Abstract

The use of new educational approaches and technologies can be beneficial in integrating 21st century skills and core competencies in education. STEM provides students with an effective learning environment to improve math skills and other 21st century skills. This research aims to explore and synthesize the best stem applications in math learning and its impact on 21st century mathematical competence. There are several studies related to the integration of STEM in mathematics learning to improve 21st century mathematical competence, which includes critical thinking and problem solving, creativity, communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively. The search for relevant data base was conducted in a study published from 2017 to 2021 that examined STEM and 21st century math competencies in formal education. The search strategy was carried out systematically by reviewing articles in the field of Education that had been published in the ERIC, Scopus, PubMed, Science Direct, and Google Scholar databases. Based on the results of systematic reviews of the literature generated that integrating STEM in mathematical learning must pay attention to the content of the lesson, the methods used in learning must be problem-based and project-based, and learning must be cooperative. In addition, STEM integration in math learning tends to improve 21st century mathematical competence especially in critical thinking and problem solving skills

Abstract

Kebijakan pemerintah Indonesia mengharuskan untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran jarak jauh (daring) selama pandemic covid 19 . Model pembelajaran daring ini mempengaruhi self regulated learning mahasiswa terutama dalam pembelajaran matematika. Regulasi belajar mandiri juga dipengaruhi oleh tipe kepribadian dari masing-masing mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self regulated learning dengan tipe kepribadian dalam pembelajaran matematika secara dari. Penelitian ini menghasilkan model yang baik dan kuat dengan R square 0.644. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa regulasi belajar mandiri berpengaruh positif terhadap tipe kepribadian mahasiswa. Dari dua tipe kepribadian mahasiswa ternyata, tipe kepribadian introvert memiliki self regulated learning yang tinggi dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa dengan tipe kepribadian ekstrovert.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian bertujuan untuk melihat self-regulated learning terhadap prestasi akademik  matematika siswa. Pencarian relevan dari database google scholar dan scopus terkait hasil penelitian dari tahun 2011 sampai tahun 2021 yang meninjau self-regulated learning berkaitan dengan prestasi matematika. Metode pencariannya menggunakan aplikasi publish and perish. Ditemukan 890 artikel mengenai self-regulated learning, dan terdapat 172 artikel yang mengkaitkan dengan prestasi. Namun hanya 47 artikel yang mengkaji self-regulated learning dengan prestasi matematika. Dari 47 artikel tersebut dipilih 8 artikel yang paling relevan. Dalam review artikel pada kajian ini, hasil penelitian yang ada dilihat hal-hal dalam self-regulated learning yang berkolerasi terhadap kemampuan akademik. Dari studi 8 artikel yang dikaji, faktor-faktor dari self-regulated learningyang mempengaruhi terhadap prestasi akademik adalah keyakinan (self-efficacy), motivasi, dan tujuan.
