Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Media Animasi Submikroskopik (MAS) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan representasi siswa pada setiap sub materi pokok larutan penyangga. Penelitian ini menggunakan nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan (N-gain) kemampuan representasi siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi (p=0,002) dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Selain itu, rata-rata N-gain kemampuan representasi siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol pada setiap sub materi pokok. Konsep komponen larutan penyangga mengalami peningkatan tertinggi di kelas eksperimen (rata-rata N-gain = 81,21%). Konsep pH larutan penyangga mengalami peningkatan tertinggi di kelas kontrol (rata-rata N-gain = 76,42%). MAS memuat konsep larutan penyangga pada level submikroskopik dengan jelas sehingga dapat membantu siswa memahami konsep-konsep pada level makroskopik dan simbolik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa MAS dapat meningkatkan kemampuan representasi siswa pada setiap sub materi pokok. Kata Kunci:  media animasi, submikroskopik, kemampuan, representasi.  Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of Submicroscopic Animation Media (MAS) to improve the representation of students in each sub subject matter of buffer solution . This study used a nonequivalent pretest - posttest control group design. The results showed that an increase (N-gain) representation capabilities experimental class students was higher (p = 0.002) than the control class. In addition, the average N-gain representation of students' ability for experimental class higher than control class on each sub subject matter. The concept of buffer components experienced the highest increase in the experimental class (the average N-gain = 81.21%). The concept of pH buffer solution experienced the highest increase in the control class (the average N-gain = 76.42%). MAS includes the concept of a buffer solution at submicroscopic level so clearly that it can help students understand the concepts of the macroscopic and symbolic levels. Based on the results of this study concluded that the MAS can increase representation of students' abilities in each sub subject matter. Keywords : animation media, submicroscopic, capabilities, representation

Abstract

Penerapan TIK dalam pembelajaran sangat diperlukan karena merupakan  salah satu tuntutan dalam menerapkan kurikulum. Salah satu TIK yang dapat diterapkan adalah video pembelajaran.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh video pembelajaran kimia terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas X  pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan jenis quasi eksperimen yang dilaksanakan melalui rancangan” posttest-only control group design”. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang dibelajarkan dengan Media Video Pembelajaran Kimia dan kelas kontrol dengan metode konvesional.Tehnik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah sampling jenuh. Data motivasi belajar siswa diperoleh menggunakan angket sedangkan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan tes pilihan ganda. Data dianalisis menggunakan bantuan SPSS 16.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; (1) ada pengaruh video pembelajaran kimia terhadap  motivasi  belajar.  Hal ini dibuktikan oleh signifikan uji  Z 0.00< 0,05 .Rata-rata motivasi kelas eksperimen (68.35) dan lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol (60.39) (2) tidak ada pengaruh video pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan signifikan uji t 0.296> 0.05. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen73.8  dan kontrol 68.8.

Abstract

Matter of Redox Reaction has conceptual and symbolic characteristic, therefore student was claimed to understanding the concept. Quantum teaching model of learning using concept map approach could give compatible condition for student to actively involved into learning process through experiencing and reaching their own knowledge so that positively impact to student conceptual understanding. The aim of this research was to developing knowledge and thinking skill to understanding chemistry concept. In form of quasi experimental, posttest only control group design was carried out. Sample consist of two class was selected by saturated sampling, experimental class was learned by quantum teaching model of learning using concept map approach and control class was learned by conventional method and concept map approach. Data collected by reasoning objective test for student conceptual understanding measurement. The data was analyzed by t-test for hypothesis test. Based on conceptual understanding data analysis on significance level 5%, it was obtained thitung<ttabel  (0,558 < 1,995). This research showed that quantum teaching model of learning using concept map approach was not influence student conceptual understanding in reqox reaction matter of learning.

Abstract

The learning method that teachers tend to use were expository and question and answer method. It impact many students become passive without being able to develop the ability so effected their learning outcomes. This study aimed to determine the influence of learning model Problem Solving assisted chemistry articles to critical thinking skills of students. This research was quasi experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. Population of this study was all students of grade XI IPA totaling 243 students were divided into five classes. Sampling used was cluster random sampling so class XI IPA 5 as experimental group and class XI IPA 4 as control group. The data collection technique using description test. Data were analyzed with SPSS 16.0 for Windows at significant level of 5%. Initial test data were analyzed using t test. The results of the initial skills data analysis was significant value of 0.011 which means there were differences between the experimental group and control group. The final skills data were analyzed using Anacova test. The results of the final critical thinking skills data analysis was significant value of 0.000 which means there were differences between the experimental group and control group. Based on the study results concluded the learning model Problem Solving assisted chemistry articles influence to critical thinking skills of students in colloidal systems concept.
