Abstract

The number of people affected by Covid 19 in the world continues to increase every day. Based on the Worldometers page, as of September 23, 2020, the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the world is 31,749,508 (31.7 million) issues. The recovery rates have also increased, but some people at high risk can cause serious health problems (Task Force on COVID-19). Emotional and mental disorders can occur due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, especially in people who have to isolate/quarantined. Such conditions cause the need to provide shelters for activities for people undergoing self-isolation so that anxiety can be controlled and immunity can increase. The study aims to determine the level of trust of santri in choosing the 'Aisyiyah Yogyakarta University (Unisa) Shelter. This research is a quantitative analytic survey study with a single variable, namely the trust of covid 19 students, involving 30 respondents. Accidentally involving, 30 respondents determined the criteria by filling out a standardized satisfaction questionnaire using descriptive analysis. The results showed that 100% of respondents highly trust the Unisa shelter as a place for self-isolation. The trust is based on three dimensions where the dimensions of ability and benevolence are at a high level of trust, while the integrity dimension is at a moderate level of trust. In the integrity dimension, where the level of trust is moderate, skill performance still needs to be improved.

Abstract

Effective communication is a component in patient safety standards, one of which is implemented in the handover activity. One of the widely used standard is the SBAR (Situation Background Assessment Recommendation). This study uses a quasi experiment research design with a one-group pre-post test design. Respondents in this study are 29 students from 2nd and 3rd year students of midwifery who are conducting obstetrics clinical practice. The data collection is done by observation, and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Match Pairs Test. This study indicates that effective communication role play using the SBAR method can improve effective communication skills at the time of handover and will give better results if done using real cases. So SBAR communication methods can be used as an effective communication standard that can be applied at the time of handover.

Abstract

The results of the study of the patient safety management team in Indonesia for health services revealed that the provision of informed consent in various healthcare institutions needs to be optimal. Most health workers only ask patients and families to sign informed consent without providing a detailed explanation. This condition certainly affects the knowledge of patients and families. Knowledge of patients and families can cause problems if desirable things happen. This study aimed to describe the application of informed consent in family planning services at Anisa Yogyakarta Independent Midwife Practice (PMB). This study used descriptive qualitative methods. The sampling technique using snowball sampling technique amounted to 4 midwife informants and four acceptor informants. The results of in-depth interviews conducted with four midwife informants said that the implementation of informed consent in family planning services at the Independent Midwife Practice (PMB) had gone well. The midwife had carried out the obligation to ask for consent and provide information while for the completeness of filling out informed consent, 14 informed consent filled in, as many as eight informed consent and six incomplete informed consent and from in-depth interviews, the acceptor was able to explain the contents of the informed consent. Acceptor informants said they signed the action consent sheet after the midwife explained about family planning (KB) that acceptors would use. The informed consent application in family planning services at the Independent Midwife Practice (PMB) has generally been done well. Still, the completeness of filling out informed consent has yet to be maximized, and acceptors generally understand informed consent in family planning services.

Abstract

Based on data from the World Health Organization (WHO), the global prevalence of reproductive tract infections among teenagers ranged from 35% to 42% in 2012. In the specific context of Indonesia, statistics reveal that out of the country's 69.4 million adolescents, a staggering 63 million exhibited concerning hygiene behaviours. Additionally, it was noted that up to 5.2 million young women frequently experienced discomfort during menstruation due to inadequate hygiene practices. This research aims to provide insights into the knowledge and practices of menstrual hygiene among adolescents at a public high school in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The study employed a quantitative descriptive approach and was conducted as a cross-sectional investigation. The results revealed that most respondents exhibited a high level of readiness and knowledge, with 91.6% categorised as having good knowledge, while 8.3% demonstrated sufficient ability. Notably, none of the participants fell into the category of inadequate knowledge. Regarding preparation for menstruation, 44 respondents were well-prepared, whereas four respondents exhibited sufficient preparation. These findings shed light on the importance of promoting menstrual hygiene education and practices among adolescents in Indonesia to improve overall reproductive health and well-being.

Abstract

Anemia during pregnancy is often referred to as a "potential danger to mother and child," meaning it poses a significant risk to both. The effects of anemia during pregnancy include hemorrhage, miscarriage, and preterm birth. In fetuses, it can lead to neonatal death, low birth weight, and heart disease. In Indonesia, the prevalence of anemia is 48.9%. Pregnant women are advised to consume at least 90 iron (Fe) tablets throughout pregnancy. Proper consumption of iron tablets involves avoiding tea and coffee while taking them, as these beverages can inhibit iron absorption. Factors influencing anemia include compliance with iron tablet consumption and the frequency of antenatal care visits. This study aims to examine the role of Posyandu (Integrated Health Post) in supporting the integration of primary healthcare services to prevent anemia during pregnancy. It employed qualitative research method and involved research participants, including key informants (midwives and health cadres) and supporting informants (pregnant women). Data were collected using a purposive sampling technique and in-depth interviews, with interview guidelines and a voice recorder as research instruments. Data analysis followed several stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that Posyandu plays a crucial role in preventing anemia during pregnancy at Puskesmas (Community Health Center) Berbah. Its roles include encouraging antenatal care visits, promoting Posyandu attendance, providing health and nutrition education, detecting anemia risk early among pregnant women, referring cases to healthcare facilities, and monitoring behavioral compliance.

The attendance rate reached 90-95% with high enthusiasm. This program had an impact on increasing the congregation's awareness and concern for health. In the future, activities can be expanded to include early detection of cervical cancer for women of reproductive age
