Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar matematika pada peserta didik kelas VIII MTs DDI Lombo’na karena peserta didik kurang memahami penjelasan yang diberikan oleh guru, sehingga peserta didik terasa jenuh untuk belajar. Sehingga peneliti mengadakan penelitian di MTs DDI Lombo’na dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran project based learning yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII sebanyak 15 orang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan atas dua siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri atas 4 tahap yakni Perencanaan (planning), Tindakan (Action), Observasi dan evaluasi (Observation and Evaluation), Serta Reflaksi (Reflection). Dimana Siklus I dilaksanakan sebanyak 4 kali pertemuan dan siklus II dilaksanakan sebanyak 4 kali pertemuan, pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes hasil belajar dan lembar observasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar peserta didik dilihat dari skor rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik pada siklus I adalah 61,90 menjadi 69,60 pada siklus II dan standar deviasi peserta didik pada siklus I adalah 8,02 menjadi 7,55 pada siklus II, sedangkan peserta didik yang tuntas belajar sebanyak 5 orang atau 33,33% meningkat disiklus II sebanyak 13 orang atau 86,67%. Sedangkan pada lembar observasi aktivitas peserta didik rata –rata mengalami peningkatan pada siklus I ke siklus II. Dalam hal ini terjadi peningkatan hasil peserta didik dalam belajar matematika baik pada saat pembelajaran maupun dalam kelompoknya. Dari hasil analisis, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan model pembelajar project based learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik kelas VIII MTs DDI Lombo’na.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: 1) the use of audio-visual media on the learning process, 2) students' writing skills, 3) the effect of using audio-visual media on students' writing skills. The type of research used is experimental. The population in this study were all fourth grade students UPT SDN Tile-Tile No. 9 Kepulauan Selayar, totaling 54 students. The sample used in this study was 54 people who were divided into the experimental group and the control group. The data obtained were analyzed by normality and homogeneity tests which showed that the research data were normally distributed and homogeneous and continued with hypothesis testing using t-test. The results of the study show: 1) The teacher has carried out learning using audio-visual media very well. Similarly, student activity in the learning process is very good, 2) students' writing skills have increased from the middle category to the high category, 3) there is a significant effect of using audio visual media on writing skills.

Abstract

The Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model has been widely applied in various disciplines, including physics learning at the high school level. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the STAD model in improving physics learning outcomes through literature studies from various relevant studies. The results of the analysis show that the STAD model is able to increase student involvement in learning, strengthen conceptual understanding, and improve learning outcomes significantly compared to conventional methods. The advantage of STAD lies in the structure of group cooperation that encourages active interaction between students, thus creating a more dynamic and enjoyable learning environment. In addition, this model also contributes to improving students' social skills. However, the implementation of STAD requires careful planning and support from teachers so that learning can run effectively. Thus, the STAD model is recommended as one of the effective approaches in physics learning in high school.

Abstract

This study examined the relationship between reading motivation and English literacy achievement among EFL learners. A quantitative correlational design was employed, using a reading motivation questionnaire and a standardized English literacy test administered to 30 intermediate-level students. Descriptive analysis showed that students demonstrated high literacy performance with moderate variability in reading motivation. Pearson correlation and simple linear regression revealed that reading motivation significantly predicted literacy achievement (R = 0.512, R² = 0.262, p = 0.004), indicating that 26.2% of the variance in literacy scores could be explained by motivation levels. Furthermore, an independent-samples t-test revealed no significant difference in literacy performance between male and female students (t = 0.925, p = 0.363). These findings highlight the central role of motivation in supporting literacy development in EFL contexts, suggesting that teaching practices should prioritize developing reading motivation. The study concluded that motivation is a key psychological factor influencing literacy outcomes, while gender plays no significant role in determining literacy achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of implementing gamification-based learning on enhancing active participation among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 40 Seram Bagian Timur. The background of the study stems from the low student involvement in class activities, evident in the limited contributions to discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and collaborative tasks. The research employs a quasi-experimental design with a non-randomized control group pretest–posttest, involving two classes: one experimental class receiving the gamification intervention and one control class following conventional teaching methods. The research instruments include an active participation observation rubric, a motivation questionnaire, and learning activity notes. Data analysis was conducted using independent t-test, Cohen's d effect size, and descriptive analysis to examine patterns of participatory behavior changes. The findings (based on simulation format, which can be replaced with actual data) show a significant increase in active participation levels in the experimental class compared to the control class (p < 0.01) with a moderate-to-large effect size (d = 0.68). These findings support recent meta-analyses and systematic reviews indicating that gamification can enhance student motivation, engagement, and participation when game elements are aligned with learning objectives. Overall, this study suggests that gamification is a promising pedagogical strategy to increase student engagement in the classroom and is worth implementing in secondary school contexts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menguji kevalidan media infografis berbasis program “G7KAIH” untuk mendukung pembelajaran pendidikan karakter di SMPN 4 SATAP Malangke. Menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, penelitian ini melalui tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan desain, pengembangan produk, implementasi terbatas, serta evaluasi formatif dan sumatif. Validasi dilakukan oleh tiga ahli—materi, media, dan pembelajaran—menggunakan instrumen berbasis skala Likert. Tingkat kevalidan dihitung menggunakan rumus Aiken’s V dan menghasilkan indeks pada rentang 0,85–0,92 yang termasuk kategori sangat valid. Hasil uji coba siswa menunjukkan bahwa infografis mudah dipahami, menarik, dan membantu pemaknaan nilai karakter seperti gigih, gotong royong, adaptif, dan kreatif. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa infografis “G7KAIH” layak digunakan sebagai media pendukung pembelajaran karakter dan berpotensi meningkatkan keterlibatan serta pemahaman siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the validity of the interactive multimedia “Ayo Lestarikan Lingkungan” as a learning medium for the Science and Social Studies (IPAS) subject among upper-grade students at SDN 41 Malewang, Takalar Regency. The media was developed to address the need to improve IPAS learning, which remains dominated by conventional methods, leading to low student engagement and suboptimal comprehension of environmental conservation concepts. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach focusing on the expert validation stage. Instruments consisted of validation sheets from material experts and media experts, assessing content accuracy and visual design quality. Data were analyzed by calculating the average validation scores and categorizing them according to established media feasibility criteria. The results show that the interactive multimedia achieved a valid rating across all evaluation aspects. Media experts reported an overall validity of 91.40%, with several aspects—layout, animation, typography, audio, video, interface, program, and navigation—rated highly valid. Material experts rated the learning aspects, content, and language at 79.63%, categorized as valid. Based on these findings, the developed multimedia is feasible for use as a learning medium to enhance students’ understanding and awareness of environmental conservation. The study implies that integrating interactive multimedia can be an effective alternative for improving the quality of IPAS instruction in elementary schools
