Abstract

Novel Coronavirus 2019 (covid-19) is a generation of the coronavirus that humans have never identified. This virus was first reported to cause an outbreak in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. Until now, covid-19 infection cases have been reported in many countries, such as Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Iran, Italy, Germany, and more than 90 countries worldwide. Until November 1, 2020, a total of 412.784 positive cases of covid-19 were recorded, with 341.942 recovered patients and 13.943 deaths in Indonesia. The purpose of this event is to anticipate the spread of Covid-19 by reminding the public to maintain health protocols and other alternatives in preserving health, also increasing body immunity through massage and traditional Indonesian herbal medicine. This event received a good response from the public. It was evidenced by the number of participants exceeding the predetermined quota and enthusiastic in following the speaker's material. The event was a success and was well received by the participants as well as the local government. After following this event, participants can practise the knowledge obtained from the presenters to maintain and protect their health and immunity from Covid-19. Abstract

The world needs to pay attention to children who often become victims of violence and cannot escape social problems. Various safety devices that are commonly known as smart wearable devices have been created, but they still have many shortcomings. Thus, in this research a safety device that can be held by children is designed and is equipped with a button that can be pressed, then it will automatically send the location and photo of the scene to the parent's cellphone via the telegram application. It uses the Raspberry Pi Zero W controller, the GNSS HMC5983 SAW LNA GPS Module to determine the location, and the 5MP Raspberry Pi Zero Camera Module to capture the incident. Based on the results, the average time needed to share locations is 0.91 seconds, and the average time needed to capture is 11.57 seconds, if the device and receiving cellphone use the same network. Additionally, the average time needed to share locations is 0.96 seconds, and the average time needed to capture is 12.09 seconds, if the device and receiving cellphone use a different network. Both conditions have 97.5% location accuracy rate and 100% photo accuracy rate.

Abstract

Improving hand hygiene of medical personnel in hospitals is one of the main steps in preventing nosocomial infections which can threaten patient safety. However, based on WHO data, only around 40% of medical personnel consistently comply with hand hygiene protocols. Obstacles such as lack of supervision and technological limitations also worsen this condition. Therefore, this research proposes the development of an Internet of Things (IoT) based system that can monitor the hand hygiene of medical personnel in real-time, as an effort to increase compliance and support more effective hand hygiene management in the hospital environment. This research aims to design an intelligent IoT system that is able to detect and record the hand hygiene activities of medical personnel automatically, based on predetermined hand hygiene protocols. This system will also be equipped with data analysis features to help hospital management evaluate the level of medical personnel's compliance with hygiene standards. By utilizing sensor technology, this system is expected to be able to provide innovative, efficient and integrated solutions, so that it can support more optimal hygiene management in health facilities. The research method consists of three main stages. The first stage is a needs analysis and literature study to understand relevant hand hygiene standards and IoT technologies. The second stage involves system design, including virtual microcontroller-based hardware modeling, sensor simulation, and software development in a simulation environment. The third stage is system simulation and performance testing in a virtual hospital environment to evaluate its effectiveness. An iterative approach is applied to ensure the simulation results comply with theoretical user needs and applicable standards.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence is a new science that is currently being widely developed and used in all aspects to solve various tasks and problems. In advanced robotics systems, AI is used in robots to understand, reason, and act autonomously in complex environments. So far, partners still borrow robots from other agencies during robotics extracurricular activities. This community service activity aims to introduce Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics technology to high school students and hone students' skills and can develop extracurricular robotics. This activity is in the form of training that begins with providing material on the topic of AI and robotics. This training began with providing AI and robotics materials attended by 30 students and took place in the computer laboratory of SMA Intensive Taruna Pembangunan Surabaya (SMA ITP Surabaya). The robot used is an arm robot, a robot that is often used in industry for various tasks. To determine the increase in knowledge and skills, pre-test and post-test methods are carried out before and after the training and case studies/projects are provided at the end of the training. There was an increase in student knowledge of 18.77% and student skills as evidenced by all (10) groups being able to move the target. With this activity, SMA ITP Surabaya has a robotics module in the form of an arm robot and is able to develop and increase student interest in robotics extracurricular activities.

Abstract

Stunting in children has become an important global health problem and requires effective detection methods. This research has designed and developed an automatic child height measuring device equipped with a stunting detection feature to support early childhood health monitoring. This device utilizes an ultrasonic sensor to measure height in real time and compare the measurement results with applicable child growth standards to identify the risk of stunting in children. The design of this device has been designed so that it is ergonomic and easy to operate and can be used both in household environments and health facilities. Test results show that this device can provide height measurements with an accuracy rate of 98.5%, with an average time of 2.5 seconds for each measurement. And this device can detect stunting with a sensitivity level of 95%. Thus, this device can be an efficient device in assisting efforts to prevent and treat stunting in early childhood. This device is expected to make a significant contribution to improving the quality of early childhood health and supporting efforts to prevent stunting in the future.   Keywords: Health, child health, stunting detection, height measurement   ABSTRAK Stunting pada anak telah menjadi permasalahan kesehatan global yang penting dan memerlukan metode pendeteksian secara efektif. Abstract

Water-use efficiency in the household sector is a crucial aspect in supporting the sustainability of water resources. Enhancing this efficiency requires a monitoring system capable of accurately measuring consumption volume and precisely estimating usage costs. A relevant approach in this context is the implementation of Internet of Things (IoT)-based technology, which enables real-time data acquisition and transmission through smart water meter devices. This study aims to evaluate the accuracy of an IoT-based household water consumption monitoring system in estimating usage volume and calculating cost. The method involves a comparison between actual water flow data and system measurements, as well as an analysis of the discrepancy between actual costs and cost estimates produced by the application. Experimental results indicate an average deviation of 9.12% between the actual and measured volume. In contrast, the cost estimation demonstrates a very high level of accuracy, with a maximum discrepancy of only IDR 1 compared to the actual cost. These findings indicate that the system performs reliably in estimating cost, although some inaccuracies remain in volume measurement. Overall, the system demonstrates considerable potential as an effective and sustainable technological solution to support household water consumption management.
