Abstract

The existence of a government website is an initial milestone in the implementation of e-government as an official channel for the dissemination of information related to public services. However, there are still some OPDs that do not have an official website, such as the Samarinda City DPMPTSP which does not yet have a special website related to “Public Service Malls”. This is suspected to be due to the lack of competent human resources in managing the government's official website. Based on this, community service this time is intended to provide assistance to the Samarinda City DPMPTSP in terms of making the official website "Public Service Mall" as a form of efforts to strengthen e-government within the Samarinda City Government. This PkM activity is carried out using thematic assistance and training methods

Abstract

Ecotourism is one of the main streams in Indonesia's tourism program. One area that has great ecotourism potential is South Kalimantan Province, especially in Paau Village, Aranio District, Banjar Regency. One of the problems found is the low quality of local Pokdarwis as tourism stakeholders, especially in the use of online media for ecotourism promotion. For this reason, the community service program this time is directed at strengthening the ability to master Pokdarwis online information media by conducting documentation training, storytelling, and branding the ecotourism potential of Paau Village. The approach used in this partnership program is an approach based on partner needs and program assistance activities by first identifying problems and then proceeding with developing problem-solving strategies.

Abstract

This article aim to describe and analyze President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’ policy in clearing up Indonesia’ national image as a country prone to terrorism. Such negative image is considered as a stumbling block to national development agenda especially in tourism. Therefore, Indonesia under the presidency of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono were actively tried to turn the negative image in international society by doing series of diplomacies both in billateral form with United States, Australia, and Rusia, and multilateral as well as in international forums, regional and international organization such as ASEAN and the United Nations.Keyword : Regional Policy, ASEAN, Security

Abstract

Globalization as a phenomenon that has been closely associated with 21st century is an interesting topic of discussion among academics and practitioners alike. The term is closely related with neo-liberalism paradigm in which it refers to an economic integration governed by the priciples of liberalization and openness. Even so, globalization did not occurr without resistance. Inequality resulted from the process of globalization has made some people struggle to resist it especially in the terms of economy. This article aimed to describe how globalization reshapes the world order and how it resulted to the anti-globalization movement that struggle to resist the inequality from the process of globalization.

Abstract

This article aims to evaluate the accessibility of a government website, covid19.kaltimprov.go.id which created for disseminating the official information regarding the spread of covid-19 in East Kalimantan. Accessibility is an important aspect of a website because it indicates how far the range of information dissemination of such website. In this article we use SortSite 5.3.5, an online website testing software. The result shows that accessibility of covid19.kaltimprov.go.id still score below average with so many pages with accessibility issues. It is therefore need attention from East Kalimantan government to improve the accessibility level of their website.Keywords: Accessibility, Website, Covid-19, East Kalimantan

This research aims to describe Indonesian border management in North Kalimantan Province, this include the previous border policies when the area was still included in East Kalimantan Province. Descriptions of previous policies to contemporary policies is meant to provide some kind of guidelines for stakeholders to formulate a better policy in the future. That means, among some descriptions there will be some analitical views regarding the policies.

Abstract

This research discloses and describes how cross-border trade and its implications for improving people's welfare in Malinau district of East Kalimantan, especially in border villages. The factors behind the cross-border trade are: topographical and geographical factors, accessibility factors, cost and price factors, and cultural background and emotional relations. The pattern of trade that developed in recent years is no longer in the pattern of direct barter alone but has developed into direct trading patterns. The results show that the results of the development process still tend to be urban bias and less to reach areas that are far from the "center of power". The results also reinforce the viewpoint that development is a "chain of imbalances" which means it will create a dependent pattern among the "minus" groups of the "surplus" group.Keywords: trade, border, Malinau, basic needs.

Abstract

The use of the website as a means to bring public services closer to the community is indeed a must for the government in the digital era. The website plays an important role as a medium for the government to disseminate public information. Therefore, government websites that are built and funded through public funds must be able to reach all levels of society and have good performance. Based on that, this Community Service Program seeks to make a small contribution to the Samarinda City Government, especially the Samarinda City DPMPTSP related to training and assistance in evaluating the Public Service Mall website using SortSite 5.3.5. The implementation of the Community Service Program starts from the stages of problem identification, verification, provision of materials, implementation of training and mentoring and evaluation of activities. Based on the observation, it can be said that the training and mentoring program has successfully increase the skill and knowledge of DPMPTSP website operator. Abstract

South Kalimantan as a province prone to hydrometeorological disasters requires patterned settlement efforts. This solution requires systematic and patterned steps through the application of regulations and a culture of disaster awareness through socialization carried out by the government of Banjar Regency, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, and Tabalong Regency. The rise of social media used by the community can be a strategic choice in optimizing the dissemination of disaster information, especially floods. The method used in this study is interpretive qualitative, with a media ecology approach. The media ecology approach assumes that you can see people's behavior in capturing disaster information through social media. The theory used is New Media, and Phenomenology.

Abstract

This research was conducted to maintain the existence of MSME players amid the development of digitalization and the Covid-19 pandemic by implementing public sector innovation in empowering MSMEs. The aim is to describe and analyze the innovation of implementing a practical Bebaya application by the Samarinda City Communication and Informatics Office and identify the factors that hinder this innovation. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the innovation of the Bebaya application was to the characteristics of innovation. However, there were inhibiting factors such as lack of coordination and communication in innovation development, lack of knowledge and community participation, inaccurate socialization and promotion, decreased transactions due to uneven distribution of innovative products, and not covering all levels of society. This research implies the need for increased coordination and communication, increased community knowledge and participation, more appropriate socialization and promotion, and consistent distribution of innovative products to support MSME empowerment. By overcoming these inhibiting factors, the innovation of the Bebaya application can be more effective in maintaining the existence of MSME players in the era of digitalization and the Covid-19 pandemic.
