Abstract

Methods for improving peat soils to increase soil carrying capacity and reduce environmentally sound soil compressibility, namely stabilization of the peat layer. This method uses additives such as lime, fly ash and husks. This method has been developed based laboratory by civil engineers. However, it takes a relatively long time to find out the laboratory results. Therefore, research in the field of mathematical models for stabilization of peat soil was developed to predict the laboratory results. In this study, a mathematical model was derived one of the physical properties of peat soil, that is the pore number in stabilizing peat soil. The model is derived from fluid equations through porous media based on the principle of continuum and control volume. Furthermore, the model is completed using a finite difference method, the MacCormack scheme which consists of two steps, that are predictor and corrector. After the model is simulated using matlab, it is known that there is a decrease in the soil pore value to a constant condition. This decrease in pore number is due to chemical reactions that occur by additives which make the soil pores smaller. Keywords: pore number, maccormack, stabilization of peat soil

Abstract

In Indonesia, there are many farmers as a livelihood because of fertile soil for agriculture and the demand for food. Production planning is the important part of managing cost spent by the company. In production planning, there are many constraints which have to be satisfied such as the number of productions, the number of workers, and the number of inventory. In previous research, constrained optimizations have been solved by exact method or heuristic method. In this research, production planning optimization will be solved by Firefly Algorithm (FA). FA works as a behavior of Firefly. One of firefly behavior used is less bright firefly will move toward brighter firefly. The simulation results show that FA method can find an approaching optimal solution of production planning like production cost, worker cost, and inventory holding cost satisfying the constraints of the number of productions, workers, and inventory.

Abstract

In the flight industry, there are two highest costs such as fuel cost and crew cost. The crew cost is affected by pairings selected from flight schedule. This research will explain about selecting the set of selected pairings using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Fuzzy Technique for Order Performance by Similarity to Ideal Solution (Fuzzy TOPSIS). Before using either Fuzzy AHP or Fuzzy TOPSIS, it will be formed collection of the set of selected pairings using greedy algorithm. After collection of the set of selected pairings is formed, then we determine goal and criteria. The goal is selecting the set of selected pairings from some alternatives. For each the set of selected pairings, there are some criterions such as the number of deadhead, the number of pairing A2, the number of pairing A3, the number of pairing A4, the number of pairing A5, and the number of pairing A6. Based on simulation results, both AHP and Fuzzy TOPSIS can select and give the rank of priority in entire the set of selected pairings.  Pada industri maskapai penerbangan, terdapat dua biaya yang sangat besar yaitu biaya bahan bakar dan biaya kru. Biaya kru dipengaruhi oleh pairing yang terpilih dari jadwal penerbangan. Pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan pemilihan himpunan pairing terpilih menggunakan metode Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) dan Fuzzy Technique for Order Performance by Similarity to Ideal Solution (Fuzzy TOPSIS). Sebelum menggunakan AHP atau Fuzzy TOPSIS, akan dibentuk kumpulan dari himpunan pairing terpilih menggunakan greedy algorithm. Setelah kumpulan himpunan pairing terpilih terbentuk, maka dibentuk goal dan kriteria. Goal adalah memilih himpunan pairing terpilih dari beberapa alternative. Pada setiap himpunan pairing yang terpilih, terdapat beberapa kriteria seperti jumlah deadhead, jumlah pairing A2, jumlah pairing A3, jumlah pairing A4, jumlah pairing A5, dan jumlah pairing A6. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan, metode AHP dan Fuzzy TOPSIS dapat memilih dan memberi peringkat prioritas pada pemilihan himpunan pairing terpilih.

Abstract

A Model describing the epidemic spread of the Ebola virus disease in region 1 and region 2 can be formed in a mathematical model, one of which is the SEIR endemic model. To form a mathematical model it is necessary to know the phenomenon of the spread of the Ebola virus, namely the large number of infected populations in an area which is not only caused by infected individuals in one area but can be caused by individuals traveling from one region to another. In this case, the SEIR model is analyzed for existence and uniqueness. Before doing the Analyze, the SEIR model was simplified. Then lipschitz was determined, so that an analysis of existence and uniqueness could be carried out. This shows that the SEIR model has a unique solution. Furthermore, a positive solution is determined in the model, to show that the SEIR model has a continuous and dynamic flow. Based on these results, it was found that the SEIR model in the spread of the Ebola virus had dynamic and a continuous flow.

