Abstract

This research aims at describing the improvement of students’ skill intensive reading by using the “Cooperative Script” at class VIA SDN 09 Koto Luar, Padang. The subjects were the teachers and twenty five students of class VI A. This class action research applied both qualitative and quantitative approaches. It was conducted in two cycles. The research result show that there are some improvements. As a whole, their score enhanced from 68,9% in cycle I to 91,5% in cycle II. First, their score in the Pre-reading activity increased from 76% in cycle I to 93% in cycle II. Second, their score in the Whilst-reading activity enhanced from 61% in cycle I to 91% in cycle II. Third, the score increased in post-reading activity from 69,65% in cycle I to  90,5% in  cycle  II.  Thus,  it  is concluded  that  the  the  Cooperative  Script  modelsuccessfully improves students’ skill in intensive reading.                                                                                   Keywords: intensive reading skill, the “coopative script model”

Abstract

The objective of this study is to describe the improvement of reading comprehension skill of the 4th-grade students of Elementary School No.08 Padang Besi,Padang with the use of OK5R method. This study is classroom action research that uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. The result showed that students’ reading comprehension ability increased from 70,5 (Fair) with 70,5% level of mastery in cycle I, to 86,3 (Very good) with 86% level of mastery in cycle II. The percentage of improvement from cycle I to cycle II is 16%. Based on these results, it is concluded that OK5R methodsignificantly improves the reading comprehension ability of the 4th-grade students of Elementary School No.08 Padang Besi, Padang.  Keywords: reading comprehension, OK5R method, elementary school students

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning with the Cooperative Learning Model Type NHT on the learning outcomes of broad trapezoidal and kite. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods, with a quasi experimental design with the form of a pretest-posttest non-euivalent group. The results showed that the average value of the pretest of the experimental group was 55.4 and the control group was 57.8. Analysis of the two groups using the t-test, obtained results of tcount of -6.382 and ttable at the 0.05 significance level of 2.024, so that tcount < ttable. While the average posttest value of the experimental group was 79.6 and the control group was 65.8. Analysis of the two groups using the t-test, obtained results of tcount of 4.0588 and ttabel at the 0.05 significance level of 2.024, so that tcount > t table. This shows that there are influences on the broad learning outcomes of trapezoidal and kites using the NHT type cooperative learning model.                                                                   Keywords : NHT Model, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to describe an increase in student learning outcomes in Civics learning with the Social Problem Solving Model in class V 01 SDN VII Koto Talago Guguak Subdistrict. This type of research is Class Action Research using qualitative and quantitative approaches with planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Research data from observations, test results and non-tests. Conducted in Semester I Academic Year 2018/2019. The research subjects were teachers as observers, researchers as practitioners, and class V students as many as 20 people, namely 7 men and 13 female students. The results of the first cycle of research on lesson plans averaged 67.85% (sufficient), increasing in the second cycle to 89.3 % (well). The implementation of the first cycle on the aspect of the teacher averaged 80.55% (good), increased in the second cycle to 97.22% (very good). The implementation of the first cycle on the aspects of students on average 66.66% (sufficient), increased in the second cycle to 94.44% ( very good). Student learning outcomes in the first cycle averaged 74.30 (enough), increased in the second cycle to 89.17 (good). Can be concluded Model Social Problem Solving shows an increase in student learning outcomes in Civics learning in class V Public Elementary School 01 VII Koto Talago District Guguak. Abstract

Abstract                                         The purpose of this research was to know the influence of Cooperative Learning Model Think Pair Share (TPS) toward student learning outcomes in class V SDN 09 Belakang Balok Bukittinggi City. This type of research was quasi experiment with Design Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this research was students of grade V SDN 09 Belakang Balok Bukittinggi City. Sampling technique was nonprobability sampling with jenuh sampling type. The instrument used in this research was a test. Data analysis technique in the form of hypothesis test using t-test formula. Result of hypothesis test calculation at significance level 5% obtained thitung  > ttabel  that is 2,53> 2,00758 which means Ha accepted, that is there is significant influence model Cooperative Learning type Think Pair Share (TPS) to Student Learning Outcomes in Class V SDN 09 Belakang Balok Bukittinggi City. Keywords: Think Pair Share, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of student’ speaking skills by using the image media in the classroom 2 SDN 02 inner village. The subjects of the study were 2 graders, amounting to 20 people. The result of the assessment of cycle I rrp obtained an average of 77 % and cycle 2 on average 100%. assesment of teacher cycle 1 aspect is average 78,7% and cycle 2 is average 92%. Grading student aspect 1 cycle average 73,7% and cycle 2, 90%. Learning outcome cycle 1, 74,9% and increase in cycle 2, 82,8%.In short the speaking skill can improve by using the image media in primary school.Keyword : Skills Improvement, Speaking, Picture Media.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement of narrative writing skills by using the Picture And Picture model in Class V SD Negeri 08 Pisang Kecamatan Pauh Kota Padang. The subjects of this study are researchers as teachers who teach, and students who numbered 28 people. The type of research used is classroom action research. The approach used in this research is qualitative and quantitative approach. Research shows that teacher activity during learning process in cycle I that is 79 increased to 94 in cycle II, while result of research on student activity during process of learning in cycle I that is 69 increased to 92,3 in cycle II. Student learning outcomes at the pre-writing stage of 70,2 increased to 86,9, the writing stage of 60,2 increased to 80,3, the post-writing stage of 67,2,  increased to 84,1. It can be concluded  that the Picture and Picture model can improve students' narrative writing skills in Primary School.Keywords: Writing, naration, model, Picture and Picture

Abstract

The objective of this study is to describe the improvement of reading comprehension skill of the 4th-grade students of Elementary School No.23 Marapalam, Padang with the use of Reciprocal Teaching strategy. This study is classroom action research that uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. The result showed that students’ reading comprehension ability increased from 64,98 (Fair) with 31,25% level of mastery in cycle I, to 87,88 (Very good) with 90,62% level of mastery in cycle II. The percentage of improvement from cycle I to cycle II is 22,9%. Based on these results, it is concluded that Reciprocal Teaching strategy significantly improves the reading comprehension ability of the 4th-grade students of Elementary School No.23 Marapalam, Padang. Keywords: read comprehension ability; Reciprocal Teaching strategy; Elementary school students
