Abstract

XYZ Department at PT X didn’t achieve the yield target, which is one of the Key Performance Indicators, had been determined by Factory in 2012. Some improvements have been developed to increase yield in order to achieve the target. One of the improvements is to verify material transaction between two departments. Another improvement is to reduce the waste, from both Direct Incoming Material (DIM) and non DIM. DIM discussed in this research and contributing the top three waste materials in 2012, were filter rod, cigarette paper, and tipping paper. Non DIM waste that also gave contribution for increasing yield was tobacco. Yield has already increased by doing some of those improvements by 0.45% for AAA product, from 94.85% to 95.3%. Although the target of this year (95.4%) has not been achieved yet, these research’s results show yield increasing trend. In order to keep the consistency of the yield achievement, this Department made bulletin forms as standardization attached on the relevant machines. This bulletin form can be a standard operating procedure for those who operate that machine every day, so that the yield achievement can be stable and increase.

Abstract

Penelitian ini ingin menunjukkan penerapan metode Capability Process (Cpk) dan metode DMAIC untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk dari proses produksi perusahaan rigid packaging. Distribusi produk dilakukan dalam skala nasional dan memiliki reputasi produk yang dibuat dengan baik. Sebelum, pendistribusian produk akan diinspeksi oleh Departemen Quality Assurance. Produk dengan spesifikasi sesuai standar akan distribusikan kepada customer. Define, langkah pertama yang dilakukan menentukan permasalahan yang akan ditinjau. Permasalahan yang akan ditinjau adalan nilai Cpk dari proses produksi. Measure, langkah kedua dalam penelitian ini dengan melakukan pengukuran dimensi produk menggunakan caliper, kemudian akan dihitung untuk mendapatkan nilai Cpk. Analyze, langkah ketiga yang dilakukan dengan mendeskripsikan hasil nilai Cpk, nilai Cpk < 1 menunjukkan perbaikan perlu dilakukan. Perbaikan akan dilakukan menggunakan bantuan fishbone diagram. Improve, langkah terakhir dalam penelitian ini dengan memberikan usulan perbaikan. Usulan perbaikan adalah perbaikan cetakan, revisi spesifikasi, dan perbaikan proses.

Abstract

UD.XYZ is a company that produce accessories for car. UD. XYZ have a factory that produce car accessories with small size like a safety belt accessories, car pillow, and tissue case. This research will be focus to analyze postural stress risk for worker that produce car accessories. This research is based on the complaints of workers who feel that some parts of their body sick and stiff because the work is a job that has a repetitive movement with almost the same position every time. The posture of the worker will be observed to determine whether the posture has a dangerous risk or not. The method used is the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment that will assess the workers posture from the waist to the head. Research indicates that the workers posture score is between 3 to 5 where the score is assessed to suggest that further investigation of posture is necessary. Giving a small desk to the worker and also socializing about good posture while working helps to improve the score from worker posture to 2 to 3 which means that posture can be used and minimize postural stress on the workers.

Abstract

Studi ini membahas tentang pembuatan sistem dan standar untuk mengontrol sistem gudang  agar memudahkan pencarian material dan pengontrolan gudang. Gudang material penuh dan susahnya pencarian material dikarenakan tidak adanya prosedur yang mengatur bagaimana seharusnya gudang tersebut beroperasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengamatan langsung di lapangan serta tanya jawab terhadap pihak-pihak yang berhubungan dengan gudang material. Hasil dari pengamatan kemudian disusun menjadi sistem manajemen baru dalam bentuk Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), aturan-aturan, serta tata letak material baru. Berdasarkan SOP yang ada kemudian dibuatlah kartu stok dan table material induk sebagai alat controling pada gudang. Controling dilakukan dengan tujuan agar gudang berjalan sesuai SOP yang ada dan tidak kembali pada permasalahan yang lama. AbstractThis study has been done to create a system and standard to control the warehouse system for ease finding tools and control the warehouse. The warehouse is full and finding tools is hard because there is no regulation to control how the warehouse should be running. This project uses direct observation in the field and Q&A against the department which have relation with supporting tools warehouse. The results of the observations then organized into a new management system in form of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), rules, and new layout for tools. Based on existing SOP, stock card and parent material table is made as for controlling tool for the warehouse. Controlling is done with the aim that the warehouse goes according to SOP and did not return to the old problems.

