Abstract

Abstract : Islamic tradition and science have been going through a long history. The Islamic world centred in the Middle East was once a centre of knowledge that was marked by the birth of prominent Islamic scientists and the development of knowledge and technology. Islamic tradition and science are naturally integrated. For instance, it can be seen from the necessity of Earth science knowledge in Islamic ritual practising. However, the decline of Muslim civilization also had an impact on science, including in the field of geoscience. This paper seeks to explain the relationship between the Tafsir al-Qur’an and geoscience, among of them are about the creation of the earth, the structure of the earth, as well as tectonic and volcanism, wherein al-Qur’an they are delivered in many parts.Abstrak : Tradisi Islam dan sains mengalami sejarah yang panjang. Dunia Islam yang berpusat di Timur Tengah pernah menjadi pusat pengetahuan yang ditandai dengan lahirnya ilmuan Islam terkemuka dan pengembangan pengetahuan dan teknologi. Tradisi Islam dan sains terintegrasi secara alamiah termasuk integrasi antara ilmu kebumian dan peribadatan ummat Islam. Namun, kemunduran Islam juga berdampak pada kemunduran di bidang sains, termasuk pada bidang kebumian. Makalah ini berupaya memaparkan hubungan antara tafsir-tafsir Al-Quran dengan ilmu kebumian, diantaranya penciptaan bumi, struktur bumi, serta tetonika dan vulkanisme, dimana hal tersebut telah disebutkan di beberapa bagian di dalam Al-Quran.

Abstract

Interpretation is human effort to explore their highest ability to understand  the scare text as meant by the Owner of the text. The effort is not easy, indeed.  Because every written or spoken word is only well understood by the owner.  Thus, the truth resulted from any interpretation is not absolute. For this purpose,  interpreter of Qur-an take particular methodologies to interpret the scare book,  especially in determining source or references that they will use for interpretation.  The variety of methodology can be seen from the interpretation they resulted.

Abstract

Abstract: Religion is essential to human life because it promotes a belief of the unseen as the ultimate or absolute truth. In a general sense, religion has a major role in human life, as it aims to regulate human to live better. This article attempts to look at the existence of religion as a social reality, the nature of social life, its reactions to social changes and its role in public life. The analysis suggests that religion as a belief offers a form of life in which people of faith can live as virtuous and noble intellectual human beings and have something to hold on. Therefore, with religion humans can live harmoniously and dynamically in a society and collectively advance human civilization. Abstrak: Persoalan agama merupakan yang sangat mendasar terhadap kehidupan manusia, karena agama mengandung unsur keyakinan di dalam diri manusia tentang yang gaib sebagai kebenaran yang hakiki atau kemutlakkan. Dalam pandangan umum, agama dipahami memiliki peran yang besar dalam kehidupan manusia, karena ia bertujuan untuk mengatur kehidupan manusia menjadi lebih baik. Artikel ini mencoba untuk melihat keberadaan agama sebagai realitas sosial; hakikat kehidupan sosial, reaksi yang diberikan agama terhadap perubahan sosial masyarakat serta peranan agama dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Dari beberapa telaahan yang dilakukan, agama sebagai unsur keyakinan telah memberikan suatu bentuk kehidupan bahwa orang beragama dapat bereksistensi sebagai manusia yang berbudi dan intelektual mulia serta memiliki pegangan hidup. Oleh karena itu dengan beragama manusia dapat hidup di dalam masyarakat secara harmonis dan dinamis serta dapat memajukan manusia secara bersama-sama.

Abstract

The advancement of human science can create various forms of technology. For example, creating an airplane and making bombs that initially aims to facilitate human work, but then these objects are used also for negative purposes which cause disaster for humans themselves. From this phenomenon then science must be put proportionally and side with the values of goodness and humanity in order to prevent disaster and catastrophe.

