Abstract

The problem of short children (stunting) is one of the nutritional problems that is still be the focus of the goverment until now. One of the reasons is the lack of nutritional consumption in children aged 24-59 months will have an impact on their growth and development. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving honey on the nutritional status of stunting toddlers in Kampar districk. The spesific target to be achieved is a change in nutritional status and changes in appetite for toddlers by giving honey regularly twice a day as much as 20 grams per day, 10 grams in the morning and grams in the afternoon. The research method used in this study is a quasi experimental research method with one group pre post test design.The results showed thet giving honey could significantly increase toddler’s appetite (p=0.048). This is because it is suspected that honey has high levels of sugar and levulose so that it is easlily absorbed by the intestines along withother organic substances so that it can function as stimulant for digestion and improve appetite.

Abstract

One of nutritional problems experienced by toddlers is stunting, which is a short or very short body condition in children due to chronic malnutrition that occurs from pregnant women to children aged 2 years. Nutrition education is a method and effort to increase knowledge of nutrition and eating behavior in order to create optimal nutritional status. Education for the “My Plate” poster is important for pregnant women to implement a healthy diet and to meet daily nutritional needs as an effort to prevent stunting. This research was conducted by interview method. From the result of this research, a poster of “My Plate-Pregnant Women” has been designed as a nutrition education media. Abstract

ABSTRACT Adolescent nutritional intake needs considered, especially those school in boarding, so that it can affect their food intake. Research objective was to determine relationship between food acceptance and level of energy and protein consumption of students. This study used a cross sectional study with quantitative approach. Population and research sample were students of VII and VIII grade Ummahatul Mukminin Islamic boarding school. Data were processed using SPSS version 25.0 for Windows. Results showed the students acceptance of food served was in moderate category, the average energy requirement students was 1754.58 kcal/day, while protein needs of 51.79 g/day, most of the energy and protein consumption levels of students were in normal category, All of the students energy and protein availability in normal category, students consumption level of energy and protein needs in weight deficit category, level availability of santriwati's energy and protein needs in deficit category. The conclusion of study is a significant relationship between food acceptance and level of energy and protein consumption students. Abstract

My plate is a guide to daily food consumption. Nutrition Education "my plate contents" is important for adolescents to adopt a healthy eating pattern. In adolescence there is a speed of growth and physical, mental, emotional and social development. Ummu Sulaim Islamic boarding school is an Islamic boarding school for young women and organizes meals on a buffet basis, this causes the portion of the meal to not be in accordance with the guidelines for balanced nutrition. The purpose of this activity is to socialize "My Plate Contents" to young women as an effort to prevent stunting. The activity will be held in January-July 2019 at Pondok Pesantren Ummu Sulaim, Pekanbaru. The implementation began with an oral socialization of my plate contents to the principal, teachers, canteen and female students, followed by the preparation of poster procurement. Community service is carried out with methods of outreach, counseling, supervision, evaluation and advocacy. The result of community service is the knowledge of students about my plate contents increases after counseling, it can be seen from the results of pre-test and post-test increased by 38 points, with the lowest value of 70 and the highest value of 100. Supervision results found that Islamic boarding school had previously served nutritious food, but the type and amount did not match my plate contents, and after the implementation of this activity the provision of female students' meals was adjusted to the nutritional needs of the students, and in its application most of the female students had implemented the contents of my plate.

Abstract

Indonesia is the world's largest producer of tempeh and the largest soybean market in Asia. As much as 50% of Indonesia's soybean consumption is in the form of tempeh. The proteins found in tempeh are relatively easy to digest. Frozen food can be a solution in extending the shelf life and durability of a product and causing food to become durable and not easily decompose. The purpose of this study is to find out the receiving power of frozen food tempeh as an alternative to toddler supplements in an effort to prevent stunting. This study was an experimental study using RAL (Complete Randomized Design) with one control and 3 treatments, 30%, 50%, and 70%. Furthermore, hedonic tests are conducted on each frozen food and proximal tests on frozen foods are most preferred to find out carbohydrate levels, protein levels, fat content, water content, and ash levels. The results showed that the most preferred treatment in terms of color, aroma, taste, and texture of frozen food meatballs was with the addition of 50% tempeh (P2), while for the nugget and ball groups, the most preferred panelists were the addition of 70% tempeh (P3). Kruskall Wallis test results showed the addition of tempeh gives a noticeable influence on the level of fondness for the color, aroma, taste, and texture of tempeh meatballs, nuggets of tempeh, and tempeh balls.
