Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the effect of NPF (non-performing financing) and FDR (financing to deposit ratio) to the volume of financing in Indonesia Islamic Banks with third-party funds as a mediating variable. This research is a quantitative research.Methodology: The populations in this study are Bank Indonesia Publication Reports and other references from journals, research, internet, etc. Sampling was done by purposive sampling method Secondary data collection method used is documentation method. Data analysis techniques used in this research is the technique of mediation regression analysis, which uses multiple causal step method.Findings : The results show that NPF (non-performing financing) does not affect the volume of financing in Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia, FDR (financing to deposit ratio) does not affect the volume of financing in Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia, NPF (non-performing financing) has no effect on DPK (third party funds), FDR (financing to deposit ratio) has no effect on DPK (third party funds), DPK (third party funds) has a positive effect on the volume of financing in Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia, DPK partially mediates the effect of NPF (non-performing financing) to the volume of financing Islamic banks in Indonesia, DPK perfectly mediates the effect of FDR (financing to deposit ratio) to the volume of financing Islamic banks in Indonesia.Originality/Contribution: This is the first study to used Islamic banks selected for this research are Bank Muamalat Indonesia, Bank Syariah Mandiri, Bank Syariah Mega Indonesia and the data are taken from the tri-monthly report.

Abstract

In the more globalized world, social networking sites are used to connect people and popular as a learning platform. More people use webinars to talk about specific topics through a social network. The number of online courses raise and change the way people learn. People used to study in a classroom with a tutor in front of them, but now people only need to sit in front of a screen to learn new things. However, the effectiveness of this process is still questioned. Therefore, this study aims to analyse the effectiveness of online coaching through a social networking site and the critical challenge in online coaching and approach to tackle it. This study is qualitative research. The data is collected from online interviews with a semi-structured  interview guide. The sample of the study is 12 mentees and 5 mentors who had been involved in 12 weeks of online scholarship coaching held by Coach Potato Indonesia. The data is analyzed using a thematic content method, and the effectiveness of online coaching is measured by using the Kirkpatrick Model. The result of the study is that online mentoring through social networking sites is effective and efficient, especially in particular related to geographical and financial issues. The authors found the critical challenges in online mentoring are internet connection and timing. Therefore, online mentoring should use multiple platforms to adjust with the technical issue that might occur.

Abstract

The popularity of green tea across the globe has brought many foreign visitors to visit Japan, the country where green tea culture develop. It encourages the growth of the green tea business in Japan which led to the high competition in the Japanese green tea industry. Two brands of Green Tea Farms that are popular among tourists include D:matcha Kyoto and Obubu Tea Farms. This paper aims to analyse the content characteristics of Instagram to find out what type of content earns the highest engagement rate in the Green Tea industry in Wazuka, Japan. The data will be collected from social media analytical tools FanPaga Karma, and will be analysed using The Circular Model of SoMe for problem identification for content distribution. The research approach is descriptive analysis. The research found that the type of content on Instagram that mostly earned a high interaction rate from the audience of the F & B green tea industry in Japan are reels and carousels with the theme of human interest and product focus. This study contributes to the understanding of effective content to promote green tea business on Instagram.

Abstract

The public's need for higher education is one of the factors in the increasing number of universities in Indonesia. This makes universities need to carry out marketing communications to build a positive brand image to the public and Telkom University uses brand ambassadors to build this brand image. This research aims to see the influence that Brand Ambassador Tanjidor and Brand Ambassador SMB Telkom have on Telkom University's brand image, using the dimensions of visibility, credibility, attraction and power. Meanwhile, the dimensions of brand image are strength of brand association, favorableness of brand association, and uniqueness of brand association. This research also links it to ELT communication theory. The research method used is quantitative with a comparative study type. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 385 respondents with a population of Instagram followers @telkomuniversity and @smbtelkom. The data collection technique in this research uses a non-probability sampling technique, namely purposive sampling. The research results show that SMB Brand Ambassadors have a greater influence, both partially and simultaneously, on Telkom University's Brand Image.