Abstract

The people of Aceh in general only know one qira'at in reading the Qur'an, namely Qira'at 'Ashim, the history of Hafash, it is caused by the lack of the knowledge of society about qira'at readings from the priests, whereas some people master the reading of qira'ah sab'ah (seven qira'at), qira'ah 'asyarah (ten qira'at) even up to fourteen qira'at. It is marked by the emergence of various writings on the development of qira'at from the Acehnese scholars. However, the limitations of media and socialization make it seem as if this knowledge has never developed. This paper aims to briefly discuss qira'at al-Qur'an and describe how it developed in Aceh, starting from recitation in classical times to modern times. This study uses a descriptive analysis method by collecting data, both in the form of readings and the results of interviews relating to the theme of the discussion. The results of the study show that the development of qira'at in Aceh is a knowledge that should not be forgotten by the wider community, especially the people of Aceh who are not the area of origin from where the Qur'an was revealed. The science and practice of qira'at can develop rapidly in Aceh and get a special place for learning. Masyarakat Aceh pada umumnya hanya mengenal satu qira’at dalam membaca Al-Qur’an, yaitu Qira’at ‘Ashim riwayat Hafash, hal ini disebabkan minimnya pengetahuan masyarakat terhadap bacaan-bacaan qira’at dari para imam. Padahal terdapat beberapa kalangan yang menguasai bacaan qira’ah sab’ah (qira’at tujuh), qira’ah ‘asyarah (qira’at sepuluh) bahkan qira’at empat belas. Hal ini ditandai dengan munculnya berbagai karya tulis pada lintas perkembangan qira’at dari para ulama Aceh. Namun, keterbatasan media dan sosialisasi menjadikan ilmu tersebut seolah-olah tidak pernah berkembang. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk membahas qira’at al-Qur’an secara ringkas dan menggambarkan bagaimana perkembangannya di Aceh, mulai dari pengajian di masa klasik sampai pada masa modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis dengan cara mengumpulkan data-data, baik berupa bacaan maupun hasil dari wawancara yang berkenaan dengan tema pembahasan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan qira’at di Aceh menjadi pengetahuan yang tidak boleh dilupakan oleh masyarakat luas, khususnya masyarakat Aceh yang bukan daerah asal dari tempat turunnya al-Qur’an. Bahkan, ilmu dan praktik qira’at bisa berkembang dengan pesat di Aceh serta mendapat tempat khusus untuk pembelajarannya.

Abstract

Every human being is a leader and will be held accountable for his leadership. In this discussion, the intended leader is someone who is favored and elected by the community to assume the scepter or leadership in a certain area. In this case, the Qur'an has explained several criteria in choosing a leader. However, people do not pay much attention to these criteria when choosing leaders. This discussion will focus on the extent of understanding of the Lamgarot community regarding the criteria for leaders and their application in selecting and determining leaders. The author finds that the criteria for a leader mentioned in the Qur'an are Islam (QS. al-Ma`idah (5): 51, fair and trustworthy (QS. al-Nisa` (4): 58, and strong (QS. al -Qashash (28): 26. In general, the people of the Lamgarot Village understand the criteria for leadership as described in the Qur'an, but only a few people have applied their understanding in practical ways. Setiap manusia adalah pemimpin dan akan dimintai pertanggungjawaban atas kepemimpinannya. Dalam pembahasan ini, pemimpin yang dimaksudkan adalah seseorang yang diunggulkan dan dipilih oleh masyarakat untuk memangku tongkat kekuasaan atau kepemimpinan di dalam wilayah tertentu. Dalam hal ini, al-Qur`an sudah memaparkan beberapa kriteria dalam memilih pemimpin. Akan tetapi, masyarakat tidak terlalu memerhatikan kriteria tersebut ketika memilih pemimpin. Pembahasan ini akan berfokus pada sejauhmana pemahaman masyarakat Kemukiman Lamgarot mengenai kriteria pemimpin serta aplikasinya dalam memilih dan menentukan pemimpin. Penulis menemukan kriteria pemimpin yang disebutkan dalam al-Qur`an adalah Islam (QS. al-Ma`idah (5): 51, adil dan amanah (QS. al-Nisa` (4): 58, dan kuat (QS. al-Qashash (28): 26. Secara garis besar, masyarakat Kemukiman Lamgarot sudah memahami kriteria pemimpin seperti yang dijelaskan di dalam al-Qur`an. Hanya saja, dari segi aplikasinya, baru sebagian masyarakat yang menerapkan pemahaman mereka.

Abstract

Cosmology in the Qur'an can be described as Allah has created the seven heavens and placing one above the other on the earth, in perfect and flawless order, each orbiting in its own way. Because the universe and the processes that occur in it are often stated as verses from Allah, examining and researching the cosmos or the universe can also mean reading these verses. By paying attention to the universe, it will be able to detail and describe and explain the verses in the Qur'an which are generally only outlines. Kosmologi dalam al-Qur’an dapat digambarkan bahwa Allah telah menciptakan tujuh lapis langit dan meletakkan yang satu di atas yang lain di atas bumi, dalam tatanan yang sempurna dan tanpa cela, masing-masing berorbit pada jalannya sendiri. Karena alam semesta dan proses-proses yang terjadi di dalamnya sering kali dinyatakan sebagai ayat-ayat Allah, maka memeriksa dan meneliti kosmos atau alam semesta dapat diartikan juga membaca ayat-ayat tersebut. Dengan memperhatikan alam semesta maka akan dapat merinci dan menguraikan serta menerangkan ayat-ayat di dalam al-Qur’an yang pada umumnya merupakan garis-garis besar saja.

