Abstract

Self-medication is one way people treat a symptom of a disease without using a doctor's prescription. Knowledge of correct self-medication is needed to cure coughs without other adverse effects on the sufferer. This study aimed to determine the effect of education through online media on the level of knowledge about cough self-medication for children in Wonosari District, Klaten Regency, Central Java in 2020. This research is a quantitative study with a Quasi-Experimental research method with the technique of Two Group Pre-Test-Post-Test Control Group Design. The population in this study were parents who had children in Wonosari District, Klaten Regency. The sample in this study amounted to 268 people. The data collection tool uses a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed that the level of public knowledge when the pre-test was carried out was classified as good (41.04%), moderate (54.48%), poor (4.48%), not good (0%). The provision of education was able to increase the respondent's knowledge as indicated by the results of post-test knowledge, which were classified as good (89.55%), moderate (10.45%), not good (0%), poor (0%). The Wilcoxon test analysis obtained a p-value of 0.000 000 <α value of 0.05, which means that education through online media affects public knowledge about cough self-medication in children.

Abstract

The This study uses a descriptive statistical approach to analyze the level of student satisfaction with campus facilities at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra. Data were obtained through an online questionnaire using a simple random sampling method with 36 respondents. The questionnaire covered four categories of facilities: general, technology and accessibility, academic support, and campus and infrastructure. The analysis involved calculating percentage, probability, mathematical expectation, variance, and standard deviation. The results showed that library comfort had the highest satisfaction score (expected = 4.06), while the Wi-Fi connection had the lowest score (expected = 3.06, deviation = 1.39), indicating dissatisfaction and an uneven perception. Other aspects, such as academic guidance by lecturers (expectation = 3.86), toilet facilities (expectation = 3.83), and laboratories (expectation = 3.72), showed good satisfaction levels. These findings provide a strong basis for the campus to improve low-scoring areas and maintain areas that meet student expectations.

Abstract

This study investigates the effects of institutional ownership (IO) and foreign ownership (FO) on the performance of non-financial firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2021 to 2025. Grounded in agency theory and the resource-based view, the study employs fixed-effects multiple regression with year and industry controls across the full sample (n = 3,621) and phase-partitioned subsamples representing the COVID-19 and post-pandemic periods. Additional threshold analyses are conducted to detect nonlinear ownership effects. The results reveal that institutional ownership exerts a negative effect on ROA, consistent with the entrenchment effect and the principal-principal conflict prevalent in Indonesia’s concentrated ownership environment. Conversely, foreign ownership demonstrates a positive and significant performance effect, supporting the hypotheses of governance and resource transfer. Both effects are concentrated in the post-pandemic period and are insignificant during the pandemic phase. Threshold analyses further establish that these relationships are nonlinear: the negative institutional ownership effect manifests at low-to-moderate concentration levels (10%–40%) and reverses to positive only beyond the 90% threshold, whereas the positive foreign ownership effect emerges only after crossing a critical mass of approximately 60%–70%. These findings contribute to the literature by demonstrating that the performance implications of block ownership are contingent on investor origin and ownership scale, with important implications for minority investor protection policy in emerging markets.
