Abstract

Kusnadi et al, 2019. Solid Fermentation Potential to Substitusi of Corn on Feed Efficiency of Protein and Energy Chicken Arab Phase Grower. pp. 495-501. Soil palm processing waste in the form of solid is very abundant. Solid has not been widely used for animal feed and is mostly discarded. The study aimed to determine the potential of solid fermentation to substitute corn in protein efficiency and Arab chicken feed energy in the grower phase. One hundred chickens of Arabian chicken DOC were used in this study. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 feed treatments and 5 replications. Feed treatment is P1: 0% solid fermentation, P2: 2.5% solid fermentation, P3: 5% solid fermentation, and P4: 7.5% solid fermentation. Chickens are kept 4 to 15 weeks old. Feeding twice a day and drinking water are given adlibitum. The parameters taken are protein consumption, protein efficiency, energy consumption and energy efficiency. The results of the study showed that solid fermentation for corn substitution in each treatment was P1; P2; P3 and P4 are 0%; 2.5%; 5% and 7.5% do not affect the consumption and efficiency of protein and energy of arabic chicken until the age of 15 weeks (grower period). From this study it can be concluded that solid fermentation can be given to arabic chicken feed until the age of 15 weeks (grower period) to replace corn feed ingredients. Solid fermentation in feed up to 7.5% has no effect on protein efficiency and feed energy.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to determine the level of knowledge and adoption of farmers on the use of new high yielding varieties (VUB). The research location is in Tebing Kaning Village, North Bengkulu Regency in March 2021. The selection of locations and respondents purposively are farmers and extension workers totaling 58 people who take part in labor-intensive technical guidance. Data collection is done through surveys. The results showed that the level of knowledge of farmers before and after the study on the introduction of VUB increased by an average of 20.07% for each measurement variable and the adoption of VUB technology showed high adoption by 36 samples (92%), moderate adoption rate by 14 samples (7%) and low adoption rate as much as 2 samples (1%)
