Kejawen culture in Indonesia, especially in Javanese society, has a close relationship with Islam. These two beliefs run side by side, but in fact there are boundaries between the Kejawen culture and the Islamic religion. The purpose of this research is to find out how the Kejawen culture and the Islamic religion are, the difference between the two, and what are the boundaries in Islamic life. This study uses a literature review approach and qualitative methods to provide a comprehensive picture of the topic under study. Through a literature review, the authors can compile findings from various sources and provide in-depth argumentation of evaluations. The results of the study show that Islam and Kejawen culture are two different things but have always coexisted and have been inherent in Javanese society for a long time. In addition, Kejawen culture and Islamic religion have limitations in their application that can be known by the general public, namely the application of Islamic religious values by adapting local culture without eliminating Islamic principles.

In LTE Network, users can move freely in the network through fast and seamless handover (HO). This research focuses on intra-LTE handover which occurs using interface X2 to move an EU between two eNBs, i.e. source eNB and target eNB without any changes in MME and SGW at EPC level. Two popular algorithms of intra-LTE handover namely A2-A4-RSRQ and A3-RSRP were evaluated and compared through simulations as well as direct measurements in the field. Simulation is conducted using NS3 simulation tool where performances of various scenarios from both algorithms were evaluated. The performance metrics studied include the average number of HOs that occur, throughput and optimized ratio. Simulations carried out for various scenarios in term of EU numbers, user speeds, and channel conditions. In addition, the results of one-month measurement of three eNBs were also presented. The measurement results are then compared and used to verify the simulation results. Furthermore, by using the optimizing ratio metric, the optimal pair of parameter values of Threshold as well as Offset and Handover Margin (HOM) along with Time-to-Trigger (TTT) are sought for the A2-A4-RSRQ and A3-RSRP respectively.

The alignment between learning objectives and assessment practices is critical to effective language teaching and learning. This study explores the alignment between learning objectives and assessment practices in English classes at a public senior high school in Jakarta, Indonesia. Grounded in a qualitative case study using Bigg’s constructive alignment framework, the study emphasizes the essential connection among learning objectives, teaching methods, and assessment practices. Involving three selected English teachers, documents comprising lesson plans and assessment instruments, classroom observation, and semi-structured interviews were employed to collect data. Findings indicate that the assessment tasks mostly align with the learning objectives. The assessments focus on the higher level of understanding: extended abstract and relational. However, misalignment between assessment and learning objective is found in this study, based on the missing assessment tasks and incomplete learning objectives stated in the lesson plans. Time constraints, lesson planning issues, and difficulties in designing assessment tasks and rubrics hinder the alignment. It implies that teachers require professional development programs on language assessment literacy and lesson planning, collaborative work with colleagues, and technology integration to maintain alignment, particularly in the context of education reforms. This study contributes to the existing research on constructive alignment in English classroom assessments. It provides insights into how alignment can improve student learning in English classrooms.
