Abstract

Mortality due to cardiac arrest are still can’t be managed. High quality cardio pulmonary resuscitation actually can save the victim if it’s done poperly, the knowledge about the high quality CPR should be owned by nursing students. Analysing the nursing student knowledge of high quality CPR retention after being exposed to Self Directed Video (SDV). Quasy experimental design, one group pre-post test was conducted on 32 samples. The nursing student knowledge about high quality CPR is assessed before SDV, same day after watching SDV, and 15th days after watching SDV. Before being exposed to SDV the knowledge is sufficient, then for same day and 15th days after watching SDV is good, (1st = 89.8750, 15th = 89.1250). By using paired t-test, p value is 0.012 <α (0.05), there is a significant effect of SDV on high quality CPR knowledge retention. When the steps of high quality CPR is packaged uniquely, absolutely it can increase the retention of that information.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat terkait dengan pemberdayaan kader hear (Hypertension Awerness) merupakan sebuah metode pola pembinaan edukasi pemberdayaan kader melalui kegiatan pendidikan kesehatan dan pendampingan kader secara langsung yang bertujuan untuk melatih kemampuan kader Kesehatan dalam mengenal masalah dan penatalaksanaan hipertensi. Metode ini digunakan agar para kader sebagai sasaran program tidak hanya mengerti dan memahami, namun juga berperan aktif dengan cara menerapkan apa yang sudah diketahui pada kegiatan ini. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data dengan menggunakan program statistic program, pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan diperoleh hasil terdapat 58 % menyatakan menarik, 32 % menyatakan sangat menarik, dan sisanya 10% cukup menarik. Kemudian program pengabdian masyarakat disampaikan dengan baik sebesar 65%, sangat baik 25%, dan cukup baik 10%. Hasil pretest pengetahuan kader terkait pengertian, penyebab, tanda gejala, pencegahan, dan tatalaksana terkait penyakit tidak menular hipertensi berada pada kategori pengetahuan buruk sebesar 55% dan pengetahuan baik 45%. Hasil dari posttest dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat tingkat pengetahuan kader meningkat yaitu pengetahuan baik sebesar 85% dan pengetahuan buruk sebesar 15%. Program Pengabdian Masyarakat ini dilakukan dalam bentuk Edukasi kesehatan yang dilakukan dengan informasi yang sesuai dan spesifik dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan para kader yang nantinya dapat membantu pasien hipertensi dalam mengatasi masalahnya di masyarakat ABSTRACT: Community service activities related to the empowerment of hear cadres (Hypertension Awerness) are a pattern method of fostering cadre empowerment education through health education activities and direct cadre mentoring which aims to train the ability of health cadres to recognize problems and manage hypertension. This method is used so that the cadres as program targets not only understand and understand, but also play an active role by applying what is already known in this activity. Based on the results of data processing using the statistical program, the community service carried out showed that 58% said it was interesting, 32% said it was very interesting, and the remaining 10% said it was quite interesting. Then the community service program was delivered well at 65%, very well at 25%, and quite well at 10%. The pretest results of cadre knowledge related to understanding, causes, signs, symptoms, prevention, and management related to hypertension non-communicable diseases are in the category of bad knowledge of 55% and good knowledge of 45%. The results of the posttest of community service activities increased the knowledge level of cadres, namely good knowledge by 85% and bad knowledge by 15%. This Community Service Program is carried out in the form of health education which is carried out with appropriate and specific information that can increase the knowledge of cadres who can later help hypertension patients in overcoming problems in the community.
