Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi aspek kompetensi literasi sains calon guru kimia. Ada tiga kompetensi yaitu: menjelaskan fenomena sains, mengevaluasi dan merancang penyelidikan ilmiah, dan menafsirkan data dan bukti secara ilmiah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 30 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan kimia, Fakultas Pendidikan Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam IKIP Mataram, Indonesia. Data Literasi Sains dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan soal tes kimia dasar yang digunakan oleh dosen pengampu mata kuliah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata ketercapian literasi sains calon guru kimia pada kompetensi menjelaskan fenomena sains sebesar 52,5% dengan kategori kurang, mengevaluasi dan merancang penyelidikan ilmiah sebesar 52% dengan kategori kurang, dan menafsirkan data dan bukti secara ilmiah sebesar 40% dengan kategori sangat kurang. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa calon guru kimia memiliki kompetensi literasi sains yang rendah (48,2%).

Abstract

The aim of this research was to evaluate correlation student concept understanding and influence of concept attainment model of learning to their achievement on general chemistry learning.  This was carried out in correlation and quasi experimental form of study. Subject is fisrt year FPMIPA IKIP Mataram student on academic year 2015/2016 who programming general chemistry lecture. There are 33 student split on to 20 and 13 successively on experiment and control group. Data was collected by concept understanding test and learning ecvievment test. Data was analyzed by correllation, regression, and mann whitney test pf statistic. Research result showed that (1) the higher student concept understanding the greater student learning achievement on general chemistry lecture by concept attainment model of learning. Value of rcount (0,969) higher than rtable (0.454) on degree of freedom = 19 and significant value 0.05. The influence of concept understanding to student learning achievement compatible with regression equation is y=1,194x – 1,353; (2) Concept attainment model of learning was influence student learning achievement. Nilai rata-rata hasil belajar mahasiswa kelas eksperimen (61,33) lebih tinggi daripada kelas control (35,9). Value of U1 (27) < Utable (α=0.05) (67) < U2 (233)

Abstract

The aims of this study were to produce android base chemistrylearning media prototype and evaluate its elibibility andeffectiveness on student science literacy growing on redox reactionand electrochemistry subject material. In form of research anddevelopment, this study was carried out by ADDIE (Analysis,Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evalution)model ofinstructional development. Data was collected by content anddesign validation questionnaire, practitioner and student respondquestionnaire, and science litracy test. Data was analyzed byelegiibility percentega and categories and N-gain test. Study resultshowed that media design and content validity was very eleigiblewith 80 % of eligibility percentage. Practitioner and studentsrespond was very eleigible with 82.22 % and 86.35 % of eligibilitypercentage average respectively. This media effectiveness onstudent literacy growing was proven by N-gain value 0.65 % withfair category. It can be concluded that android base chemistrylearning media that developed was very eligible for chemistylearning application and grow student science literacy on redoxreaction and electrochemistry subject material effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the urgence of developing local wisdom based Chemistry learning and Lombok community tourism in the UNDIKMA Chemistry education study program and (2) describe the learning potential of growing student scientific literacy. This research was conducted in the form of a survey involving 65 students in the UNDIKMA Chemistry education study program. The data were collected using two Likert scale questionnaires. Data were analyzed using the category percentage technique. The results of the study showed that the application of local wisdom based Chemistry learning and tourism in the Lombok community in the UNDIKMA Chemistry education study program still lacked. Student responses to the idea of local wisdom based Chemistry learning and the tourism of the people of Lombok were categorized very well. Students had a high level of confidence that this learning method would increase motivation and attitudes towards learning and provided provisions that were in accordance with the needs of graduates as problem solvers and agents of change in a society that had the uniqueness of local wisdom and tourism potential.

Abstract

Penerapan TIK dalam pembelajaran sangat diperlukan karena merupakan  salah satu tuntutan dalam menerapkan kurikulum. Salah satu TIK yang dapat diterapkan adalah video pembelajaran.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh video pembelajaran kimia terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas X  pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan jenis quasi eksperimen yang dilaksanakan melalui rancangan” posttest-only control group design”. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang dibelajarkan dengan Media Video Pembelajaran Kimia dan kelas kontrol dengan metode konvesional.Tehnik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah sampling jenuh. Data motivasi belajar siswa diperoleh menggunakan angket sedangkan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan tes pilihan ganda. Data dianalisis menggunakan bantuan SPSS 16.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; (1) ada pengaruh video pembelajaran kimia terhadap  motivasi  belajar.  Hal ini dibuktikan oleh signifikan uji  Z 0.00< 0,05 .Rata-rata motivasi kelas eksperimen (68.35) dan lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol (60.39) (2) tidak ada pengaruh video pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan signifikan uji t 0.296> 0.05. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen73.8  dan kontrol 68.8.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan prototipe berupa bahan ajar yang berbasis android pada materi laju reaksi untuk menumbuhkan literasi sains siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan rancangan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). Hasil pengembangan divalidasi oleh tiga validator ahli, satu validator praktisi dan sepuluh siswa SMAN 1 Wanasaba sebagai validator uji terbatas siswa. Data kuantitatif hasil validasi kelayakan dan hasil penilaian sikap siswa terhadap sains dianalisis dengan rumus persentase dan data hasil ujicoba terbatas bagaimana penggunaanbahan ajar yang berbasis android pada materi laju reaksi dihitung dengan N-gain. Data kualitatif berupa tanggapan dan saran perbaikan dari validator digunakan sebagai pertimbangan untuk melakukan revisi terhadap bahan ajar yang dikembangkan. Kelayakan media pembelajaran berbasis android yang dikembangkan yakni sangat layak dengan persentase kelayakan oleh ahli materi sebesar 92,5% dan ahli media sebesar 86,5%, praktisi dari guru kimia 89%, praktisi dari siswa 85%, serta uji praktisi dari soal literasi sains siswa sebesar 92 % dengan kesimpuan sangat layak.. Di samping itu dari uji kelayakan tahap lanjut didapatkan rata-rata skor N-gain yakni 0,52 dengan kategori sedang dan % sikap siswa terhadap sains sebesar 81 % dengan kategori sangat layak. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahawa pertumbuhan literasi sains siswa dikategorikan sedang dan hasil ini layak untuk dilanjutkan ke ujicoba skala luas

