Abstract

This research discusses the relationship between Interpersonal Communication and the phenomenon of verbal bullying among students. It examines the impact of verbal bullying on the students' socialization process. The research is descriptive and employs symbolic interactionist theory. The method used is qualitative, gathering data through interviews with informants. The study concludes that verbal bullying can impact students' interpersonal communication. Interpersonal communication is identified as a key element in preventing bullying cases. Understanding each other better, enhancing empathy, and being mindful of the impact of words in interactions are crucial steps in reducing potentially bullying situations.

Abstract

Communication is the most important key to building good relationships with each other. Effective communication relies heavily on an individual's skills in sending and receiving messages. Effective communication is an activity of conveying meaning (message) from one person to another, and this activity is mutually beneficial. Effective communication is a problem faced by Indonesian society today. They are not yet accustomed to an effective communication culture and lack the ability to listen in communication, so they often express their opinions to solve problems rather than having opinions to solve them. This research used a qualitative descriptive research method and also conducted interviews with resource persons. In this research, the researcher took the example of a successful communicator in her field, namely a junior daughter. Putri Juniawan is now someone who is successful in her career. By relying on his courage and public speaking, he was able to establish very extensive relationships with several companies. Active listening ability refers to an active comprehension process to obtain information and the speaker's attitude, the aim of which is to understand the conversation objectively.

Abstract

Pada era digital saat ini, media sosial telah menjadi bagian tak terpisahkan dari kehidupan sehari-hari, khususnya bagi generasi muda. Di antara beragam platform media sosial yang ada, Instagram menjadi salah satu yang paling populer, khususnya di kalangan mahasiswa untirta. Media ini tidak hanya digunakan sebagai wadah berbagi foto dan video, tetapi juga sebagai ruang untuk interaksi sosial, ekspresi diri, serta pencarian dan penerimaan informasi. Namun, di balik fungsinya yang beragam, terdapat pertanyaan mendalam mengenai sejauh mana pengaruh Instagram dalam membentuk realitas sosial komunitas mahasiswa untirta. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi, yaitu cara membangun pemahaman terhadap realitas yang dialami oleh seseorang, pemahaman tersebut dibangun dari subjek yang menjalani aktivitas di kehidupannya . Fokus pada pendekatan fenomenologi yaitu bagaimana subjek memaknai pengalaman pribadinya yang berkaitan dengan fenomena tertentu, pengalaman yang dimaksudkan bukanlah pengalaman biasa, namun pengalaman yang berkaitan dengan struktur kesadaran individu baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung . Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan yang dilakukan oleh peneliti dengan membagi berdasarkan kategorisasi yaitu identitas fans di media sosial, konstuksi identitas perempuan fans F.C. Barcelona, dan fanatisme fans F.C. Barcelona menunjukkan bahwa sebagai fans perempuan F.C. Barcelona, narasumber ingin dilihat sebagai individu yang benar-benar mendukung F.C Barcalona.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana estetika visual dalam video musik K-Pop, dengan fokus pada grup Aespa, mempengaruhi persepsi merek di kalangan Generasi Z. K-Pop telah berkembang menjadi fenomena budaya global yang memikat jutaan penggemar dengan gaya musik yang menarik dan estetika visual yang mengesankan. Elemen visual seperti kostum, make-up, set, koreografi, hingga pengaturan warna video juga akan memengaruhi persepsi Aespa oleh Gen-Z. Dengan menganalisis elemen-elemen visual yang digunakan dalam video musik Aespa dan bagaimana elemen-elemen tersebut diterima oleh audiens Gen-Z, penulis dapat menyampaikan bahwa estetika visual akan penting dalam penyampaian pesan serta merek supaya dapat memengaruhi persepsi audiens terutama Gen-Z.

