Abstract

Manajemen bencana pada gedung merupakan hal yang perlu diperhatikan bagi pengelola gedung. Salah satu manajemen bencana kebakaran pada gedung adalah penentukan jalur penyelamatan keluar dari gedung. Guna mengurangi risiko terhadap bencana di gedung, penelitian ini mengusulkan sistem evakuasi penghuni dan pengunjung gedung terhadap bencana kebakaran. Sistem ini akan membantu penghuni gedung dalam menyelamatkan diri, dengan menghindari tempat yang berbahaya ataupun berisiko dan memilih jalur/tempat yang aman. Penentuan jalur evakuasi tergantung dari posisi letak titik-titik kebakaran dan posisi dari penghuni. Penentuan jalur evakuasi diolah oleh jejaring piranti embedded. Jejaring piranti embedded tersebut merepresentasikan peta titik/node dan jalur didalam suatu gedung. Masing-masing piranti embedded dilengkapi dengan sensor deteksi kebakaran dan layar TV/panel output. Algoritma dan protokol komunikasi untuk menentukan jalur evakuasi ditanan dalam jejaring piranti embedded tersebut. Setelah peta node dan jalur terbentuk oleh protokol komunikasi, algoritma routing penentuan jalur dijalankan. Penentuan jalur evakuasi bencana ini membutuhkan rute jalur jamak. Penelitian ini mengembangkan algoritma ruting Bellmand Ford untuk dapat menangani routing jalur jamak (multi-path route). Routing jalur jamak dimaksudkan untuk dapat mengurangi beban arus dari banyak titik.

Abstract

In Indonesia the needs toward energy has been increasing. Therefore, eco-friendly renewable energy becomes an alternative power source. In relation to the idea, within the conduct of the experimental study the researcher designed a Savonius-type waterwheel with horizontal axis and the waterwheel was tested in the river stream. Then, within the design the researcher applied one waterflow regulator with the angle variation 30?, 45? and 60?. The study was conducted on river flow with a flow velocity of ± 0.6 m / s. the result is the addition of the deflector angle affects the ability to support the load, the maximum wheel efficiency(Cp) of 0.57.

Abstract

ABSTRAKDalam pengembangan generator tiga fasa magnet permanen diperlukan pengukuran besaran-besaran untuk melihat karakteristik generator. Besaran yang biasanya diukur adalah tegangan, arus, dan daya, namun bentuk gelombang keluaran tegangan dan arus tiap fasa kurang diperhatikan apakah sinus atau tidak. Maka perlu dirancang sebuah sistem yang bisa menampilkan bentuk gelombang tegangan dan arus sekaligus. Sistem ini diimplementasikan menggunakan sensor tegangan, sensor arus, rangkaian pengondisi sinyal, Arduino Due, dan komputer sebagai penampil menggunakan bahasa Python. Hasil pengujian diperoleh bahwa sistem bisa menampilkan bentuk gelombang keluaran tegangan dan arus, menampilkan nilai maksimum, minimum, rerata, dan rms. Nilai galat rata-rata untuk ketiga pengukuran tegangan adalah 1%, dan untuk pengukuran arus adalah 3,15%.Kata kunci: gelombang tegangan dan arus, Arduino Due, Python, tiga fasa ABSTRACTThe development of three phase permanent magnet generators require the measurement of related quantities to determine the characteristics of generator. The common measured quantities are voltage, current, and power. However the voltage and current output waveforms of each phase are not considered. Therefore a system is designed which is able to display voltage and current waveforms at once. This system is implemented using a voltage sensor, current sensor, signal conditioning circuit, Arduino Due, and a computer as a GUI using the Python programming language. The results of implementation and testing show that the GUI is able to display the voltage and current output waveforms, in addition, performs the maximum, minimum, average, and rms values. The average error value for the three voltage measurements is 1%, and for the three current measurements is 3.15%.Keywords: voltage and current waveforms, Arduino Due, Python, three phases

Abstract

The habit of cleaning hands is one of the new habits during the current COVID-19 pandemic. One way to clean hands is with a hand sanitizer. The automatic hand sanitizer dispenser can be used to clean hands, without touching a button or any part of the appliance. Community service in this paper is carried out by making a number of automatic hand sanitizer dispensers, and distributing them in a number of places, around Campus III of Sanata Dharma University, Paingan, Maguwoharjo, Yogyakarta. A number of complaints emerged from the person in charge of the distribution site for the appliance. The most common complaint is that the appliance does not function as it should. This complaint is caused by a problem with the proximity sensor used. This sensor is too affected by light intensity. To overcome this, it is necessary to explore other types of sensors that are better than proximity sensors, which are less affected by light intensity.

