Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop Problem Based Learning (PBL) based E-Comic learning media on Problem Solving Ability that is valid, practical, and effective on student learning outcomes in statistics material in class XII at SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Laur. The method used is the ADDIE method. The subjects of this study were 29 class XII students of SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Laur, 3 material and media experts. The instruments used in this study were in the form of material expert validation sheets and media expert validation sheets, teacher response questionnaires, student response questionnaires and post-test questions based on the results of the research that had been carried out obtained the results of validation of E-Comic learning media based on Problem Based Learning (PBL). ) Regarding Problem Solving Ability has a validity level of 91.22% with very valid criteria, the practicality level of learning media is 89.60% with very practical criteria and the level of effectiveness of learning media is 93.10% with very effective criteria.

Abstract

The importance of character education in learning is to improve the quality of implementation and educational outcomes in schools which leads to the achievement of student character formation. In this case, the teacher is not only tasked with delivering learning material, but is also tasked with instilling character values in students (Fatmawati, 2017: 8). This type of research is qualitative research and the method used is a descriptive method. Sugiyono (2017:9) qualitative research is a research method used to examine natural objects. The main aim of qualitative research is to understand social phenomena or symptoms by providing an explanation in the form of a clear description of the social phenomenon or symptom in the form of a series of words which will ultimately produce a theory, which is explained (Sujardewi, 2014: 110). Based on the description that has been presented, this research is defined as a research process that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people and behavior that is observed and carried out naturally. This research uses a qualitative research method with the hope of being able to describe the analysis of character education in mathematics learning material on absolute values for students at SMA class X Harapan Bangsa Samalantan. absolutely at SMA Harapan Bangsa Samalantan class X. In chapter IV, the results of the research that has been carried out and the discussion are presented. Therefore, (1) Results, (2) Discussion are successively put forward.1. Analysis of character education in mathematics learning with absolute value material in class X has been carried out by the teacher through planning, implementation and evaluation carried out by the teacher. Mathematics teachers in planning mathematics learning material have absolute values for the character values listed in the RPP, namely the character values of discipline, honesty, responsibility and skills. In implementing learning, mathematics teachers also apply character education through methods, strategies and learning media. Analysis of character education in mathematics learning with absolute value material is based on lesson plans that have been created and adapted to learning conditions. The teacher's learning implementation uses the case study method, so that students always think critically in their efforts to solve problem formulation in mathematics learning with absolute value material. Assessment of the achievement of character education in mathematics learning absolute value material in class X using test questions and observation sheets of student behavior in learning.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a teaching module based on differentiated learning in statistics material to enhance problem-solving skills that can achieve levels of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) study using the ADDIE development model. The instruments used to collect data are the validation sheet for learning devices, the validation sheet for LKPD, the teacher response questionnaire, the student response questionnaire, and the post-test. Based on the first research results, the calculation of the validation sheet for the learning device (teaching module) is 82.42% and the LKPD is 85.19%, each with very valid criteria. The average calculation of the validation sheet results is 83.81%, which indicates a very valid criterion. The second practicality score, based on the teacher response questionnaire and the student response questionnaire, with an average value of 85.51%, falls into the very practical category. As for the third aspect, the effectiveness of the differentiated learning-based teaching module in statistics on the problem-solving abilities of junior high school students reached 67.24%, which falls into the effective category, based on the posttest assessment results.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze students' errors in solving composition function problems based on the Ennis Criteria. This research uses a qualitative approach and the type of research is descriptive. The research subjects were class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Belitang Hilir. The instrument in this research is test questions which are analyzed using the Ennis criteria indicators and interview guidelines. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that students (1) with high abilities made mistakes in the situation and overview criteria; (2) Medium ability students make mistakes in the inference, situation and overview criteria; (3) Low ability students make mistakes in the criteria of focus, reason, inference, situation, clarity and overview.

