Abstract

Epilepsy, or apoplexy, is a chronic disease characterized by recurrent seizures and impaired consciousness due to disorders of the central nervous system. In developing countries, including in RSU Putri Bidadari, epilepsy management is often hampered by high consultation costs, resulting in suboptimal quality of treatment and patient recovery. To overcome this challenge, a system is needed that can facilitate the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy more efficiently. By using this method, RSU Putri Bidadari can improve the precision of epilepsy diagnosis and determine more appropriate treatment steps, despite limited resources. The Bayes method, as a statistical approach, offers a potential solution to improve the accuracy of diagnosis through data-based probability estimation of diseases and symptoms reported by patients such as frequent hunger, thirst, urination, weight loss, vaginal infections, easy fatigue, tingling legs, and blurred vision. The analysis results of the system show an estimated probability of 73% for patients suffering from generalized epilepsy. The Bayes method-based system is expected to help RSU Putri Bidadari in providing more effective treatment and improving the overall quality of life of epilepsy patients.

Abstract

Research and Development (R&D) is a systematic approach aimed at producing practical solutions through validated processes. In education, R&D is essential for developing instructional media, teaching tools, and learning models tailored to contextual needs. This study reviews the concept of R&D, the most widely adopted models, and their implementation stages through a literature-based method. Five major models are analyzed: Borg and Gall, ADDIE, 4D, Hannafin & Peck, and Dick and Carey. Each is examined in terms of procedural structure, advantages, limitations, and applicability in educational settings. Despite their distinct frameworks, all models share core phases: needs analysis, design, development, evaluation, and implementation. The analysis shows that Borg and Gall suits large-scale iterative studies, ADDIE is valued for its simplicity and flexibility, 4D is effective for instructional tool development, Hannafin & Peck aligns with technology-based media, and Dick and Carey supports systematic instructional design. The findings emphasize the importance of selecting models based on goals, product complexity, and resource availability. This article contributes to guiding researchers and educators in applying appropriate R&D methodologies in educational practice.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the consepts, stages, and adventages of the Classroom Action Reseacrh (CAR) method as an effective approach to improving the quality of learning in schools. The research method employed ia a literature review, involving the collection ans analysis of various scholarly sources such as journals, books and relevant research findings. The result indicate that CAR is a form of reaerch that can be conducted by teachers in their own classroom through a cyclical process consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. This cycle enables teachers to continuously improve their teaching approaches and strategies. Findings from the reviewed literature highlight the strengths of CAR, which not only enhances student learning outcomes but also contributes to the professional development of teachers. Teachers are encouraged to think reflectively and creatively, with a strong focus on improving the quality and process of instruction. Classroom Action Research holds strategic value in fostering innovative, creative, and collaborative learning practices that positively impact both student achievement and teachers’ instructional performance.
