Most existing research concerning e-commerce in developed countries that have adopted information technology earlier than developing countries, such as Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to know the critical components of e-commerce service quality that can affect the level of customer satisfaction and loyalty in developing countries such as Indonesia using dimensions that researchers have tested in developed countries. The Smart Partial Least Square (SmartPLS 3.0) revealed a positive relationship among service quality, confirmation, satisfaction, and repurchase intention. A positive and significant correlation was also found between website design, information usefulness, privacy & security towards service quality. On the other hand, fulfillment and ease of ordering produced an insignificant relationship with service quality. Practical suggestions for promoting e-commerce in developing countries are provided.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate appropriate development strategies for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Semarang City, with a focus on Tembalang, Pedurungan, and Banyumanik Districts. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, data were collected from 120 MSME respondents through structured questionnaires and analyzed using internal analysis, external analysis, and SWOT analysis. The findings show that MSMEs in Semarang City are positioned in Quadrant I of the SWOT matrix, indicating strong internal strengths and favorable external opportunities. The recommended strategy is an aggressive Strength-Opportunity (SO) approach, emphasizing the use of internal advantages—such as product quality and strategic location—to capture market opportunities. Practically, this study suggests that MSMEs should improve product quality, enhance brand visibility, build strong supplier relationships, and develop wider distribution channels. Future growth may also be supported through digital marketing and expansion along the supply chain. These insights can assist MSME actors and policymakers in designing more targeted and sustainable development efforts.

Abstract

The Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka (PMM) program is a flagship scheme of the Merdeka Belajar–Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) initiative designed to strengthen students' national insight, tolerance, and socio-cultural adaptation. This community service project aims to describe the process and outcomes of PMM mentoring through the Shankara group at Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) in 2024. The implementation method adopted a participatory approach comprising three main stages: planning and local potential mapping, execution of 16 Modul Nusantara activities, and monitoring and evaluation based on the Kirkpatrick model. The mentoring results indicate that the Shankara group successfully integrated the full series of activities, which consisted of: 8 diversity activities, 5 reflection activities, 2 inspiration activities, and 1 social contribution activity across the Central Java and DIY regions. The diversity and inspiration activities proved effective in broadening cross-cultural perspectives and motivating participants' entrepreneurial spirit. Reflection sessions deepened the meaning derived from these experiences, while the social contribution action at Kalitalang Ecotourism in Klaten delivered a practical impact for the local community. Overall, this structured mentoring effectively facilitated the transformation of students' attitudes from an ethnocentric to an ethnorelative stage while strengthening a shared national identity.
