Abstract

Diarrhea is defecation accompanied by liquid (diarrhea). It can even be iust liquid which is more often than usual (3 times or more in a day) can be accompanied by symptoms of dehydration, fever, nauseous vomit, weak, pale, eye sunken. This research was quantitative analytic with cross sectional design. It was done by distributing questuionnaires to 100 respondents by purposive sampling. The location of this research was conducted in the working area of Harapan Raya Public Health Center in may-june 2019 with population of children under five 6215 people. The incidence of diarrhea in children under five is  highest with 19,2% of people. The purpose of this study was to find the determinants of diarrhea in children under five in the working area of the Harapan Raya Public Health Center in 2019. The results of the study showed the relationship between exclusive breast milk, bottle hygiene, handwashing habits with soap, food storage. The results of the study concluded that exclusive breat milk, bottle hygiene, handwashing habits with soap, food storage were determinats of diarrhea event in children under five in the working area of Harapan Raya Public Health Center 2019. And it is expected to be able to prevent diarrheal diseases in children under five by implementing exclusive breastfeeding, maintain higinic feeding bottles properly, do hand washing with soap properly, and have a safe storage area to eat amimals.

Abstract

Hypertension is an increase in systolic blood pressure ≥ 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure ≥ 90 mmHg with two measurements with calm conditions. High blood pressure or hypertension is one of the most killer diseases in the world today. According to WHO (2015) around 1.13 billion people in the world have hypertension, meaning that 1 in 3 people in the world was diagnosed with hypertension. The purpose of this study was to determined the determinant of the incidence of hypertension in the elderly at Simpang Tiga Health Center, Pekanbaru City in 2020. This type of research was quantitative analytic with cross sectional research design and purposive sampling technique with 183 respondents as sample from 1617 populations. The results showed that variables related to the incidence of hypertension were excessive sodium consumption with P value = 0,000, (POR = 3,874 95% CI: 2,008-7,475), physical activity P value = 0.008 (POR = 2,323 95% CI: 1,280-4,215) , and eating patterns with a value of Pvalue = 0.024 (POR = 2.302 95% CI: 1.166-4.543). It is expected that elderly program holders will provide counseling services and counseling about excessive sodium consumption and better dietary arrangements and encouraged the elderly and families to reduce foods containing excess sodium and continue to carry out physical activities, actively participating in activities held once a week at the health center/ integrated elderly development post.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Based on data from the Office of the Environment and cleanliness of Indragiri Hilir Regency, the amount of midden per day were approximately 57.312 tons, amount of middens per week were 401.18 tons and per month were 1719.36 ton. Kayujati market resulting waste in every day about 6000 kg/day. The research purpose was to analyzed waste management Kayujati market in Tembilahan Indragiri Hilir Regency in 2018. This research was qualitative descriptive, that was conducting observation and depth interviews. Informant in this research was 6 persons. Variables was researched among other was waste sorting, collecting and storage in source location, transportation. The results showed that there was no separation between organic and inorganic waste, waste collection was carried out by the market administrator who was conducted once a day, during the day with a fee is two thousand rupiah per kiosk, garbage transportation was carried out by janitors using brooms and scopes, even by hand, and then, it is conducted three times in a day in the morning, afternoon and evening. And total 5 person per work shift. Suggestions for market administrator to require traders to own their own trash, sorting between organic and inorganic waste so that they fulfill health requirements, and sanction the traders who dispose of their trash not in place. Abstract

COVID-19 is a respiratory disorder that causes illness ranging from mild to severe symptoms caused by the Corona Virus. Riau Province was one of the areas affected by COVID-19 in Indonesia with a total of 66 positive cases as of May 7, 2020. Students are one of the groups at risk of contracting COVID-19. For student group is very important to prevent groups of students in their 20s who look healthy but can be a source of transmission to families who do not prevent COVID-19. This study was aimed to analyzed the behavioral factors of prevention of COVID-19 in STIKes Hang Tuah Pekanbaru students in 2020. This type of research was quantitative observational with a cross sectional design. The population in this study were all students of STIKes Hang Tuah Pekanbaru with a sample size of 301 people. Data were collected used a questionnaire and analyzed by univariate and bivariate used the Chi-square test. The results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge, attitudes, responses to personal protective equipment, and family support with the prevention of COVID 19 while there was no relationship between role of health workers with the prevention of COVID 19 among STIKes Hang Tuah Pekanbaru students. It is hoped that students will increase their knowledge and prevention of COVID 19.
