Abstract

This research aims at finding the effect of (1) distribution channels for purchasing decisions, (2) service quality for purchasing decisions, (3) distribution channels and service quality on purchasing decisions. The research method is a quantitative approach, a type of quantitative descriptive research in which it is explanatory research. Techniques of collecting data are by having interview, questionnaire and documentation study. Data analysis method is multiple linear regressions by testing the classical assumptions of normality, multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity. The population of this research is 232 customers, samples were taken by simple random sampling, as many as 147 customers and 30 customers were tested both validity and reliability. Research findings show that simultaneous distribution channels and service quality (Test F) have a positive effect on purchasing decisions with a value of 18,568. Partially (Test t) distribution channels have a positive and significant effect with a value of 2.802 and service quality has a positive and significant effect with a value of 2.963 on purchasing decisions. The test results of the coefficient of determination (R Square) obtained Adjusted R Square of 0.194 means that the distribution channels and service quality affect the purchasing decisions with a percentage level of 19.4% while the remaining 80.6% are other factors that were not examined by researcher.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of price, location, store atmosphere and promotion on buying interest at Maju Bersama Medan Mall. This type of research is explanatory research. The entire population is 26,645 consumers who have made purchases during the 2019 period. Due to the large number of population, the sampling technique will be reduced by using the Slovin formula with an error tolerance level of 10% so that there are as many as 100 respondents in the study which will be distributed with questionnaires measured by a Likert scale. The data analysis used multiple linear regression analysis and the coefficient of determination as well as simultaneous test and partial test. The results showed that price, location, store atmosphere and sales promotion partially or simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on consumer buying interest at Maju Bersama Medan Mall. Based on the results of this study, the implications for management are to further improve pricing for each product, determine a better location, update the store atmosphere to make it look attractive and provide even more attractive promotions.

Abstract

Investment is an activity that is invested or financed with the hope of profit or return in the future. One form of investment is to use gold. Many people are interested in investing in gold. Apart from being quite affordable, investing in gold is also very easy to do and flexible. Gold is included in the low risk investment class because its price movements tend to follow the rate of inflation. This study uses the Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) method to predict the movement of gold prices which will visualize the data in the form of a Line Chart. This study aims to provide decision support material regarding the movement of buying and selling prices of gold through the presentation of data aimed at people who invest in gold. However, real gold price movements cannot be separated from external factors such as the exchange rate of the rupiah against foreign currencies, import export policies and other government policies. There are many influencing factors such as opening price, closing price, adjust close, volume, highs, lows recorded over a certain period of time. Another factor is the Daily Return which can be positive (Grown In Value) and negative (Lost In Value).
