Abstract

Manajemen bencana pada gedung merupakan hal yang perlu diperhatikan bagi pengelola gedung. Salah satu manajemen bencana kebakaran pada gedung adalah penentukan jalur penyelamatan keluar dari gedung. Guna mengurangi risiko terhadap bencana di gedung, penelitian ini mengusulkan sistem evakuasi penghuni dan pengunjung gedung terhadap bencana kebakaran. Sistem ini akan membantu penghuni gedung dalam menyelamatkan diri, dengan menghindari tempat yang berbahaya ataupun berisiko dan memilih jalur/tempat yang aman. Penentuan jalur evakuasi tergantung dari posisi letak titik-titik kebakaran dan posisi dari penghuni. Penentuan jalur evakuasi diolah oleh jejaring piranti embedded. Jejaring piranti embedded tersebut merepresentasikan peta titik/node dan jalur didalam suatu gedung. Masing-masing piranti embedded dilengkapi dengan sensor deteksi kebakaran dan layar TV/panel output. Algoritma dan protokol komunikasi untuk menentukan jalur evakuasi ditanan dalam jejaring piranti embedded tersebut. Setelah peta node dan jalur terbentuk oleh protokol komunikasi, algoritma routing penentuan jalur dijalankan. Penentuan jalur evakuasi bencana ini membutuhkan rute jalur jamak. Penelitian ini mengembangkan algoritma ruting Bellmand Ford untuk dapat menangani routing jalur jamak (multi-path route). Routing jalur jamak dimaksudkan untuk dapat mengurangi beban arus dari banyak titik.

Abstract

Praktikum Jaringan Komputer memerlukan sejumlah komputer yang berfungsi sebagai client dan server. Diperlukan juga sejumlah router dan switch yang bersifat dedicated. Namun router dan switch dapat digantikan dengan komputer yang dikonfigurasikan secara khusus. Hal ini berarti untuk praktikum jaringan komputer diperlukan komputer dengan jumlah yang banyak. Kebutuhan akan jumlah komputer ini, kadang menjadikan kendala untuk melaksakan praktikum jaringan komputer.Virtualisasi memungkinkan untuk menjalankan beberapa mesin virtual pada sebuah komputer. Hal ini berarti dengan satu buah komputer dimungkinkan untuk mengadakan beberapa komputer virtual guna kebutuhan praktikum. Namun apakah komputer virtual dapat dipakai untuk kebutuhan praktikum jaringan komputer?Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengujian pada produk virtualisasi, VirtualBox dari Oracle Inc dan VMware Player dari VMware Inc. Kedua produk ini dipilih karena mempunyai lisensi yang bersifat bebas. Pada komputer virtual yang dihasilkan, diinstal sistem operasi Mikrotik. Dengan sistem operasi Mikrotik sebuah komputer dapat dikonfigurasikan menjadi sebuah router ataupun switch.Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, praktikum jaringan komputer sangat mungkin untuk dilakukan dalam lingkungan virtual. VMware Player berfungsi lebih baik dibanding dengan Virtual Box. VMware player mampu memvirtualisasikan network interface card lebih baik dibanding dengan VirtualBox. Pada komputer virtual dengan VMware Player, sistem operasi Mikrotik dapat menjalan fungsi bridge. Hal ini dibutuhkan untuk melakukan praktikum jaringan komputer pada topik tentang switching.

Abstract

The education sector is one of the most impacted areas of the COVID-19 pandemic. Schools, which generally hold offline meetings, now have to transform into online sessions. With this pandemic, the teaching process must be "forced" to be online. The assignment model is usually given in physical mode (questions on paper, done and collected) is no longer relevant because of the limitations of physical meetings. On the other hand, students need an explanation from the teacher directly because they are familiar with the context of offline learning. Judging from the lack of computer ownership, whether owned by students or their parents, the technological literacy of the student and the teacher is required to carry out this teaching and learning process properly. To answer this problem, the Informatics and Electrical Study Program at Sanata Dharma University held training activities for making teaching media for SD Negeri Sawah teachers, who ultimately played an important role in improving teachers' technological literacy in carrying out online learning. In addition, at the school's request, we also held a phase 2 training targeting fourth-graders in preparation for the ANBK, a computer-based national exam they had to pass in the following year, which successfully increased the student's confidence to sit the test.

Abstract

Information technology-based learning has become a significant method to enhance the quality of education. Information technology allows students to learn without being limited by time and space. Students can also study and practice independently according to their capacity and needs. E-learning is a learning methodology that requires information technology. One of the information technologies that has been used for learning is Moodle. Moodle is a learning management system" (LMS) used to organize, deliver learning materials, and assess students' competencies. Like a general web page, Moodle has features for presenting classes and courses, where teachers can upload teaching materials, questions, and assignments. Students can log into Moodle and select the classes provided or registered for them. Student activities in Moodle will be monitored for learning progress and evaluation grades. In Indonesia, Moodle has been used by secondary schools, universities, and companies for e-learning. This workshop on Learning Management Systems (LMS) especially for rural students is considered as their level of computer literacy still needs improvement.
