Abstract

Hydroponics is an alternative way of farming in a limited area of urban.  It is Easy, controlled, and can be done on media without soil, even in a house.  In hydroponic watering system done  automatic and the environment can be controlled to prevent the plant from pests, it is suitable for people who spent more routine work in the office than at home. However, hydroponics nutrients is very difficult to obtain, even in Lampung no body has sold. Aquaponics is another alternative that could be used to grow crops in a limited area and the nutrients are easier to find because it uses fish waste. This study was conducted to evaluate whether the fish waste could replace hydroponic nutrients to support the growth of mustard plants.This research compared yield of mustard plants grown in three treatments, namely L1 (hydroponics), L2 (Aquaponics using comet fish), and L3 (Aquaponics using tilapia).  The study was conducted at the residence of Amin Khairi, St. Said Sabri, No. 58B, Kedaton, Bandar Lampung and Laboratory of Agricultural Engineering Department, University of Lampung.  The variables tested were plant height, leaf number, root length, and the total weight of harvest. The research showed that the growth of mustard plants at hydroponic was better than at aquaponics systems.  The average plant height at week four were 24,6 cm; 9,1 cm; 14,0 cm of L1, L2, and L3, respectively.  The average number of leaves at week four were 10,2; 7,2; 7,7 of L1, L2, and L3, respectively.  The average root lenght at week four were 27,3 cm; 10,6 cm; 15,0 cm of L1, L2, and L3, respectively. The total weight of mustard plants of L1, L2, and L3 were 77,08; 9,7; 28,6 grams; respectively.Keywords: hydroponics, Aquaponics, nutrients, mustard

Abstract

Renewable energy is energy that comes from natural elements and its availability will not run out because it is formed from sustainable natural processes. Renewable energy is an alternative energy to replace fossil energy because it is environmentally friendly and does not produce carbon emissions. Renewable energy sources come from sunlight, wind, water flow, geothermal, etc. One of the renewable energy potentials in Indonesia is wind energy with a total potential of 60.6 GW. Utilization of wind energy can be done by using wind turbines and windbelts to convert wind energy into electrical energy. Windbelt is a device consisting of a permanent magnet, coil and tape to produce electrical energy. When the oscillating band is blown by the wind, the magnet produces a change in magnetic flux, then the magnetic flux captured by the coil produces induced emf at both ends of the coil. In order for the power generated by the windbelt to remain at its maximum point even though the wind speed fluctuates, a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) system is needed. Therefore, in this study, an MPPT system was designed using the Perturb & Observe (P&O) algorithm by controlling the length and tension of the band based on the windbelt output voltage. The optimal voltage generated by the windbelt is 8.93 Volts without using the MPPT system, while when using the MPPT system the optimal voltage is 5.05 Volts. In testing the MPPT system using a load (condition 2), the output voltage has decreased drastically because the current generated by the windbelt is so small that it cannot pass through the load.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of job training on employee performance at Class IIB Solok Penitentiary. While the research sample was determined using the saturated sample method by including all research samples in a population, for this research the sample was taken from all employees of Class IIB Solok Correctional Institution as many as 83 people. The types of data used include instrument testing, simple regression analysis, coefficient of determination and hypothesis testing. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant effect of job training on employee performance in all employees of Class IIB Solok Penitentiary. This is evidenced by using the t test with a tcount of 2.153 > ttable 1.664 with a significant value of 0.034 <0.05. It can be concluded that job training has an effect on employee performance in class IIB correctional institutions in Solok City or the hypothesis is accepted. This means that the job training provided is very influential for the performance of employees in class IIB correctional institutions in Solok City.

Abstract

Gizi kurang merupakan keadaan dimana anak mengalami kekurangan nutrisi dengan kondisi status gizi dibawah rata-rata. Status gizi anak dapat dipengaruhi oleh perilaku makan anak yang bergantung terhadap bentuk pola asuh keluarga terutama ibu. Picky eater merupakan salah satu bentuk dari perilaku anak dalam memilih makanan atau hanya suka pada jenis makanan tertentu. Pola asuh yang dimiliki seorang ibu, adalah bentuk tindakan atau perilaku yang dipengaruhi oleh adanya pengetahuan gizi ibu. Pengbadian ini bertujuan untuk mencegah perilaku picky eater dalam penanggulangan gizi kurang balita 1-3 tahun di desa Sibedi Kecamatan Marawola Kab. Sigi. Tahapan Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah metode ceramah yang digunakan untuk menjelaskan materi tentang Picky eater, pola asuh serta Gizi Seimbang pada Ibu Balita dan juga dilakukan pre test dan post test untuk menunjukan peningkatan pengetahuan gizi. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat yaitu ibu balita yang menjadi peserta mendapatkan informasi terbaru tentang masalah picky eater dan solusi mengatasinya. Luaran ditargetkan artikel yang telah terpublikasi nasional.