Abstract

Abstrak Komunikasi nonverbal merujuk pada cara komunikasi individu yang tidak bergantung pada penggunaan kata-kata atau bahasa lisan. Fenomena ini melibatkan sejumlah elemen yang beragam, yang berperan dalam mentransmisikan pesan, mengungkapkan emosi, serta menyampaikan informasi tanpa bergantung pada kata-kata. Aspek-aspek tersebut mencakup pergerakan tubuh, ekspresi wajah, kontak mata, bahasa tubuh, intonasi suara, dan berbagai faktor lain yang turut berkontribusi dalam proses komunikatif. Dalam film “A Quiet Place”, interaksi yang dilakukan oleh karakter utama yaitu keluarga Abbott menggunakan komunikasi non verbal seperti bahasa isyarat dan gerakan tubuh karena karakter-karakternya harus menjaga ketenangan untuk menghindari bahaya. Dengan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, peneliti mengumpulkan data analisis pola komunikasi non verbal dalam interaksi keluarga Abbott pada film “A Quiet Place” ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi pada film dengan tujuan mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis pola komunikasi non-verbal yang digunakan oleh karakter dalam film "A Quiet Place". Hasil penelitiannya mencakup bagaimana interaksi yang didapatkan keluarga Abbott pada film “A Quiet Place” tersampaikan satu sama lain melalui komunikasi non verbal.

Abstract

BTS fans listen to the song Magic Shop to improve their mood, as a stress reliever, to reduce depression, to reduce pressure, or as a medium for self-healing. In the song Magic Shop, BTS conveys a message through its lyrics about mental health. BTS also invites its fans to show the best in their lives. This research aims to explain the meaning of the song Magic Shop BTS from the communicator aspect through works that stimulate young people to maintain mental health and behave more positively. This research used a constructivist paradigm a qualitative approach by applying the phenomenological method and carrying out observations and literature reviews. The data collection technique was carried out by in-depth interviews. This research refers to the SOR communication theory from Houland et al., where the communicator can provide a stimulus to the organism through his messages to change or adjust its behavior. The research results showed that Magic Shop BTS music has an influence as a means of relaxing oneself, alleviating mental health disorders such as stress, excessive anxiety, fear, and so on.

Abstract

This research analyzes the use of Sign Language in the music video "Permission to Dance" by BTS and its impact on the deaf community. BTS integrated Korean Sign Language and International Sign Language into the choreography of this song, with the aim of saying goodbye to Covid-19 and bringing happiness after difficult times. This Sign Language choreography has a message of peace, happiness and unity for everyone, including those with special needs. This music video received appreciation from WHO because it allows people with hearing impairments to enjoy music. This research uses a constructivist paradigm, a qualitative approach with phenomenological and observational methods. Referring to the SOR communication theory from Houland, et al., where the communicator can provide a stimulus through his messages to the organism to change or adjust its behavior. Analysis of reactions from social media users shows that this music video is very liked and touching, especially by people with hearing loss. From the research results, it was concluded that the BTS music video "Permission To Dance" with Sign Language choreography had a positive impact on people with hearing impairments or hearing impairments.

Abstract

Social media has a significant role in human life, especially among young people such as Generation Z, who were born between 1996 and 2010. The use of social media greatly influences generation Z's daily activities. This journal explores the role of social media in generation Z communication dynamics through a qualitative research apprsoach. In an effort to understand how generation Z uses and interacts with social media, this research explores the complexity of experiences, views and identity construction formed through digital platforms. With a focus on interaction and interpretation, qualitative methodology was used to analyze data obtained from in-depth interviews, observations, and social media content analysis. The research results illustrate that social media is not only a communication tool but also an arena where generation Z builds and expresses their identity, values and communication patterns. These findings provide deep insight into how generation Z understands, responds to, and shapes their communication environment through social media use, highlighting the importance of social constructs in shaping their communication experiences.

Abstract

The existence of the Al-Hijrah mosque is proof of how the community members amount 120 families, suddenly, unplanned, and with a relatively low level of education and a weak economy, were able to build a mosque at a total cost of around IDR 1.7 billion within six months by relying on local wisdom called Communication Guyub (collaborative, togetherness, mutual cooperation). First, communication uses online and offline media, with offline media being dominant. The main cause is because not all residents have smart phones and internet quota, especially those aged 40 years and over. Second, the area is small and the community system is entrenched, this is the reason why residents prefer to share information directly through daily life activities. This research aims to determine the methods/models of Guyub Communication practices and strategies for residents of the Cimareng neighborhood to produce a mosque worth IDR. 1.7 billion within six months in sudden, unplanned conditions and relatively limited conditions. It is hoped that the findings of this research can inspire and become a variant of other development strategies that improve the welfare of society.