Abstract

Kesulitan belajar merupakan suatu kondisi dimana mahasiswa tidak dapat belajar dengan baik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kesulitan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal pemahaman matematis pada mata kuliah teori peluang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Adapun subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester VI tahun akademik 2020-2021 pada program studi pendidikan matematika yang mengambil mata kuliah teori peluang di IKIP PGRI Pontianak. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes dan wawancara dengan teknik pengumpul data menggunakan teknik pengukuran dan komunikasi langsung. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa dengan kemampuan tinggi (M1) mengalami sedikit kesulitan belajar yakni dalam menyelesaikan soal pemahaman matematis pada indikator instrumental. Selanjutnya untuk mahasiswa dengan kategori sedang (M2) kurang dalam memahami konsep peluang dan pemahaman instrumentalnya, sedangkan untuk pemahaman relasional nya baik. Pada mahasiswa dengan kategori rendah (M3) ditemukan tidak memahami konsep peluang khususnya terkait penulisan anggota ruang sampel dan peristiwa, tidak dapat menghitung nilai peluang, tidak memahami konsep integral sehingga salah dalam menentukan hasil akhir nilai ekspektasi, dan tidak memahami konsep fungsi kepadatan peluang. AbstractLearning difficulty is a condition where students cannot study well. The purpose of this study was to analyze students' difficulties in solving mathematical problems in probability theory courses. This is qualitative descriptive research. The subjects in this study were the sixth-semester students of the 2020-2021 academic year in the mathematics education study program who took the opportunity theory course at IKIP PGRI Pontianak. The research instruments used were tests and interviews with data collection techniques using measurement techniques and direct communication. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that students with a high ability (M1) experienced a little difficulty in learning, namely in solving mathematical understanding questions on instrumental indicators. Furthermore, students in the moderate category (M2) lack understanding of the concept of opportunity and its instrumental understanding, while relational understanding is good. It was found that students in the low category (M3) did not understand the concept of probability, especially regarding the writing of sample space members and events, could not calculate the probability value, and did not understand the integral concept so they were wrong in determining the final expected value, and did not understand the concept of the probability density function.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan video animasi menggunakan software Powtoon yang valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 01 Boyan Tanjung Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu pada materi relasi dan fungsi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan rancangan Borg & Gall yang meliputi: potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, revisi produk, uji coba produk, dan revisi desain. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 01 Boyan Tanjung sebanyak 10 orang siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi, angket respon, dan tes kemampuan berpikir krtitis. Berdasarkan hasil validasi video animasi Powtoon dapat dinyatakan valid dengan persentase indeks rata-rata 92% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Tingkat kepraktisan berada pada kriteria sangat praktis dengan rata-rata persentase dari respon guru sebesar 98,67% dan dari respon siswa sebesar 93,38 %. Tingkat keefektifan berada pada kriteria cukup efektif dengan persentase sebesai 61%.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Problem Solving-based Student Worksheet (LKPD) to improve problem-solving ability in solving statistics word problems for seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 17 Pontianak, and to determine its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The study was motivated by students' low problem-solving ability in statistics word problems, resulting from conventional teaching methods and limited worksheets used in schools. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method with a simplified 4D model reduced to a 3D model consisting of define, design, and develop stages. The research subjects consisted of three expert validators (two material experts and two media experts), 24 seventh-grade B students for instrument try-out, and 28 seventh-grade G students for the product try-out. Data were collected through validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and a problem-solving ability test (posttest), then analyzed descriptively using percentage formulas. The results show that the developed worksheet achieved a validity level of 93.56% (material expert 90.47%; media expert 96.66%), categorized as very valid; a practicality level of 92.45% (teacher response 94%; student response 90.91%), categorized as very practical; and an effectiveness level of 75%, categorized as effective, as shown by 21 out of 28 students achieving mastery learning. Thus, the developed Problem Solving-based worksheet is feasible to be used as an alternative teaching material to improve students' problem-solving ability in mathematics word problems.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of students' mathematical problem-solving skills in solving word problems on fraction material and the lack of instructional materials that support active learning. The objectives of this study were to develop a Problem-Based Learning (PBL)-based Student Worksheet (LKPD) on fraction material and to determine its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The participants included material experts, media experts, a mathematics teacher, and seventh-grade students of SMP Pesantren Assalam. Data were collected through validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and mathematical problem-solving tests in the form of pretests and posttests. Percentage analysis was used to determine the validity and practicality of the developed LKPD, while its effectiveness was analyzed using the Normalized Gain (N-Gain) method. The results showed that the developed Problem-Based Learning (PBL)-based Student Worksheet (LKPD) met the criteria of highly valid, highly practical, and effective in improving students' mathematical problem-solving skills on fraction material. These findings were supported by expert validation, positive responses from teachers and students, and improved learning outcomes based on the N-Gain analysis. Therefore, the developed LKPD is suitable for use as an instructional material to support mathematics learning on fraction material.
