Abstract

Employee performance is employee productivity and output as a result of employee development which will ultimately affect the effectiveness of the organization (Hameed and Waheed, 2010). The main objective of this study was to analyze the effect of employee engagement in mediation influence of transformational leadership on employee performance. The data used in this study are primary data obtained through survey method by distributing questionnaires. Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) was used to assess employee perceptions of transformational leadership characteristics. Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (Uwes) was used to assess levels of employee engagement. The Role-Based Performance Scale was used to assess the performance of employees. The questionnaire used is measured using a Likert scale. Testing a variable on other variables is done by simple linear regression test and mediation models tested by the method of hierarchical regression analysis by Baron and Kenny (1986). The results of this study indicate that the role of transformational leadership and significant positive effect on employee engagement and employee performance. The results of this study also showed that employee engagement on employee partially mediate the relationship transformational leadership.

Abstract

A systematic effort to manage all aspects of early childhood education is called early childhood student management (ESD). By developing improvement strategies so that student management is more integrated with learning, so that child development (physical, cognitive, social, emotional) can take place optimally. The purpose of this study is to present a comprehensive understanding of important aspects in ESD student management, so that it can be used as a reference in managing early childhood education and to provide a broad understanding of the definition, objectives, principles, and stages of ESD student management. Student management aims to support the development of each child, including physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development. To implement this management, basic principles such as sustainability, individuality, and inclusion are the basis. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature review as a descriptive method. Data sources used include books, journals, scientific articles, and related documents discussing the definition, objectives, principles, and stages of Early Childhood (ECD) student management. This article also discusses recommendations for improving evaluation and follow-up necessary to ensure the success of the learning process that focuses on child needs. Therefore, student management in early childhood education is crucial to creating an educational environment that best suits their development.