Abstract

Dewasa ini hadirnya teknologi berbasis mobile dalam pembelajaran menjadi pilihan karena menghadirkan kenyamanan dalam aksestabilitas dan proses yang lebih baik. Bagaimana dampak hadirnya teknologo mobile dalam pembelajaran berbasis CTL merupakan isu yang masih perlu dipelajari. Penelitian ini bertujuan utuk mengetahui pengaruh media aplikasi android dalam penerapan model pembelajaran CTL terhadapmotivasi dan hasil belajar. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MA Arraufiyah Jenggik Utara. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik non probablity sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur motivasi adalah angket motivasi, sedangkan hasil belajar diukur menggunakan tes pilihan ganda. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan Uji-t. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah (1) motivasi belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen  meningkat dengan nilai 81,61% dengan kategori motivasi tinggi dan kelas kontrol 61,18% dengan kategori motivasi sedan, (2) hasil belajar siswa memiliki signifikansi sebesar 0,003 < 0,005.Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran CTL berbantuan media aplikasi android terhadap  motivasi dan hasil  belajar siswa pada materi sistem periodik unsur.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the importance of understanding the nature of science for science teachers as a solution in teaching multidimensional science. Science is a knowledge (scientific product), a series of investigation processes (scientific process), and scientific attitude which is reflected in the nature of Science (Nature of Science). NOS describes the real science, how it works, and its interaction with society in the perspectives of philosophy, history, sociology, and psychology of science. Understanding NOS is an important aspect of scientific literacy. The results of research in recent times show that teachers and students do not understand the concept of NOS optimally. This study uses literature analysis. The results show that NOS is divided into three main aspects, namely the nature of scientific knowledge, the nature of scientific investigation and the nature of scientific endeavor. understanding the concept of NOS must be an important part to be instilled in science teachers. Learning science is not just knowing natural objects, but science has a wider study dimension than that, which needs to be studied from the ontological, epistemological and axiological side. Teachers must master how to teach science, how the impact or influence of science learning and what influences science learning. Thus, understanding the NOS concept of science teachers will have an impact on students' mastery of understanding the NOS concept.

Abstract

This study is one of the efforts to examine the literature because there is still limited reconstruction of the original science that developed in society into scientific science. This study can then be developed and applied by students as a source of independent learning. The study of local potential in science learning is very important to do, considering that not many have comprehensively analyzed this topic. The local potential that exists in each region can be a wealth of references in learning. Local potential in the form of natural resources, language, customs, arts and can be a wealth of food. Since ancient times, the role of food has been studied as an ingredient to fulfill nutritional needs. Without realizing it, food, especially traditional food, has become the identity of a nation. Traditional food can be a reflection of the geographical, social and cultural conditions that are unique to a nation. This research is important to do so that the potential for research can be known and can be used as a consideration in developing further learning designs. The purpose of this study is to reconstruct the concept of science learning to increase local food preferences into scientific science, as well as to explain science material related to the reconstruction of original science in the process of making traditional food.

Abstract

The skills of students in the global era or the twenty-first century become a very important topic in learning. The lack of students' understanding of 21st century skills is caused by a lack of global awareness and the importance of global skills which are the basis for developing students' self as citizens of the world. Globalization shows that the world is getting smaller, the dependence between nations is getting bigger. Globalization is a globalizing process, meaning that all activities are calculated for the benefit of the world. Therefore, it is necessary to study in-depth literature on increasing global awareness as the basis for future education. The method used is literature review. The source of the literature review used is in the form of articles that are in accordance with this article. students need academic and applied knowledge, can connect knowledge and skills, be creative and adaptive, and be able to transform all these aspects into valuable skills. Students must have skills that include: (1) Critical Thinking Skills; (2) Problem Solving Ability; (3) Communication and Collaboration; (4) Creativity and Innovation; (5) Information, Communication, and Technology Media Literacy
