Abstract

ABSTRAK GAMBARAN PENGETAHUAN MENGGOSOK GIGI PADA SISWA KELAS VIII SMP ISLAM AN-NAWAH DESA BATUKERBUY KECAMATAN PASEAN KABUPATEN PAMEKASAN Proporsi perilaku menggosok gigi setiap hari yaitu 94,7% dan 2,8% sudah menggosok gigi dua kali sehari, yakni pagi dan malam secara benar, upaya pemeliharaan kebersihan dan pencegahan penyakit gigi dan mulut yaitu dengan cara menghindari atau sekurang kurangnya memperkecil terjadinya pembentukan debris, plak dan kalkulus. Masalah penelitian ini adalah tingginya angka OHI-S pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Islam An-Nawah Desa Batukerbuy Kecamatan Pasean Kabupaten Pamekasan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengetahuan tentang menggosok gigi pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Islam An-Nawah Desa Batukerbuy Kecamatan Pasean Kabupaten Pamekasan. Jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan jumlah responden 30 siswa. Metode penelitian dengan pengisian lembar kuesioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan cara merekap hasil data yang telah dikumpulkan dan di sajikan dalam bentuk tabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan siswa tentang menggosok gigi dalam kategori buruk. Kata kunci : Gambaran Pengetahuan, OHI-S, Menggosok Gigi, Siswa. ABSTRACT DESCRIPTION OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF BRUSHING TOOTH IN CLASS VIII STUDENTS OF AN-NAWAH ISLAMIC SMP, BATUKERBUY VILLAGE, PASEAN DISTRICT PAMEKASAN The proportion of daily brushing behavior is 94.7% and 2.8% have brushed their teeth twice a day, namely in the morning and evening correctly, efforts to maintain cleanliness and prevent dental and oral diseases are by avoiding or at least minimizing the occurrence of debris formation. , plaque and calculus. The problem of this research is the high number of OHI-S in class VIII students of SMP Islam An-Nawah, Batukerbuy Village, Pasean District, Pamekasan Regency. The purpose of the study was to determine the knowledge about brushing teeth in eighth grade students of SMP Islam An-Nawah, Batukerbuy Village, Pasean District, Pamekasan Regency. Types of research is descriptive with the number of respondents 30 students. The method is by filling out a questionnaire sheet. The analysis technique used is to recap the results of the data that has been collected and presented in tabular form The results showed that students' knowledge about brushing their teeth was in the bad category. Abstract

One of the complications of diabetes mellitus in the field of dentistry is oral diabetic including dry mouth (xerostomia), bleeding gums (gingivitis), tartar (calculus), alveolar bone resorption, and periodontitis. Periodontitis is a complication that often occurs in people with diabetes mellitus with high prevalence rates up to 75% (Nandya, et al, 2012 in Lestari, et al, 2016). The City of Probolinggo itself has a proportion of dental and oral health problems of approximately 65% ​​- 70% and those caring for teeth approximately 8.5% - 10% of the population of 217,062 people. The problem with this research is the high prevalence of periodontitis in the Maron Public Health Center, Probolinggo Regency. This study aims to find out Motivation about the Maintenance of Dental and Oral Health (Periodontitis) in Diabetes Mellitus Patients in Maron Health Center, Probolinggo Regency. The method is by filling questionnaires and examinations, this type of research is descriptive targeting 30 people with Diabetes Mellitus. The results showed that motivation for encouragement included strong (75%), motivation for strong expectations (71%), motivation for strong reward (59%). It can be concluded that the motivation of Diabetes Mellitus patients about oral health is strong (69%). Keyword : motivation, health maintenance, diabetes mellitus, leaflets.
