Abstract

This research was reffered to the increasing of population matters and government program in applying long-term contraception method as the solution. For dealing with that matters we need to have a good knowledge about family planning and contraception tools used by acceptor in selecting contraception tools. Since the knowledge has been domain in shaping one’s behavior, and the acceptors could used long-term method. This study aimed to establish the relationship between knowledge and mothers’ attitudes toward long term contraception in village population. This study employed descriptive correlational research design and involved 100 mothers by simple random sampling in Bojong Village, Cianjur District, Indonesia. Data were analysed using chi square. The results showed that there is not significant correlation between the two variables (p=0,64). We cannot say that there is a relationship between knowledge they had and score participants presenting on the scale of attitudes.

Abstract

Asphyxia neonatorum is still the third cause of death for newborns in the first week of life. Failure to breathe spontaneously and regularly after birth if not handled properly will be fatal for the baby's life. The purpose of this study was to determine the risk factors and incidence of asphyxia neonatorum. This study uses an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach, using secondary data from the medical record installation of Muhamadiyah Hospital Palembang for the period 1 Sept to 1 Oct 2016 with a total sampling technique of 156 births. statistical analysis using chi-square. The results of the analysis of the incidence of asphyxia neonatorum was 8.3%. There was a significant relationship between amniotic fluid mixed with meconium (p=0,000;OR=21,719) and prolonged second stage (p=0,002;OR=42,600) and asphyxia neonatorum. Early detection through regular antenatal examinations can minimize risk factors and the incidence of asphyxia neonatorum.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Diabetes Mellitus is a disease that has hyperglycemia caused by a decrease in the ability of the pancreas to secrete insulin. High blood sugar levels can disrupt platelet function and lead to the formation of blood clots and therefore, diabetic patients are at risk of developing peripheral arterial disease. The risk of ineffective peripheral perfusion can be overcome with non-pharmacological measures, namely the Buerger Allen Exercise (BAE). The Buerger Allen exercise is easy to do, such as doing muscle contractions by applying changes in the position of gravitational force and muscle pumps by applying foot and ankle movements to smooth blood vessels. This research uses a qualitative design type with a case study method. This research was carried out on subject I on 17-21 March and on subject II 23-27 March 2024 in the working area of ??the Sidorejo Health Center, Lubuklinggau City. The inclusion criteria in this study were patients aged 40 - 45 years who had no wounds, while the exclusion criteria were DM patients with other comorbidities such as asthma, fractures, gastritis who had gangrene and wounds. Data collection was carried out by observation and interviews using instruments in the form of ABI sheets, Buerger Allen Exercise SOP. In this study, the results obtained after carrying out the Buerger Allen Exercise were that both patients reported reduced complaints of tingling and itching, and blood glucose levels decreased. The Buerger Allen Exercise intervention has proven to be effective in
