Abstract

Mappanretasi (sea party) is a traditional form of communication that is only possessed by the Bugis community Pagatan Tanah Bumbu. Most people assume that Mappanretasi traditional ceremony is a ritual to worship the sea resulting in a shift in the meaning that should the ceremony to give thanks to God Almighty for overflow of grace and god giving has produced abundant marine, Mappanretasi time used as a means of establishing a relationship of friendship between uniting people of diverse ethnic groups with one another in a social environment, interpreted into a ritual to worship the sea. Mappanretasi implementation is still much that is not understood by many parties, giving rise to negative perceptions that essentially moral message contained in the ceremony. The research approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. This type of research is the method of Ethnography James P. Spradley and semiotics of Roland Barthes. The techniques of data collection in this study are in-depth interviews, nonparticipant observation, and study documentation. The results of the analysis and discussion of the study, the traditional ceremonies Mappanretasi has a moral message, the human must be say thanks to God Almighty for grace abundance, sustenance, and health have been given. As well as respect for the human form of local knowledge to the position of human nature which is not as exploiters of nature, but has a moral responsibility and to maintain the balance of nature itself. Keywords : Moral, Mappanretasi, Traditional communication ABSTRAK Mappanretasi (pesta laut) adalah komunikasi tradisional yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat suku Bugis di desa Pagatan, Tanah Bumbu. Banyak orang berasumsi bahwa perayaan tradisional Mappanretasi adalah ritual untuk ibadah atas hasil laut, dalam pergeseran makna perayaan itu berarti berterima kasih kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Kuasa untuk bersyukur dan berterima kasih atas produksi hasil laut yang melimpah, waktu Mappanretasi digunakan sebagai makna untuk membangun relasi pertemanan antara berbagai masyarakat yang terdiri dari banyak etnis dengan yang lainnya dalam lingkungan sosial, ini ditafsirkan dalam ritual ibadah laut. Penerapan Mappanretasi masih banyak yang tidak dimengerti oleh banyak orang, memberikan sebuah persepsi negatif atas pesan esensial yang terkandung dalam perayaan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kualitatif. Tipe penelitian ini menggunakan metode etnografi dari James P. Spardley dan semiotik oleh Roland Barthes. Teknik Pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi non-partisipan, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil studi analis dan diskusi bahwa perayaan Mappanretasi adalah sebuah pesan moral, setiap orang harus berterima kasih kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa atas karunia, kelimpahan rezeki, dan kesehatan yang diberikan. Sebaiknya setiap orang harus menghormati bentuk dari pengetahuan lokal dan posisi sifat manusia yang tidak mengekspoitasi alam, tetapi memiliki moral tanggung jawab dan untuk keseimbangan alam itu sendiri. Kata Kunci : Moral, Mappanretasi, Komunikasi tradisional.

Abstract

South Kalimantan as an area that is blessed with a lot of river flows, this many river flows can be a blessing and can also be a disaster. As happened in January 2021, many districts in South Kalimantan were affected by floods. However, the people of South Kalimantan were able to deal with it and also minimal casualties, both in the form of property and life losses. The purpose of this study was to see the pattern of adaptation of the community in Tempakang Village and Halong Village in dealing with Floods. The results showed that the communication adaptation pattern of the riverbank community, in this case the village of Tampakang and the village of Halong, can be seen from the pattern of houses, namely houses on stilts. The adaptation process of the community in dealing with the flood disaster is closely related to the ability to predict the arrival of the rainy season which has an impact on flooding. Furthermore, the equipment and household furniture they have are generally made of light material so they are easy to move. In the village community of Tampakang, specifically accompanied by the ability to use boats and the ability to swim since childhood.

Abstract

Ecotourism is one of the main streams in Indonesia's tourism program. One area that has great ecotourism potential is South Kalimantan Province, especially in Paau Village, Aranio District, Banjar Regency. One of the problems found is the low quality of local Pokdarwis as tourism stakeholders, especially in the use of online media for ecotourism promotion. For this reason, the community service program this time is directed at strengthening the ability to master Pokdarwis online information media by conducting documentation training, storytelling, and branding the ecotourism potential of Paau Village. The approach used in this partnership program is an approach based on partner needs and program assistance activities by first identifying problems and then proceeding with developing problem-solving strategies.