Abstract

The Qur'an is a direct miracle of the Prophet Muhammad and the main source in Islam. Therefore, the Qur'an needs to be kept seriously, not only in understanding and interpreting it, but also in knowing the history of its descent, the form of the letters, and how the letters are formed. Rasm Usmani is Rasm al-Qur'an which has been agreed upon by the companions of the Prophet and is used as a guide and reference standard for writing the Qur'an by Muslims until now. However, there are still many prints of the Qur’an that violate Rasm Usmani. from the background of problem above, this study aims to find out how the history of the writing of the Qur'an, the background of the emergence of Rasm Usmani and the rules for writing verses of the Qur'an in Rasm Usmani. This research is a literature study with a historical approach. The results showed that the writing of the Qur'an was the sunnah of the Prophet which was followed by ijmak (agreement) by all scholars, because the writing was in the form of tauqifiyyah which was carried out under the supervision of the Prophet. Rasm Usmani is the writing of the verses of the Qur'an which was used and approved by Caliph Usman when the process of writing the Qur'an was carried out. The Uthmani Rasm has been agreed upon by the scholars, so that the Rasm must be followed in its entirety by not adding or subtracting a single letter. Al-Qur’an merupakan mukjizat Nabi Muhammad saw. secara langsung dan  sumber utama dalam Islam. Karena itu al-Qur’an perlu dijaga secara sungguh-sungguh,  tidak hanya pada memahami dan menafsirkannya, tapi juga mengetahui sejarah turunnya, bentuk huruf-hurufnya, dan  bagaimana bentuk hurufnya. Rasm Usmani merupakan Rasm al-Qur’an yang telah disepakati sahabat Rasulullah serta dijadikan pedoman dan standar rujukan penulisan  al-Qur’an oleh kaum muslim sampai sekarang. Namun, masih terdapat banyak cetakan al-Qur’an yang menyalahi Rasm Usmani. Berangkat dari latar belakang masalah di atas, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana sejarah penulisan al-Qur’an, latar belakang munculnya Rasm Usmani serta kaidah-kaidah penulisan ayat-ayat al-Qur’an dalam Rasm Usmani. Penelitian ini bersifat kepustakaan dengan pendekatan historis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penulisan al-Qur’an adalah sunnah Rasulullah yang diikuti secara ijmak (sepakat) oleh seluruh ulama, karena penulisannya berbentuk  tauqifiyyah yang dilakukan di bawah pengawasan Nabi. Rasm Usmani merupakan penulisan ayat-ayat al-Qur’an yang digunakan dan disetujui oleh Khalifah Usman ketika proses penulisan al-Qur’an dilakukan. Rasm Usmani telah disepakati para ulama, sehingga rasm itu harus diikuti secara utuh dengan tidak menambah atau mengurangi satu hurufpun.

Abstract

The development of science and technology in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 is very rapid. Patterns of interaction and human thought patterns and even religious patterns can change. Thus, it is necessary to internalize islamic values into the soul of the Muslim community. This paper wants to study how the method of internalizing universal Islamic values into da’wah activities.AbstrakPerkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi di era revolusi industri 4.0 sangat pesat. Pola interaksi dan pola pikir manusia bahkan pola beragama pun dapat mengalami perubahan. Dengan demikian perlu dilakukan internalisasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam diri masyarakat muslim. Tulisan ini  ingin mengkaji bagaimana metode internalisasi nilai-nilai universal Islam ke dalam kegiatan dakwah.

Abstract

The discourse that has developed so far around Islamic theology includes the emergence of dominant theological currents due to political factors. Yet if it is explored more in-depth, freedom of thought (tafakkur) is one of the main factors. Based on this understanding, two issues need to be discussed in this paper: First, how are the various methods and patterns of thought that develop in the realms of Islamic theology; Second, what issues are the subject of debate in the realms of Islamic theology. The discussion is carried out by descriptive analysis based on relevant sources that are not limited in number. The discussion results show that the thought processes carried out by kalam scholars (mutakallimīn) have had a significant influence on the growth and development of Islamic theology. The arguments of the mind that were fertilized by Greek philosophy and other civilizations also played an important role in developing Islamic theology. Besides, the formation of more dominant schools is due to the different methods of thinking in explaining God, His oneness, and His attributes.
