Abstract

This research aims to describe the components of Gorontalo community’s customs or marriage tradition in the novel literary work Perawan Kedua by Lizha Nur Kamiden which contains elements of gender-biased morality. This research is a qualitative descriptive by using a sociology of literature approach. The data in this research were all forms of words, phrases, and sentences that represented moral values ​​or contain elements of morality that were gender biased in the marriage tradition of Gorontalo community. The main data source of this research was the novel Perawan Kedua by Lizha Nur Kamiden. Technique of collecting data used reading, listening, recording. Technique of analyzing data used sociology of literature studies. The results found that the representation of morality in the category of gender bias in marriage tradition of Gorontalo community in Perawan Kedua novel was found in bridal clothing, the stages of marriage, namely the tolobalango tradition (marriage proposal) as well as moodutu (traditional wedding delivery procession), and the kain putih pengantin (virgin white clothing).

Abstract

Konteks pembelajaran daring yang dijalani selama pandemi berlangsung menuntut mahasiswa untuk beradaptasi dengan proses belajar yang jauh berbeda dengan sebelumnya. Perubahan kebiasaan, gaya hidup, tidak hanya berdampak pada aspek fisik semata, namun juga berdampak pada kesehatan mental. Stress bahkan depresi adalah bagian dari dampak terganggunya kondisi kejiwaan atau mental yang dialami mahasiswa akibat perubahan tersebut. Salah satu bentuk terapi yang dianggap ampuh untuk meminimalisir terganggunya kesehatan mental khususnya pada tingkatan stress dan depresi dapat dilakukan melalui menulis, dalam hal ini adalah menjadikan media buku harian atau diary sebagai sarananya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh kegiatan menulis narasi dengan menggunakan buku harian (diary) dalam mengurangi masalah kesehatan mental yaitu tingkat stress maupun depresi mahasiswa selama pandemi. Data tingkat kesehatan mental mahasiswa diperoleh melalui tes berupa kuosioner Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) kemudian dianalisis melalui analisis univariat dan bivariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menulis narasi menggunakan buku harian adalah terapi efektiv bagi kesehatan mental mahasiswa selama pandemi. One form of therapy that is considered effective to minimizing disruption of mental health, especially at the level of stress and depression, can be done through writing, in this case using a diary or diary as a medium. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of writing a narrative using a diary in reducing mental health problems, namely the stress and depression levels of students during the pandemic. Data on the mental health level of students was obtained through a test in the form of a Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) and then analyzed through univariate and bivariate analysis.