Abstract

One way in recognizing mechanical faults of electrical machines is using the vibration signals. This paper studies the recognition of mechanical faults of electrical machines which have faulty bearing, faulty impeller, and faulty foot valve. Electrical machines studied in this paper are household water pumps. The recognition of mechanical faults is conducted using the vibration signals at the frequency domain at various frequency resolution. The recognition method used is template matching for pattern classes. Euclidean distance function is used in this template matching. Based on the results, the highest recognition rate of 100% is optimally obtained using the vibration signal at frequency resolution of 5,9 Hz, and the number of 5 samples/classes in the water pump database. The 5,9 Hz frequency resolution was obtained using a 256 point FFT, where the number of 128 FFT coefficients are used as the feature extraction.

Abstract

In a sensorless motor speed control system, the motor speed is not directly measured using a speed sensor, but it is estimated using an observer. The sensorless speed control systems are mostly applied to AC motors, while they have not been widely applied to DC motors. Therefore, this paper presents simple observers to estimate the DC motor speed. The observers used were based on the DC motor electric equation. Two methods were used in this research. The first method was the observer estimating the speed based on the resistance inductance values (L-R method), while the second was the observer estimating the motor’s speed only based on the motor’s resistance value (R method). The speed was estimated using armature current (ia) and voltage (va). Therefore, a current and voltage sensor was used. Not only was the observer estimated, but it was also implemented on a real DC motor. An Arduino microcontroller was used to calculate the speed. The LN298 was used as a DC motor drive. Even though the R method is simpler, the test result showed that its speed estimation was less precise than the L-R method. By manual calculation, the motor speed estimation result in the L-R method had an error of 0.14%, while the motor speed estimation results in the R method had an error of 5.03%. The estimation results of motor speed implemented on a real DC motor and microcontroller system in the L-R method had an error of 3.98%, while the result of the estimation of motor speed in the R method had an error of 4.87%.

Abstract

In the Mangun Karsa eco camp area, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta, a reservoir has been built to be used to collect rainwater and named the Grigak Reservoir. The water from the reservoir will be used to irrigate plantation crops grown in the area. However, due to the location of the reservoir under plantation land, a water pump was needed to lift it. Due to the absence of a PLN electricity source and previously built a solar water pump, so to lift the water from the reservoir, a similar solar water pump was built. The water pump used was a jet pump type with a total head of up to 100m. The average water discharge produced at a height of 40m was 27lpm.

Abstract

Thinking critically about problems is one of the high goals of education. From a young age, we must learn to think logically about problems and find appropriate solutions to them. As an educational institution, primary school is not only a place where students acquire teaching materials, but also where they develop critical thinking and become accustomed to adapting to the fast-paced development of the world. One of his ways of developing logical thinking, especially in his SD Negeri Sawah, is by teaching his students basic programming skills. This allows students to approach issues in a more structured way. Therefore, Sanata Dharma University Faculty of Science and Engineering, considering the problems of the campus environment, is holding training for students to be able to visually understand the basics of programming as a concern of the academic world. Practice thinking logically. Training presentations are designed like his Scratch games, making students more interested in learning to solve problems. This activity he successfully carried out in two phases. Beginner and advanced classes at Sawah Panggang Primary School will be held offline. Through this activity, some of the students were able to explore more and be more courageous while working on the assignment.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan lahan disekitar lokasi wisata embung Grigak, Panggang, Gunung Kidul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta menjadi kebutuhan masyarakat dalam rangka peningkatan ekonomi. Embung Grigak merupakan lokasi wisata yang dikelola bersama antara masyarakat Dusun Karang dengan EcoCamp Mangunkarsa. Salah satu bentuk kegiatan ekonomi yang dilakukan adalah pengadaan kebun hidroponik. Hasil dari kebun hidroponik dipergunakan untuk melayani kebutuhan tanaman sayuran bagi resto di Embung Grigak. Kebutuhan kebun hidroponik yang utama adalah sistem pengairan yang kontinyu. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan instalasi pompa air dengan memanfaatkan energi surya sebagai pembangkit listriknya. Hasil dari instalasi kebun hidroponik dan perangkat sistem pengairan dengan panel surya telah mampu diterapkan dan digunakan dengan baik. Perangkat tersebut kemudian akan dikelola oleh Karang Taruna Dusun Karang dan Relawan EcoCamp Mangunkarsa.
