Abstract

The goal is to have meaningful learning for MIN Korong Gadang students through the application of a contextual approach in thematic learning and learning plan documents that have thematic contextual nuances by incorporating three national education agendas, namely strengthening character education, strengthening literacy, and 21st century learning. quality learning outcomes in schools. The method of this community service activity uses the lecture, demonstration, and discussion methods. The results of this training can be declared successful. This can be seen from: (1) The attendance of participants is in accordance with the target of 95% (23 out of 25 teachers) (2) the results of the training are stated to be very good according to the analysis of the performance appraisal rubric. (3) Participants are very enthusiastic about participating in the training, which can be seen from the seriousness of participating in the training, the many questions that arise in the mentoring process and the willingness of the teacher to apply a contextual approach in thematic learning as well as create curriculum documents in the form of contextual and thematic syllabus and lesson plans that are integrative.Keywords:  approach, contextual, thematic, integrative

Abstract

Pembelajaran online atau dalam jaringan (daring) merupakan salah satu ikhtiar dari solusi pembelajaran pada era pandemi covid 19 sekarang ini. Tulisan ini ingin melihat bagaimana return umpan balik atau respon dari praktik pembelajaran online di madrasah. Pertanyaan penelitian dirumuskan: Bagaimana pengembangan pembelajaran online di madrasah? Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah  kualitatif dengan menelaah lebih dalam tentang kecenderungan madrasah dalam menyelenggarakan proses belajar mengajar merespon suasana Pandemi Covid 19 dengan mempertajam pada studi dua kasus madrasah. Kasus yang dipilih adalah pengembangan pembelajaran online di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri dan Madrasah  Aliyah Negeri se Kota Padang. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan tidak berjalannya pembelajaran online di madrasah adalah karena anggapan bahwa handphone/gadget/android lebih banyak memberikan madhorot dari pada manfaat bagi perkembangan pendidikan di madrasah. Hal ini menjadi sumber masalah utama gagapnya madrasah dalam menghadapi pembelajaran online di masa pandemi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya kebijakan baru terkait penggunaan teknologi komunikasi di madrasah. Kalau selama ini masih dilarang, ke depan perlu akses tertentu agar siswa boleh menggunakan media komunikasi dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran.

Abstract

The background of this research is that there are still many fifth grade students whose learning outcomes are low, especially in the learning aspect of reading comprehension. Fifth grade students still have difficulties in understanding reading texts. This study wanted to find out and analyze students' reading comprehension skills, reasons for difficulties and alternative solutions to overcome problems in reading comprehension in fifth grade students at SD Negeri 18 Anduring, Padang City. This research approach uses qualitative research subjects 8 students of class V SD. Data obtained through observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that fifth grade students at SD Negeri 18 Anduring, Padang City have sufficient ability in literal comprehension skills and are classified as lacking in interpretive understanding, critical understanding, and creative understanding. Factors causing the difficulty of reading comprehension in fifth grade students of SD Negeri 18 Anduring, Padang City, namely interests and activities in pre-reading, reading, post-reading activities and differences in students' abilities, facilities and infrastructure and school environment and family upbringing. Solutions that can be implemented are changing students' habits to read books, providing facilities and infrastructure, and teachers can apply models, strategies and learning methods that are appropriate for students.
