Abstract

This study aims to determine the response of corn plants to the growth of corn plants by giving lime to various growing media. The experiment was carried out in Kampung Jambak Kel. Batipuh Panjang from March to May 2021. This study used factorial RAL, the first factor was marginal soil consisting of 4 levels, namely peat soil, ultisol soil, sandy soil and saline soil and the second factor was giving lime consisting of 2 levels, namely without lime and lime with 4 replicates. Based on the results of the study, lime application on peat soil showed optimal vegetative growth. Giving lime to the growing media showed a significant effect on the growth of soil pH, plant height, number of leaves and leaf color of corn plants.

Abstract

The trouble confronted to satisfy the wishes of Casuarina equisetifolia seeds is the low germination of Casuarina equisetifolia seeds resulting from dormancy. One of the natural approaches that may be used to increase the velocity of water getting into the seeds, especially seeds with a totally hard outer shell structure is soaking the seeds in cold water that's notion to interrupt the lignin bonds within the seed coat. The reason for this look at changed into to choose the ideal remedy as to a method of breaking Casuarina equisetifolia seed dormancy to improve seed viability and vigor. Abstract

Produksi kacang tanah  di Indonesia belum mampu memenuhi kebutuhan nasional, rendahnya produksi kacang tanah di sebabkan kurang optimalnya budidaya terutama pemupukan yang tidak berimbang. Salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan produksi tanaman kacang tanah adalah aplikasi pupuk organik MOL. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan MOL yang tepat terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi kacang tanah. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan perlakuan 5 jenis MOL yaitu Kontrol, MOL Kulit Pisang, MOL Kol, MOL Bayam dan MOL Tomat dengan konsentrasi masing-masing 300 ml/L. Data hasil pengamatan aplikasi MOL Kulit Pisang dengan konsentrasi 300 ml/l mampu meningkatkan produksi kacang tanah menjadi 4,25 ton/ha.

Abstract

The experiment aimed to determine the response of sweet corn varieties of paragon and talent to the urine of goats fermented rhizomes on ultisol. The experiment was conducted with ultisol-type soil from April to August 2022 at BPP Koto Balingka, Nagari Parit, Koto Balingka District, West Pasaman Regency. The experiment was conducted with a two-factor Complete Randomized Design (RAL). The first factor is four kinds of fermented goat urine: Goat urine, Fermented goat urine ginger, Fermented goat urine turmeric, and Fermented goat urine galangal, each 100 ml L-1. The second factor of the two varieties of sweet corn is 1) Paragon and 2) Talenta. The combination of the two factors was repeated four times so that there were 32 experimental units. The experimental results showed that (1) Fertilization of POC of fermented goat urine of Zingiberacea rhizomes increased plant height and ILD, (2) Fertilization of POC of fermented goat urine of Zingiberacea rhizomes accelerated flowering, increased the weight of cobs without lids, a diameter of cobs without loots, and weights of 1000 seeds, (3) The ability of the Talenta variety to respond to POC of goat urine fermented galangal was higher than the Paragon variety, namely by showing higher production of 20,02 t ha-1 compared to the production of the Paragon variety with a production of 17,04 t ha-1.
