memiliki keahlian/ skill yang dapat diunggulkan, sehingga mudah dalam beradaptasi di dunia kerja. Kemampuan dan keahlian setiap individu muncul dari potensi diri yang digali. Karena, potensi diri merupakan kualitas terpendam seseorang yang dapat diwujudkan dan dikembangkan melalui berbagai pengalaman yang akan mengarahkan individu pada keberhasilan dan pencapaian dalam hidup. (David Yun Dai, 2020). Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk memberikan pemahaman terkait pentingnya mengenali potensi diri kepada mahasiswa/i organisasi Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Darma Persada. Kegiatan ini menjadi agenda penting utamanya bagi mahasiswa yang sedang memulai mengikuti organisasi, sehingga dapat menjadi acuan dan persiapan dalam mengenali potensi diri masing-masing. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini menggunakan interactive learning dan pendekatan kontekstual. Hasil pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, peserta mendapatkan dampak baik yaitu lebih memahami dan siap dalam menggali potensi diri melalui beberapa cara seperti yang sudah disampaikan oleh pemateri. Artikel ini dibuat dari hasil pelaksanaan seminar yang diadakan oleh Himpunan Mahasiswa Manajemen UNSADA yang berjudul “Kenali Potensi, Gapai Prestasi".