Abstract

Pada artikel ini dibahas model matematika tipe SEIR untuk menggambarkan penyebaran penyakit infeksi dengan adanya penyembuhan dan tanpa adanya kekebalan terhadap infeksi tersebut. Pada model penyebaran penyakit, populasi dibedakan menjadi empat subpopulasi yaitu subpopulasi susceptible (subpopulasi individu yang rentan terhadap penyakit), subpopulasi exposed (subpopulasi individu yang terinfeksi namun belum menunjukkan tanda-tanda mengidap penyakit), subpopulasi infected (subpopulasi individu yang terinfeksi serta dapat menularkan penyakit) dan subpopulasi recovered (subpopulasi individu yang sembuh dari penyakit). Dalam model epidemik masa inkubasi disebut periode laten (exposed). Adanya periode laten erat kaitannya dengan model epidemik SEIR. Penyebaran penyakit sangat luas, sehingga dilakukan kontrol untuk meminimumkan subpopulasi infected dengan cara memberikan obat pada subpopulasi tersebut, serta meminimumkan biaya dari obat tersebut terhadap subpopulasi infected. Sedemikian hingga subpopulasi terinfeksi berkurang dan subpopulasi recovered akan bertambah dengan biaya pengobatan yang minimum. Untuk membentuk model kontrol adalah memebentuk Persamaan Pontriagin, kemudian menurunkan Pontriagin Hamiltonian terhadap kontrol, selanjutnya hasil turunan kontrol tersebut disubstitusikan kedalam Hamiltonian, sehingga diperoleh Hamiltonian Optimal. Dalam menentukan State dengan cara menurunkan Hamiltonian Optimal terhadap SEIR dan untuk menentukan Co-State dengan cara menurunkan Hamiltonian Optimal terhadap masing - masing nilai batas akhir yang bebas. Simulasi yang digunakan dengan Software Matlab berbantuan toolbox BVP4C. Berdasarkan hasil simulasi tersebut, diperoleh bahawa subpopulasi terinfeksi mengalami penurunan mendekati nol, namun untuk subpopulasi yang sembuh mengalami kenaikan yang tinggi. Sedemikian hingga kontrol yang diberikan untuk pengendalian model penyebaran penyakit sangat efektif.

Abstract

Abstract: Peat soil is an organic soil with very low carrying capacity and high compressibility. The condition is less profitable for civil engineers in building a civil foundation foundation. One method of peat soil improvement can be done with astabilization method that more environment-friendly and cheaper than other methods. Laboratory based peat stabilization studies to increase carrying capacity, reduce compression and improve peat soil physical properties have been conducted in Indonesia. The results of laboratory studies shown in the graph are still limited by time and content of the mixture. Therefore, further research is needed on the mathematical model toward the physical properties of peat soil stabilization. In this research will be formulated mathematical model of water content on the physical properties of peat soil stabilization. The model is derived from the fluid equation through porous media based on the principle of continum and controlvolume. The model is then resolved numerically by different method until MacCormack scheme with two steps are predictor step using forward difference and correctorstep using backward difference. The MacCormack scheme has the advantage of solving fluid flow equations and continuity. The model is then simulated and validated by comparing the simulation results with the real system. From the simulation results obtained the water content gradually decreased, the decrease is almost close to zero. In addition, it can be seen the difference in decrease in moisture content at each test point although in small quantities.Keywords:Moisture Content, MacCormack, Peat Soil Stabilization.

Abstract

Model that describes the epidemic spread of disease can spread in this area, one of which can be formed in the mathematical model of endemic SIR (susceptible, infected, and recovery). Based on the model, we can analysis existence and uniqueness, it shows that the system has solution and unique. Furthermore SIR indicated that the model has a positive solution. The final results obtained from this study is SIR model of having a uniqueand solution, as well as solutions that model is positive.

Abstract

Lamongan Regency is one of the regencies in East Java which is quite potential to support economic needs. One of the potentials in Lamongan is the entertainment and recreation sector, in this case tourism. Tourism is one of the sectors that has experienced an increase in investment so that it is able to increase economic activity and have an impact on Regional Original Income (PAD). To determine the effect of the amount of tourism on PAD in Lamongan Regency, multiple linear regression analysis and determination coefficient analysis were carried out. The results of this study indicate that the number of tourists greatly influences the PAD in Lamongan Regency and has increased.
