Abstract

The lofty values that serve as guidelines for human life is a necessity for anyone who desires a happy life of worldly and hereafter good someone as an individual or part of a system. Man cannot live alone, hence each individual wherever possible can mingle with other individuals. Human Keberbauran in a particular community did not escape with the existence of rules and norms that apply as well as an accompanying value. This is the value of the existence of a person can be said to be good or is deemed otherwise. To understand the meaning of a value it then very determined educational role. Abstract

To know the intricacies of something needed in a study, it was done to get an answer from the occurrence of something using scientific methods. In the world of research, there are at least two types of research, namely qualitative and quantitative. The following will be discussed about the evaluation research, in the world important research evaluation education is conducted in order to measure progress and further develop in a better direction. In principle, evaluation studies to make decisions by comparing data or information collected against criteria, standards, or benchmarks used as comparators for the data obtained. While evaluation is a systematic and ongoing process to determine the quality (value and meaning) of something, based on certain considerations and criteria in the framework of decision making. Among the evaluation models referred to IS; CIPP evaluation Model, UCLA Model evaluation, Brinkerhoff Model and Stake Model or Countenance Model. Meanwhile, evaluation research can be divided into two types, namely formative evaluation, and summative evaluation. The standard procedures in evaluation research are as follows; Clarification of reason to evaluate (explain the reasons why evaluation is held), choose Evaluation model, identify related parties, determination of components to be evaluated, identify evaluation questions, Compiling design evaluation and schedule of activities, collection, and analysis of data, reporting of evaluation results. Abstract

Pesantren education in Indonesia faces challenges in integrating the development of spiritual, moral, and academic competence of santri in a balanced manner. Al-Ghazzali's Sufistic thought is considered relevant to strengthen pesantren education practices because it emphasises purification of the soul (tazkiyatun nafs), moral development (tarbiyatul akhlaq), and systematic dhikr practices. This study aims to analyse the influence of al-Ghazzali's Sufistic principles on pesantren education practices in Indonesia. The research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytic type to obtain an in-depth understanding of the implementation of Sufistic values in the context of pesantren education. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with kyai, ustaz, and santri; participatory observation of learning and worship activities; and documentation of curriculum and teaching records. Data analysis was conducted through reduction, presentation, and triangulation to ensure the validity and consistency of the findings. The results show that the application of the tazkiyatun nafs principle encourages santri to conduct self-reflection, routine dhikr, and spiritual evaluation so as to increase self-awareness, discipline, and emotional control. The principle of tarbiyatul akhlaq through moral mentoring and social activities strengthens the character, empathy, and social responsibility of santri. The integration of al-Ghazzali's Sufistic values in the curriculum and daily activities creates a balance between intellectual and spiritual aspects, forming students who are spiritually mature, noble, and able to interact harmoniously in society. In conclusion, al-Ghazzali's Sufistic thought plays a significant role in improving the quality of pesantren education holistically. Future research is recommended to compare pesantren that apply Sufistic principles with those that do not, as well as examining the application of Sufistic.
