Abstract

Unemployment is an employment problem that is often faced in every region, especially in Jambi Province.  The indicator used to determine the number of unemployed is the open unemployment rate (TPT).  High unemployment can be a major source of poverty that can lead to crime and hinder the process of economic development.  As an initial precaution for the government before the increase in unemployment, which is to estimate the future TPT in Jambi Province.  One of the methods used in estimating TPT in Jambi Province is the Double Exponential Smoothing Method from Holt.  The measure of the forecast error uses the Mean Absolute Percent Error (MAPE).  The aim is to obtain estimated TPT results in Jambi Province in the coming year, using Holt's Double Exponential Smoothing Method.  The estimation results obtained, for TPT data there is a MAPE value of 18.96% with parameters  = 0.9 and  = 0.2.  The estimation model obtained is = .  The estimation results show that the TPT rate will continue to increase next year, it can be taken into consideration for the government in determining future plans to reduce TPT in order to accelerate economic development in Jambi Province.

Abstract

The existence of a Base Transceiver Station (BTS) and the strength of cell phone signals in an area have greatly affected the ease of communication and exchanging information between people. This is one aspect to measure technological developments in a region. This study aims to use the K-Means algorithm to classify districts or cities in Bengkulu Province based on the proportion of BTS presence, the proportion of villages with strong telephone signals, and the proportion of villages with 4G internet signals. There are three clusters based on these three variables and there are still significant differences between districts or cities in Bengkulu Province. The output of this study becomes an input for the Bengkulu provincial government to be able to pay attention to the distribution of communication infrastructures in their province.

Abstract

Investment is an activity carried out by investors by placing their funds in an asset. The purpose of investment is to gain long-term profits in the future. These profits come from changes in the price of assets in the future, which refers to the increase in the value of an asset over time. Currently, there are several types of investments. However, the type of investment that is quite widely practiced by Indonesian society is stock investment. The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) groups the stocks available in the stock market into several indexes. One index that is currently receiving attention from Indonesian society is the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). The JII is a collection of shares from companies that adhere to sharia principles in their business operations. Investment activities must be carried out carefully by conducting analysis beforehand so that investors do not make mistakes in choosing the stocks to be purchased. Several popular methods for selecting stocks are the Sharpe, Treynor, and Jensen indexes. These three indexes can be used to select the best stocks based on their respective criteria. This study combine these three indexes to prioritize the formation of a portfolio. The data used in this study is the closing value of stock prices in the JII index from March 2018 to February 2023. The optimization resulted in a composition of 69.17% for MDKA shares, 26.55% for HRUM shares, and 4.28% for BRIS shares of the total portfolio composition.

Abstract

Purpose– Aims to determine the effect of knowing hedonic motivation along with other factors, such as external and situational factors, on impulsive purchasing decisions for clothing products in cross-border e-commerce.Methodology– This research uses a quantitative approach by collecting data through random sampling questionnaires. All data collected was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling processed using SmartPLS software.Findings– The results of this research show that hedonic motivation has no influence on impulse purchasing decisions for clothing products in cross-border e-commerce. In this research, the results showed that impulsive decisions were more influenced by the appearance on the cross-border e-commerce website, sales promotions and consumer time availability.Originality/Novelty– Providing novelty value to the phenomenon of impulse buying through cross border e-commerce arises not influenced by the user's hedonic motivation but other supporting factors, especially the quality of the cross border e-commerce website itself.Implications – The results of this research can be used by cross-border e-commerce development companies and e-commerce sellers to determine the right strategy for increasing the number of sales and improving service quality
