Abstract

Upaya untuk membantu manajemen dalam merencanakan dan melakukan pengambilan keputusan mengenai pengalokasian yang optimal dalam memproduksi serat putih menggunakan limbah padat sabut kelapa sawit (palm press fibre) dibutuhkan formulasi analisis desain dan sistem agar biaya produksi yang digunakan dapat ditekan minimum sehingga mendapatkan produksi yang optimum. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut dibutuhkan analisis dan perencanaan mengenai sistem produksi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu membuat desain dan sistem untuk memproduksi serat putih menggunakan limbah padat sabut kelapa sawit (palm press fibre) dan mengoptimalkan produktivitas serat putih dengan minimasi biaya. Metode yang dilakukan dalam membuat desain dan sistem adalah dengan melakukan pengembangan sistem yaitu analisis sistem, desain sistem, implementasi sistem menggunakan software sybase power designer versi 16.5 dan teknik penentuan solusi optimal yang digunakan adalah metode simpleks yang diolah menggunakan software WinQSB. Hasil dari desain sistem berhasil diimplementasikan dan hasil verifikasi logika model adalah benar. Pada formulasi minimasi biaya telah didapatkan minimasi biaya produksi dengan perendaman 90 menit untuk produktivitas yang optimal. Sehingga dari hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan untuk mengoptimalkan produksi dan memaksimalkan pendapatan perusahaan dilakukan proses produksi selama 630 menit dengan biaya produksi Rp 59.610.000,- dengan kapasitas produksi 1000 kg.

Abstract

The nata de coco processing process produces waste trash in the form of liquid and solid, which is if not properly handled, it can pollute the environment. Proper handling is requires to manage the waste so that it not only lowers the negative impact it has on the environment, but also has a beneficial impact on profit. Cleaner production is an option solution for achieving an environmentally sustainable industry by increasing productivity, maximizing the use of raw resources and reducing waste. In this research, an analysis of the implementation of cleaner production in the nata de coco industry in Bogor City was conducted in numerous stages, including: preparation, planning and organization, process identification, feasibility evaluation, and determination of alternative strategies. Which purpose is to be able to make recommendations in the implementation of cleaner production for industries that are utilized and gain profit on it. From this research, it can be concluded that the underlying aspect is the technical factor from the housekeeping side, which covers the arrangement and preparation of the production flow starting from the purchasing and distribution of raw materials to the technical allocation of products. Handling waste that has gone unnoticed is also a problem in order to improve the cleanliness of the industrial site.

Abstract

Banana peel is a waste material which accounts for one-third of a whole banana that has not been peeled. Unused banana peels will certainly increase the amount of waste produced. The amount of waste will continue to increase along with the increase in banana production. One solution is to use this waste as a raw material for chips production. Besides having the potential to reduce the amount of waste, this alternative can also increase the economic value of the banana peel so that it has the opportunity to be used as a business to increase people's income

Abstract

Tanggamus was the second largest coffee producer in Lampung Province. Ulubelu was one of the districs that had the highest coffee productivity in Tanggamus. Coffee price from farmer for green bean product was Rp 20.380 per kilogram while for red picking coffee bean was more expensive. Only a few farmer had SME to process coffee into its derivative products. This activity aims to make farmer aware of the importance of handling coffee and developing cofee derivative products. This activity was also purposed to increase coffee productivity for marketing through halal certification and improving coffee products quality. The method of this community service were preparation, survey, workshop post-harvest handling and production of coffee derivatives, training and assistance of halal certification. The result of this community service were farmer interest to developed derivative products of coffee, and there were 4 SME from 2 group of farmer that had received halal certification from this activity.