Abstract

Abstrak PT. XYZ adalah perusahaan asing asal Jerman yang memproduksi circuit breaker (sebagai pelindung peralatan listrik). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jumlah tenaga bagian kebersihan (cleaning service) yang optimal sebab melalui pengamatan dari beberapa manajer, petugas cleaning service seringkali menganggur. Jumlah tenaga cleaning service saat ini adalah 9 orang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Full Time Equivalent (FTE). Metode FTE dilakukan dengan menghitung total waktu beban kerja pada seluruh lokasi di PT. XYZ dan jumlah jam kerja efektif. Total waktu beban kerja petugas cleaning service adalah 464.746,5 menit dan total jam kerja efektif selama setahun setelah diberikan allowance adalah 93.585 menit. Total nilai FTE tenaga cleaning service adalah 4,97 yang berarti jumlah tenaga yang dibutuhkan adalah 5 orang.    AbstractPT. XYZ is a foreign company based in German that manufactures circuit breaker (to protect an electrical devices). This research aims to find an optimum number of needed cleaning service’s employees as the information from the manager at PT. XYZ said that the current cleaning service’s employees are frequently idle. The current cleaning service’s total employees are 9. The method used in this research was Full Time Equivalent (FTE). FTE was applied by counting the total time workload at the entire location of PT. XYZ and the total effective working hours. Total time workload of the cleaning service’s employees are 464,746.5 minutes and the total effective working hours a year after adjusted with the allowance is 93,585 minutes. Total FTE value for cleaning service’s employee is 4.97 which means only 5 employees needed.   Keywords: Workload; Employee; Full Time Equivalent

Abstract

This research was conducted to find the cause of defect and the cause of incoming raw materials defect from suppliers into the company. The research is focused on three largest local supplier of PT. X, which are Supplier A, Supplier B, and Supplier C. The cause of incoming raw material defects are identified during define, measure, and analyze phase in DMAIC. The causes that have been found are the carelessness of the operator, lack of understanding of the product, unsuitable material, technical fault during injection, lack of control from the company, and the mold lifetime’s that has exceeded the warranty. Improvements that have been done are provide training for suppliers in the form of visual management training and part education, control of the test plan, and the replacement of molding. The performance of each supplier was controlled by creating a supplier quality performance. The results of supplier quality performance will be used for taking action against the supplier.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada peningkatan sistem pengambilan sampel dan tinjauan kinerja Quality Control (QC) di PT. X. Data yang diperlukan untuk penelitian ini adalah data berat standar komponen, berat standar per lot komponen, dan data waktu pengamatan yang dimiliki oleh operator QC. Data ini akan diproses untuk mengetahui jumlah sampel sesuai dengan standar militer dan jumlah kekurangan tenaga kerja atau waktu yang dibutuhkan. Jumlah sampel yang sesuai dengan standar militer adalah 315 - 500 lembar / lot dan waktu minus adalah 4 jam. Saran yang bisa diberikan adalah menambah tenaga kerja ke QC atau dengan mengubah deskripsi pekerjaan dari operator divisi lainnya.

Abstract

Shuttle car merupakan salah satu pelayanan yang diberikan Universitas Kristen Petra kepada mahasiswanya untuk menjangkau tempat parkir yang jauh. Pelayanan shuttle car masih dirasa kurang memuaskan oleh sebagian mahasiswa. Service quality merupakan metode pengukuran yang digunakan untuk mengukur kualitas layanan pada shuttle car. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan cara membuat pertanyaan yang sesuai dengan dimensi-dimensi yang terdapat pada service quality. Secara keseluruhan, rata-rata tingkat kepuasan dari layanan shuttle car masih berada cukup jauh di bawah harapan dari pengguna layanan tersebut.