Abstract

Tujuan utama Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan peningkatan literasi digital kepada Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) Panyuluhan Indah di Desa Paau Kecamatan Aranio Kabupaten Banjar Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan. Hal ini dimaksugkan agar mereka mampu memaksimalkan potensi dari penggunaan internet untuk memajukan ekowisata di Desa Paau. PkM ini dilakukan dengan beberapa tahapan mulai dari identifikasi permasalahan, Verifikasi ke Desa Paau, Formulasi rencana PkM, dan Implementasi program PkM yang meliputi: Peningkatan pemahaman literasi digital, Pelatihan pembuatan konten digital, Pelatihan networking dan collaborating, dan Pelatihan pengelolaan platform digital. PkM dilakukan di Desa Paau pada Bulan Juli 2022 dengan 15 orang peserta. Secara umum seluruh program PkM berjalan dengan baik sebagaimana yang ditunjukkan oleh hasil evaluasi kegiatan dimana semua peserta menilai bahwa program dan materi yang disampaikan sudah tepat sasaran dan bermanfaat bagi upaya peningkatan literasi digital bagi Pokdarwis Panyuluhan Indah dalam rangka memajukan ekowisata di Desa Paau. The main purpose of this PkM is to provide training to improve digital literacy to the Panyuluhan Indah Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) in Paau Village, Aranio District, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan Province. This PkM is carried out in several stages starting from problem identification, direct verification to Paau Village and Pokdarwis Panyuluhan Indah, PkM plan formulation, and PkM program implementation which includes: Increasing understanding of digital literacy, training on digital content creation, networking and collaborating training, and management training. PkM was conducted in Paau Village in July 2022 with 15 participants. In general, all PkM programs went well as shown by the evaluation results where all participants considered that the programs and materials presented were appropriate and useful for efforts to increase digital literacy for Pokdarwis Panyuluhan Indah in order to promote ecotourism in Pa Village.

Abstract

Tujuan utama PkM ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan community tourism readiness (CTR), sebuah konsep yang menekankan pada kesiapan pengelolaan parisiata yang berkelanjutan. Salah satu destinasi pariwisata di Kabupaten Balangan terletak di Desa Balida Kecamatan Paringin. Di sana terdapat satu ekowisata yang dinamakan Racah Mampulang. Pengelolaan ekowisata Racah Mampulang sudah berjalan selama beberapa tahun terakhir dan sudah dilengkapi dengan fasilitas yang cukup lengkap. Permasalahannya adalah, pengelolaan Racah Mampulang bergantung sekali dengan program CSR PT. Adaro, sebuah perusahaan tambang yang beroperasi di Kabupaten Balangan. Dengan demikian ekowisata Racah Mampulang memiliki risiko untuk diabaikan ketika nanti CSR PT. Adaro dihentikan atau bahkan dicabut. Oleh sebab itu, PkM ini ditujukan untuk membekali pengelola ekowisata, dalam hal ini Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) mengenai pengelolaan ekowisata yang berkelanjutan dengan konsep CTR. PkM ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan berbasis kebutuhan mitra serta dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan mulai dari identifikasi permasalahan, Verifikasi ke Desa Balida, Formulasi rencana PkM, dan Implementasi program PkM yang meliputi: Peningkatan pemahaman CTR, Pelatihan dan pendampingan pembuatan program kerja, dan Benchmarking desa wisata melalui Big Data. Secara umum seluruh program PkM berjalan dengan baik sebagaimana yang ditunjukkan oleh hasil evaluasi kegiatan dimana semua peserta menilai bahwa program dan materi yang disampaikan sudah tepat sasaran dan bermanfaat bagi upaya peningkatan pemahaman Community Tourism Readiness bagi Pokdarwis Racah Mampulang dalam rangka memajukan ekowisata di Desa Balida.The main objective of this PkM is to provide community tourism readiness (CTR) training, a concept that emphasizes readiness for sustainable tourist management. One of the tourism destinations in Balangan Regency is located in Balida Village, Paringin District. There is an ecotourism there called Racah Mampulang. The management of Racah Mampulang ecotourism has been running for the last few years and is equipped with quite complete facilities. The problem is, the management of Racah Mampulang is very dependent on CSR programs of PT.Adaro, a mining company operating in Balangan Regency. Thus, Racah Mampulang ecotourism has the risk of being ignored when PT. Adaro’ CSR was stopped or even revoked. Therefore, this PkM is intended to equip ecotourism managers, in this case the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis), regarding sustainable ecotourism management with the CTR concept. This PkM is carried out using a partner needs-based approach and is implemented through several stages starting from problem identification, verification to Balida Village, Formulation of a PkM plan, and Implementation of the PkM program which includes: Increasing understanding of CTR, Training and assistance in creating work programs, and Benchmarking tourist villages through Big data. In general, the entire PkM program ran well as shown by the results of the activity evaluation where all participants assessed that the program and material presented were right on target and useful for efforts to increase understanding of Community Tourism Readiness for the Racah Mampulang Pokdarwis in order to advance ecotourism in Balida Village.
